Luke has brought back the Jedi Order to the world. In his old age he unified the galaxies, after which he traveled with a select few people to find force sensitive beings and train them in the ways of the Jedi. This choice did not go over well with the senate however, seeing as many people feared the force and its users. Nonetheless, Luke established his own school, and trained many.Years have passed since then and tensions between galaxies and planets have not deescalated, since many of the treaties made during that time have also put a chokehold on the economy, leading into a great depression. This in turn has created a faction known as the Rebellion, and they aim to take down the government. The Jedi order believe that this is the work of the Theory of the universal balance and seek to keep peace, and prevent chaos. This lead to almost brutal tactics by the Order. This has many Jedi disillusioned, and some have left to join the Rebellion.
