The differences started in the chunin exams where sasuke was able to beat garra and shukaku
Leaving naruto and sasuke to have their battle in the chunin exams...and when orochimaru and sarutobi began their battle, naruto's nine tails chakra was able to break the barrier and orochimaru was defeated there.
Sasuke was captured as this happened
And orochimaru took his body.
However this was reversed by sarutobi and orochimaru was pushed into Kabuto and history resumed for a time.
Jiraya survived his encounter with pain...konaha was never destroyed...
The five kages who stood against madara were successful
Jiraya,tsunade,kakashi,guy,naruto, sasuke,Sakura & lee put an end to Kabuto
After sarutobi passed Jiraya was made hokage...who passed it to naruto when he passed 20 years later...
It has been fifty years since naruto became hokage, he is the last of his generation still alive, the villages are all still seperate entities and peace has persevered...
Until every village was simultaneously attacked! The enemies were swift and powerful ,utilizing jutsu styles never before seen. They claimed to be from the village hidden in the darkness and say that this world is theirs now. The villages push buck this assault but are demoralized it was only three enemies in each village and yet the damages were severe and the casualties heavy.
Except in konaha... Where three jonin were able to match the assailants one on one...no other village could do this...Those three were all from the same cell,trained by the late sasuke, the other villages have sent their best and brightest from their academies to train under these now legendary konaha jonin.
