Combat Data

Magic: She can transform into a black fox at will, but on nights of a new moon, she transforms into something much more sinister. She also has the ability to glide, but her wings are much too delicate to allow flight. Maurelle is also a master at using Glamour, and more specifically: illusions and animal magic. She is also able to use glamour to make herself look like her target's perfect lover; the target usually gives her what she wants at that point.


Weaknesses: Fire and silver are fatal to her kind.


Weapons: Although handy with a blade, she prefers archery. She's also a lovely flutist who knows of many human ballads. Which technically isn't a weapon, but it sure does help sometimes!


Personality

Maurelle follows the Code of the Unseelie Court. She is a passionate fae who acts without thought, only instinct. She can't stand doing nothing, she is constantly doing something that burns off her infinite energy. Sometimes she goes into the village just to rile some people up--usually drunks--and create a little chaos. She loves chaos. Maurelle may seem like a malevolent fae, but she can be described best as chaotic neutral. She loves the company of others--especially their attention. She has been known to take hunters lost in the woods to her bed, then leave them in strange places in the village. Like a woman's changing room.


The Code of the Unseelie Court

Like many human courts, the Unseelie Court has its own code of conduct, a code which all of the Unseelie have to abide by. The details of this code are. . . .


? Change is Good: The Unseelie firmly believe that security is an illusion. They considered chaos to be the ruling force in the universe, and accepted that they had to adapt and change to survive.


? Glamour is Free: Glamour is the magick of the Daoine Sidhe. Both the Seelie and Unseelie possess its power. However, the two Courts have differing opinions over its use. The Unseelie believe that to have power and not to use it was near to sin. They used their power for whatever they saw fit.


? Honor is a Lie: The Unseelie placed no stock in the ideals of honor. Instead, they pursued their own self-interests vigorously. The Unseelie felt as if truth could be only be reach through a devotion to self, not a devotion to others.


? Passion Before Duty: Passion is considered to be the truest state of being. The Unseelie act without thought on pure instinct and passion.


History

There isn't much to say about Maurelle's past. She's lived for a very long time, but the last time she was sentient was before the Great Cleansing. The Great Cleansing was performed by a sect of cultists who once worshipped the Unseelie. A strange man had infiltrated the cult and turned them. All thanks to Maurelle, who had tried to seduce and have her way with the man. After he realized what had happened, he grew angry and tried to cut off her wings. Instead of fleeing, she sent a wild dog to maul his beautiful face. His vengeance was to "cleanse" land of the Unseelie. Maurelle didn't warn her people; honor is a lie. She went to a human crypt and used a potion to put herself to sleep. She remained there for four hundred years before she was found by humans who awakened her. And so her reign of mischievousness continues on.
