Answered I cant send Private Messages

I signed up in this site a month ago, but i wasn't able use it.
Finally, today i logged onto this site and started using.
But, there is a box above saying-

  • Create 1 message - We recommend you introduce yourself here for an easy way to meet this Criteria.
  • Set an avatar - This you can do from your profile settings.
  Once you meet this Criteria, this message will auto vanish. Note: It may take the site up to 15 minutes to realize you meet this Criteria.

I did all of them and waited for an hour and it still doesn't go, is this a common problem or is it only with my account.

You seem to have met all the criteria by now so it should disappear soon. Just give it a bit more time to update.
You can use the forums as normal even while the message is still there.
