Behind the scenes


Once I take off my mask


There is another that not yet has been seen.


No one knows it’s not really me


No one knows who i really am.


No one understands that I’m not what I seem.


Behind the scenes of the play I act in


There is yet another mask I ware,


An ever lasting play that runs my life


And brings me to my knees.


I cannot smile my smile for it is not my face


The mask that covers it can never be replaced.


Behind the scenes it means the world to me


That you never find out the true me.


I am scared and lost,


to hopeless to be taught.


To lost and afraid for it to break.


My mask is my life and so it shall stay.


Behind the scenes I really do care,


I want so badly to break these chains


To not be afraid of losing everything


To take off this mask


And show the world this real me.


But sadly I know not who i am.
