It's Complicated

Lacuna

eyebrow queen

"She's unstoppable, unpredictable."

She been a tomboy for what seems like forever, never quite fitting in the

gaggles of girls who fuss over their cuticles and hair. While they were

figuring out which shade of pink to wear to prom, she was figuring out

how loose the bearing should be on her skateboard.

She's simply one of the guys.

"I'm so jaded, calculated, wrong."

He's that guy girls friend zone faster than the nerds who tutored them.

The one whose only had one serious relationship in his life that, of

course, ruined him. He falls to hard and loves to fast. Girls get him

tongue tied and nervous.

He's simply just a friend.

"It's too easy to complicate"

But all that's about to change when they come in contact with each other.

For once he feels comfortable around a girl...he's not lost for words.

Unfortunately for him, she's been adopted into his group of sweet-talking,

lady killer friends. Just his luck.

"Shut up. I'm trying to fix this engine without your input."

Lake Belisle || 17 || Heterosexual

large.gif

FC: Crystal Reed

Traits: "Aw, it'll give me away." +Playful, Fun, Open, Witty; -Thrill-Seeker, Reckless, Awkward-Romantic

Personality: "It's easy to guess, dude."

Lake is the type of girl who's more open to things that are unfamiliar. If someone told her sometime weird and unusual, she'd just be like, "Hell yeah, do you!". She likes to take risks, and would rather take the hazardous risk than staying in her comfort zone. This plays along with her recklessness, and her thrill-seeking attitude. Lake loves to do dangerous things, just to see if she would survive them, and just to get the adrenaline pumping urgently through her veins. Lake is playful, and she always loves to have fun, and never takes anything too literally unless that are serious. The girl as sharp wit, and always uses it to her advantage. Though she is witty, she does some stupid things that make her look like an idiot. But, she doesn't care. The girl has no shame. Lake, despite her smooth exterior, can be awkward. If she ever tries to be romantic or be affectionate, it'll come off as awkward. And if anyone tries to be romantic with her, she'll become awkward and shy and nervous. It's adorable, but she gets antsy and nervous. Overall, this tomboy is a reckless girl that just loves to have fun.

History: "Nothing to mind."

Lake was born on a humid summer night in Phoenix, Arizona on the dat of July 17. She was born in a hospital like every other normal baby. Her mother was a major fan of French names, but her father was a major fan of natural names. He wanted to pick the first name, but so did she. Like the immature twenty-two-year-olds they were, they played a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, and her mother lost, leaving her father to pick the first name. They came up with the name Lake Belisle together. They thought it was catchy and super rad for a girl.

Once Lake was three years old, her parents both turned twenty-five, and had finally finished their wedding plans. Her mother planned a whole wedding with Lake's father, and they finally wed after a few months. Lake turned five years old, and that meant she had to head off to preschool. At that time, she had learned and learned and learned. She excelled over the other premature four and five year olds, and she sucked in the information like a little sponge. Soon, another two long years of her life rolled around nicely.

Lake turned seven. Lake went to the first grade, she was finally growing up. But,when she headed to preschool in olive cargo shorts, a baggy white tee shirt, and black sneakers, while holding a toad between her small muddy hands, her female classmates looked at her differently. To the girl classmates, she was weird. She was gross, boyish, unfeminine. That's when she knew that she was going to be different also. But, the boys swarmed her, automatically befriending her. The little girl were still in that 'boys are icky' stage, so they weren't jealous, for now.

Lake went through elementary school, and middle school quickly. She hit puberty like every other girl and got to high school. She moved out of town to the current location she's in. They were finally in those cliché groups like they were on a television show, or the movie
Mean Girls. None of the girls liked her, but she dealt with it, hopping around groups of girls who were just a tad like her, and boys that were a lot like her. She didn't seem to stay around in one group at a time, but she had a good amount of friends that weren't connected to her hips. She was okay, cool.

She wanted to make a name out of herself, a reputation. It was a new, clean slate now that she moved away from Phoenix. Since she had finally settled in, she starting pulling her usual pranks and she shenanigans. She was the talk of the school, whether they had hated her or adored her. Her thrill-seeking had gotten her promoted to a popular tomboy that hung out with nearly nobody. That was until a group of boys took her in. Lake liked it, they were cool and friendly, and related to her. So, she finally stayed with one group.

Theme Song: "I only have endless amounts of favorite songs that have gotten out if my control."

tumblr_mqel7htrM91rlulr4o1_500.gif

Traits:

"Just about sums it up."

+Intelligent, Driven, Compassionate

-Awkward, Quiet, Over analytical

Personality:

"People call me weird."

Aidan is the guy that everyone comes to when they need someone to talk to, mostly it's because he never refuses

to help them or tells them their problems are stupid. Unfortunately, this is about the only thing people come to him

about. He really only has his close group of friends and his family. Other than that he is a bit of a loner, but it doesn't

bother him. He has grown used to it all and finds solace in the quiet. He has a tendency to over analyze things and

always assume the worst of situations; at least for himself. The only time he is optimistic is when he is giving advice

to others.

Background:

"Utter shit."

Growing up Aidan always stood in the shadow of his brothers. They were both into sports and on the varsity teams.

While on the other hand he spent his days playing guitar alone in his room. His mother died when he was 6 and

before he ever had a chance to really know her. The only memory he has of her is when she took him to the local

amusement park, and even that memory is a little fuzzy.

His father took it hard when his mother died, he turned to the bottle and became a half functioning drunk. For the

most part it never bothered Aidan. Growing up with the constant brutality of her father's words gave him a thick skin

towards hurtful words, but caused him to over analyze situations. His brothers on the the other had never suffered

under their fathers scrutiny. Then again, why would they? They were the perfect and athletic sons his father always

wanted.

Aidan has always felt the need to please his father and make him proud of him. But due to his lack of any athletic

ability, he turned to music. There was a special connection between music and him. His mother played guitar,

much like he did, and he used the same guitar as his mother. Music was the one form of relief of him, no matter

what his father said. But in many of his fathers late night drunken rages, he would often cuss and yell at Aidan.

Telling him that he he reminded him too much of his mother.

The only constant sanity in Aidan's life was his friends, they never looked at him like he was the son of satan, or

like he was the little brother who couldn't do what they could do.

Aidan laid back in his musty basement his friends and him had attempted to make into a man cave. The posters on the walls were starting to flop over and the stacks of video games had already toppled over into a choppy yet graceful line. Being high school kids they didn't have much to work with. Sure they had jobs, but buying food and games always outweighed getting decorations for the basement. His half lidded eyes started to close as the quiet of the room filled his ears. Living in a house with no one but boisterous boy tended to make silence a rare occurrence.

The quiet was quickly broken as the sound of construction boots hitting the floor echoed through the floor boards. Just what Aidan needed, his father was home. Immediately the barking of orders started. Clean this, wash that. Aidan felt like Cinderella whenever he was around. Groaning as he lifted himself to his feet her tromped up the stairs to face the tall statuesque man. "Yeah okay." It was a Friday evening, the last thing he wanted to do was clean. Turning on his heels tromped into the kitchen, away from his father. Doing a quick scan to make sure that the militant like man wasn't watching him with his hawk eyes. Once the coast was clear he popped his phone out of his back pocked and shot a text off his his friends. "SOS. Old man's PMSing again. Send in the swat." To anyone else that text would sound like complete asinine, but to his friends it was the sign to make up a lame excuse to free him. Or just be ready with the car when he snuck out his window.

Lake ||

Outfit || Feeling: Bored

The tomboy groaned. Her house was empty, yet again. Her parents were explorers, and they were currently visiting the Amazon, leaving her home alone. Her phone buzzed next to her. She was laying facedown on her bed, just blasting some Two Door Cinema Club. It was surprising that she had noticed the buzz under the loud indie rock music that night. In her backyard were the lake was, the mosquitoes were starting to thrive over and around the water and shore, searching for blood. She turned onto her back, and picked up her white iPhone 5C, and read the screen. That background was a picture her father took of a Siberian sunset. She smiled somberly at it, since her parents were off at the Amazon, somewhere in Argentina or Brazil, she was no geographer. Lake sighed and finally unlocked her phone and read the text sent to her from a boy named Jason. It said that he had wanted to hang out at her house with a couple of her friends, since he knew no one was there, and it was fine by her. She knew Jason had a group of guy friends, but she wouldn't say she was associated with the rest of the group. She hasn't met the others yet.

Her thumbs ran across the screen. 'Sure, is it your group that's coming? Whatever, whatever, it's fine by me. Bring bathing suits, no skinny dipping allowed.' Lake texted him, and he replied with the thumbs up emoji, so she assumed it was an okay. Meanwhile, Jason texted the rest of his group so they could head over to her lake house. So she would know when they had arrived, she went downstairs to the
living room, and caught her dog on the couch. Her parents had brought him back from a trip from Australia, and they named him Wallaby. Ironic, they knew. Lake shooed him off of the couch as she laid down on it, and then Wallaby jumped onto her, laying on his side. The tomboy turned on the television, and then switched it to MTV. Lake smiled and silently cheered to herself as Ridiculousness turned on. As per usual, Rob Dyrdek introduced who was there, and began the funny videos. She laughed, cringed, and snickered as she watched. She even swore to herself that her dog whimpered as he saw someone get hit in the groin. Outside, she heard an engine rev to a stop, and car doors slam and start to talk loudly. A knock was rapped onto her door. She got up.

Time dragged on as Aidan waited for a response from any one of his friends. As the minutes passed by the punier is hands got from the soapy water he was drowning them in. As he placed the last dish he finished washing on the drying wrack, a vibration noise emitted from his back pocket. Pulling out his phone, his eyes flickered across the screen. It was a text from Jason, "On route to break you out. And bring your swim trunks." Aidan had no idea where they were going, let alone what he was going to tell his dad, but he really didn't care at this point. He had two brothers that could do the rest of the house work. There was no sense in him doing it all, while their lazy asses stayed on the couch.

With that, he headed up the stairs and to his room. Flinging his tall body onto the bed he let his head fall back on the pillow as he stared up at the stark white ceiling. It would only be a matter of minuted before Jason would be outside waiting for him. Thankfully, his room faced the street so he could see clearly see his bright red Dodge Charger coming down the street, that is if he didn't hear it first. Jason was a bit of a car whiz, that probably stemmed from his father being a mechanic and growing up around cars all his life. The Charger was his baby and he supped that thing up like it was no body's business. Aidan never really cared why he did it, it was still just a car, but with a better sound system.

The rumble of the Charger echoed down the street, sending Aidan to his feet. Jumping off the bed he quickly rummaged through his dresser until he found his swim trunks. When he did, opened his window and skillfully made his way down the roof. He didn't like having to sneak out of the house, but it was the only way he could get around his dad without having to his give him a grade A response as to why the house work wasn't done. Scaling the side of the house, he landed in the grass with a thud. Regaining his composer he made his way over to the car that sat there idly waiting for him. He could make out the shadowy heads in the car through the tinted glass, but he couldn't tell who exactly was in it. Sliding in, it looked around. It was the usual suspects, Jason driving, Chad in the passengers seat and the twins Tony and Andy in the back. With the addition of Aidan in the back it was a tight fit, but it wasn't anything unusual for them. They had fit more people than this into the car at one point. For homecoming they fit all five guys in the car along with three girls in their dresses.

"Where are we headed too?" Aidan's eyes flickered over their blank faces as Jason drove away. Chad made some half assed sarcastic remark to the question, while Jason told it to him straight, "A girl's house." Jason added a sly wink though the rear view mirror. Aidan and Chad were the only single ones out the group, but Chad was more into the whole hump and dump thing, so the group tended to put all their effort into finding Aidan a girlfriend. All their attempts were wasted seeing as he had been single since freshman year of high school. Girls always saw him as more of a shoulder to lean on than anything more.

As they made their way out of the city, Aidan began to no recognize more and more things. Where the hell were they going? When they car finally came to a halt in front of the large house, his mouth dropped. Houses weren't this big in his neighborhood, hell, the Walmart even this big in his neighborhood. Climbing out of the car he followed after the group of chatty boys.

Lake || Feeling: Relieved of Boredom

Lake could just jump for joy, and clack the heels of her feel in midair. She wondered how much fun they would have, like a small parter. From her room, Two Door Cinema Club was still blasting, and Ridiculousness on her TV was on low volume, but still just as funny. Wallaby barked wildly at the door, breaking her from her thoughts. She swung open the door, and she outstretched her leg as Wallaby almost pounced. "Oy!" She scolded the dog and he sprinted off into the kitchen, the dog was a dramatic, cowardly thing, but still very cuddly. She set her smooth leg down, and stood up straight, eyeing them all. She rolled her eyes and laughed. "What a b*tch, am I right?" She joked, and then stepped out of the way so they could head into the living room. She wasn't one for greetings, and couldn't simply say 'hi', or 'hey'. She always greeted her friends with an playful insult or a sarcastic one-liner that made sense with the situation they were having. Once they were inside, she closed the door, not bothering to lock it. Lake flopped onto the couch, and then rolled her eyes as the home telephone rang. She walked across the room, and picked it up. Lake sighed at it.

Lake picked up a remote, and then clicked it, the loud indie rock music in her room shutting off abruptly. She put the phone on speaker, motioning for them all to be quiet.
"Um, hi! Did you order sixty-nine pizzas?" The voice rang out. Lake smirked and laughed. "Yes! What's taking you so long?" She asked, and leaned back onto the small table the phone was set on. "Err, they're on their way." The prank callers answered a hesitantly. Her eyebrows tilted downwards. "Make it snappy, your mom's starving." Lake said and then slammed the phone on its base. The tomboy's hands ran down her face. "A**holes. They're frat dudes from three houses down." She clarified as she walked into the kitchen which was connected to the living room. She pulled out a bag of super spicy chips, and poured them into a big bowl. She sat on one of the chairs on the island while looking at them. She shoved some chips into her mouth, the crunch loud, but she kelt her mouth closed. As she looked at them all, one of them stood out over the rest. She forgot his name, she's only seen him in a few of her classes. Ashton? Aubrey? Is Aubrey even a dude's name? She thought.

The tomboy licked her lips, which felt like they were on fire. She cocked a brow, and chucked her chin upwards slightly, motioning for them to come and take some chips or some stuff from the kitchen if they wanted from the kitchen, since they were still gaping and staring around her house
. "Wanna go cliff diving?" She asked casually. There was a high hill nearby in the forest, and then a cliff went off onto it, and then a you could dive off of it into the deep part of the lake. Lake picked up some more chips, and then ate some more. It was weird, really. She could eat three buckets of spicy buffalo wings, four bags of spicy chips, drink one liter of soda and have a box of pizza, and not get fat, or sh*t flames for that matter. She stood to her feet, and kicked off her shoes. And pulled off her top, revealing a black bikini top. She really didn't care, plus she didn't have any shame. But, in no way, shape or form, was she a sl*t. "Yup, we're going cliff diving, come on." Lake said, and then walked down the hall, and went down the porch, then started to walk down her backyard. She turned, and saw they were following, and continued, going to the forest path.
