On immediate inspection, Ollie looks strung out and tired. This young man seems to be constantly moving, an impulsive personality put on immediate display by a grown-out mess of bleached blonde hair. It isn't rare to see a scuff, bruise or cut on his face, a result of a rather hot-headed personality and a sudden growth spurt that left him lanky, clumsy and awkward-looking. It's said, though, that he's the spitting image of his father, a former cabin counsellor of Camp Half-Blood and a son of Zeus.

He usually wears skate-wear; vintage sweatshirts, washed out jeans and Vans are the staples of his wardrobe. Due to the aforementioned growth spurt, a lot of these clothes hang peculiarly off of him.

Having grown up in a hot climate, returning to America has made his internal heating system go haywire. Because of this, it's rare to see him without a jacket. Namely, an old leather number passed down by his great uncle to his mother, and by his mother to him.

Personality
Paint ghosts over everything, the sadness of everything. We made ourselves cold. We made ourselves snow.

Ollie can appear unfriendly and uninterested at first. He fidgets constantly, always looking for an escape route, and doesn't seem that trustful of the people at Camp Half-Blood, nor the concept of it as a whole. He's been fed a lot of stories about this place, and none of them have made him feel at ease within its borders.

He looks like his father but he acts like his mother, flighty and fraught, snippy and suspicious of other people's intentions. He's been through a lot and it shows rather obviously; alongside all the teenage hormones at play in his body and a growing list of powers underneath his belt, he's becoming quite the fire-starter.

He'll fight anyone. He'll do anything. On his first day, he got in a shouting match with Dionysus over the actions of his parents and threw a can of Fanta over the god's shirt. This is not the behaviour of a predatory creature, no matter how ready to maim and kill he may seem; Ollie is scared. He doesn't know how to deal with it and he doesn't trust anyone to hold all his feelings for him. He has lost so much in such a small span of time that he can't fathom beginning to grow even a fondness for another human being without expecting them to disappear from his life entirely, without warning.

When he forms an attachment with another person, he loves them fiercely. He will protect them to the ends of the earth and sacrifice himself in the process of doing so if a situation calls for it; it's how love works, to him. Relationships with him run freezing cold or boiling hot, and in that sense, he can be easily led and manipulated after he's been won over.
Backstory
Boy, when I left you you were young, I was gone but not my love, you were clearly meant for more than a life lost in a war.

FAMILY HISTORY.

A couple of decades ago, Orin Gorman and Augusta Reynolds attended Camp Half-Blood, and they didn't talk to each other.

It wasn't that they didn't like each other, they just seemed to move in different circles. Orin was the effervescent son of Zeus with a wit as sharp as a knife's edge and a laugh that could be heard from miles away, and Augusta was the cutting, cold daughter of Hades who could maim with little more than a stare. People around them would never have put them together.

But one summer they encountered each other properly. An intense game of Capture the Flag led them to fight, and after a few death threats had been made they spoke, and they bonded, and it appeared that this pairing was written in the stars. They shared the deepest parts of their souls with one another, and swore over that summer that one day, they would run away from Camp Half-Blood and make a life as no-names on a tropical island in the middle of nowhere. Nothing could come close to them. Nothing could touch a bond like that. Not even death.

Orin died suddenly that same summer at Camp Half-Blood. He was eighteen years old. It was a brain haemorrhage; the same thing that had killed his uncle, and all of a sudden the loudmouthed son of Zeus was reduced to ash, dust and memory. Auggie, devastated, ran away from Long Island. She left everything behind.

Two years later, she was invited by post to an exclusive art exhibition in the centre of Manhattan named Journey to Oz. The invitation claimed that the artist was the tortured type, a madman who painted his dreams of hell.

Reluctantly, she attended. There, she laid eyes on the artist; a curly-haired man with empty eyes and an array of paintings depicting events she had lived through with her late partner in crime, depicting the childhood Orin had described to her, depicting the pits of Tartarus he had walked through to return to the land of the living.

He didn't remember. His entire life had been lost on his journey back to the overworld, but it didn't matter. A part of Orin's soul recognised the teary-eyed woman, and thus began an adventure for the ages. Slowly, with the help of a son of Thanatos they nicknamed Mac, he remembered the pieces of himself that he had cast to the side in his fight to return. They fought a titan together. They battled ghosts. They entered an empty dimension and crossed the lines of time. They cheated death. They chose life over and over again. They chose each other over and over again.

And then they retired, sick of all the running and the dying and the loss and the fear. They had two children: First Francesca, then Oliver, and this little family relocated to Fiji, where they'd always promised to end up.

OLLIE'S LIFE.

It would have been nice if it had ended there, but it didn't. Ollie grew up with his older sister, the both of them taught from the get-go about what they were, who they were, and how the world would treat them if they knew. They were taught to hone their powers early, not to suppress them until it was too late, and they were shown that heroism is a fool's game.

Ollie's parents disappeared when he was thirteen and his sister was fourteen. They said they had a job to do, and then they never came back.

At the same time, monsters began appearing on the shores of the beach they lived beside. Storms raged nightly. Ghosts came to his sister and warned her that something was coming, something terrible, and she had to get the two of them somewhere safe; it was then that the son of Thanatos who had befriended his parents, Uncle Mac, appeared to them with a look of sorrow.

Uncle Mac didn't much like the idea of taking them to Camp Half-Blood. He didn't share his reasons why. With the help of a little shadow travel, he brought them to a safe house in Manhattan, the same place Orin and Auggie had stayed during their young adulthood, run by another Camp Half-Blood alumnus who hoped to provide care to adult demigods that needed a haven. Then, Uncle Mac left to attend to his (rather secretive) responsibilities.

While there, Francesca decided to go out hunting for their parents. She could shadow travel. She could hold her own. Ollie could not. She saw her little brother as too young to tag along, too fragile to put in the line of fire. She promised that she would find them. She promised that she would come back.

Ollie spent eighteen months waiting at that house. Francesca did not come back. His parents did not come back. Uncle Mac did not come back.

When he turned fifteen, he decided he'd had enough of waiting around. He packed up his room at the safe house, said his goodbyes to the residents, left a note for his sisters and his parents and walked from Manhattan to Long Island. It took four days, but he made it to the border of Camp Half-Blood with only minor cuts and bruises, and as he passed through the line of mist he allowed himself to hope, for a second, that he would be greeted by the faces of his family, that this was all some terrible test of his will and drive that he had finally passed.

He did not find them. He passed out in the med bay for three days and locked himself away for another four. Broken, alone and terrified of the mere prospect of what happened to his sister and his parents, he became a shell of himself. He became cold and cutting and cruel, the spitting image of his mother at his age.

Ollie’s dad was a force of nature in all good ways. He was a beacon of power and independence, a man who walked through Tartarus, who lost everything including himself, and remained the funniest, most relaxed person Ollie thinks he’ll ever know. Sometimes, he feels bothered by the fact he looks like his dad, but can’t act like him. His father never raised his voice. He never raged the way that Ollie does. He’s always felt a little bit like he’s in his dad’s shadow.

Ollie often forgets there’s only a year between him and his sister, because she always seemed so much more assured than he ever was. He idolised her when they were kids for her immediate understanding and control over her powers, for her extroverted nature and her quick wit. She was her father’s daughter the way he is his mother’s son, and Ollie misses her more than words can do justice.

Ollie doesn’t know much about his Uncle Mac. He doesn’t even think he knows his real name. The man’s got a weird accent, a penchant for showing up unannounced, and a strange but deep relationship with his parents that Ollie can’t begin to understand. He does know, however, that his uncle is powerful. He’s a good man, he’s out there somewhere, and he’ll arrive when the moment comes and no sooner. Ollie hopes that moment’s soon. He sees his uncle in dreams sometimes. They don’t talk in these sleepy landscapes, but this serves as a reminder that Mac hasn’t left him quite yet. He’s not been entirely abandoned.

Powers
001. UMBRAKINESIS
Passed down from his mother, Ollie can manipulate shadows. He can make the darkness into a corporeal weapon, creating solid, snake-y arms or little soldiers that bite and hiss. He’s tried shadow travel a number of times, but has only been able to get a few hundred feet in any direction before he’s worn out. Ollie can, however, create a cloak of darkness to shield and hide from the view of other people.
002. AEROKINESIS
Ollie’s heard stories about his dad’s aerokinesis, but only from secondary sources. They say that Orin Gorman, when angered, could thieve the air from people’s lungs. Ollie never saw his dad angry and he certainly never saw such a thing occur, but he’s inherited aerokinetic abilities from his father that allow him to create small wind storms, air cushions for a soft landing from a high place, and once managed to hold himself about a metre off the ground.
Weapons
003. CARNWENNAN
Given to him by Uncle Mac before he left the safe house, Carnwennan is an ancient dagger rumoured to have been used by King Arthur, magically able to shroud its user in shadow and repurposed for the modern demigod age. On one side, the plate is celestial bronze. On the other, the plate is Stygian iron.
004. TARANIS
Given to him by his father’s sister Aisling, Taranis is an imperial gold broadsword disguised as a pocket knife. It can channel electricity through its plating, which would be great if Ollie had any control over lightning. It’s a good sword nevertheless.

Aldo is the perfect picture of what one would expect a Roman demigod to look like. A muscular build carries him through slow, graceful and intentional movement, his toned arms adorned with tattoos and his fingers dotted with golden rings. His head seems sculpted rather than formed by some biological accident; his sharp jawline, straight teeth and piercing eyes create an immediate aura of intimidation.

There doesn’t seem to be even a degree of self-consciousness about him; he looks people in the eye, unintimidated by most, and speaks his mind readily. There is a sense of certainty about him in all he does; it could be assumed that Aldo knows everything and is simply waiting for everybody else to catch up.

There is a red ink tattoo of an elk’s antler that starts at the base of his neck and travels up to settle around his right ear. This matches the tattoo of his twin sister, who has the same on the other side of her neck. A thin, nearly invisible scar cuts below his lip, and a larger, wiry one sits in the shadow of his left cheekbone.

Personality
The warmth of your hand and a cold grey sky, it fades to the distance; the image has gone, only you and I, it means nothing to me, this means nothing to me, oh, Vienna.

Aldous is a leader in all situations. He beckons with him a sense of security and a breadth of knowledge that make less cardinal personalities very likely to follow the path he treads. His pristine appearance and strong build can be rather threatening on first meeting; Aldo is, at a glance, a brutal soldier.

And then he talks, and all of that concern seems to drift away. Outside of the throes of battle, Aldous is a soft-spoken, intelligent young man with a warm aura and an outgoing personality. He talks openly about his life and experience, builds steadfast bonds quickly, and appears as a team player in all facets of his life. He is a leader; this can’t be understated, but he is a leader who assumes, and in turn elevates, the brilliance of others.

He notices small things about people, and seems to be most interested in those who are quiet and shy. He considers those kinds of people his own personal project, a study of his own ability to make other people into better soldiers.

In battle, he shifts entirely. The son of Janus’ other face comes out to play and Aldous becomes stoic, blunt and cold. A quick-thinker and and excellent problem solver, he truly shines when the enemy approaches. His learned manner and experience on the battlefield make him an incredibly ally and a formidable foe.

Backstory
A long, long time ago; I can still remember how that music used to make me smile; and I knew if I had my chance, I could make those people dance, and maybe they'd be happy for a while.

ALDO'S LIFE.

Aldous and his twin sister Eyre were born in the city of Copenhagen in the year 1932 to Anja Eccarius, a travelling author, archaeologist and historian who, at the time, was working on artefact identification with the Danish Glyptotek.

Anja was a hero. An impossible woman. Aside from being a doting single mother to twins, she was a genius, a master at every craft she set her mind to. Perhaps it was her dedication to history that drew the god Janus in the first place – perhaps it was just her brilliance.

As a result of their mother’s work, Eyre and Aldous ended up travelling a lot. Their childhood was spent in museums and on dig sites, with sharp professionals and strange scientists. This manner of life was suited to them. They engrossed themselves in the history of the world just as their mother did, raised to be fascinated by everything and everyone.

Anja’s work diverted in 1938. Her interest in bygone wars faded; she became more interested in putting truth to mythos. Her passion for finding items that seemingly only existed in legends and folktales accrued scorn, but she was undisturbed by the spiteful words of her critics, and spurred on by their skepticism, began a frantic hunt for something.

She never shared what she was looking for with her children. Slowly but surely they saw their mother begin to slip away from them to fall into an obsession with ancient coins, inaccurate maps and untranslated manuscripts from bygone eras. It didn’t matter – they had each other.

They ended up being cared for by their ‘aunt’ Celeste Artois, a daughter of Venus not bound to them by blood but by the friendship she held with their mother. She looked after them the best she could, but as Eyre began to babble about her dreams of dark skies, ruined streets and plumes of smoke, Celeste took this as a sign that the war looming on the horizon was not something to scoff at.

Celeste brought Aldous and Eyre to America. Namely, she dropped them at the Lotus Hotel and Casino with the promise that she would be back soon, one day, when everything was safe again.

Time passed as time does in the Lotus Hotel. It didn’t feel like a long time at all for Aldous and Eyre, though the latter noted that her visions of the future seemed to be changing hour by hour, Aldous’ began dreaming too. At first, these visions were of what he understood to be the present day, but then they would overlap with his sister’s. He would see what she had seen two hours before. Of course, they didn’t understand that time was speeding past them outside of the hotel, and so they wasted their time away in the hotel’s arcade and waited for Celeste to return to them.

She did not return to them. But their mother did.

Well, not their mother. She looked like their mother but she was not their mother, she was Venus, making good of the promise her daughter had made seventy years prior. Venus informed the twins that the world had changed and remained unsafe, but that there was no point in them wasting away in the hotel for any longer. They were escorted to the Wolf House where, alongside their training, they were told what had happened in between their entrance and exit of the time trap.

Celeste Artois became a spy for the Allies. They called her The Siren, a devastatingly beautiful young woman who led high-ranking Axis soldiers to their death. She was declared missing in action in February, 1945 – only three months before Germany surrendered.

Anja Eccarius died a year after Artois went missing. She was found surrounded by papers; esoteric writings about the location of the artifacts that would end this war once and for all. No cause of death was declared. She was swept under the rug, her legacy lost to the changing sands of time.

The twins trained their way through their grief. It was the white hot anger that drove them to great heights – these two children had lost everything. Their home, their mother, their aunt, their world, their time. They had little left to fight for and thus nothing to lose; when their training with Lupa was over, they were sent to Camp Jupiter to become the youngest residents of the second cohort at only eight years old.

The two have spent ten years as dedicated soldiers of Camp Jupiter. When the soldiers descended and threats were made, they made the decision to part ways – for Aldous, visionary of the past and master of door magic to lead the vulnerable to safety, and for Eyre, an idol of foresight, to look after the lines of their chosen home.

Eyre is a lot harsher than Aldo, but they have the kind of bond only twins can boast. Though their differences are many and arguments between them seem more or less constant, the love and care they hold for one another knows no bounds. Malcolm goes to a lot of effort to look genuine, down-to-earth and relatable to the people he encounters in his daily life. His tie seems permanently askew and one of his sleeves is rolled up just slightly higher than the other. One day, a button will be undone. Another, he’ll forget to tuck his shirt in on one side and look like he’s gotten dressed in a hurry.

This is all PR. In a world of cookie-cutter politicians wearing the same suit, the same tie and the same shoes, getting the same haircut every two weeks and using the same Gilette-brand razor on their face, Malcolm looks different. He looks approachable, a salt-of-the-earth man who cares more about his work than his appearance. His hair is fading to a mature grey, laughter and frown lines have carved their way into his face, and this, too, helps him appeal to people as a normal, upfront and honest guy.

But then you look into his eyes, those dead, flat trenches that don’t so much reflect light as they do absorb it, and the uncanny valley takes over. Once you’ve looked into Malcolm’s eyes, everything else falls away. The seams are revealed. The cracks become ravines. This is not a man. This can’t be a man. This is a creature of darkness wearing an ill-fitting suit.

You could shout about it, sure. You could talk about how unreal this mediocre-looking man is, how evil, how unnatural, how wrong he looks, but who would believe you? Who would take you seriously? That’s Malcolm Kingston. He’s the only honest man in politics. He’s just like us.

It would be a stretch to say that Malcolm knows everything about everyone, but it wouldn’t necessarily be incorrect.

Malcolm’s smart. Not intelligent, not clever, but smart in strategy and in the exertion of his effort. He knows what to do, when to do it, and who to do it to. He is totally capable of charm and charisma. He weaves language like a tapestries; there is nothing more important to Malcolm than the power of the word. He can get whatever he wants by plumping the right ego and spitting the right name, and he always knows the right route to go.

He’s manipulative and silver-tongued, which would be dangerous attributes of their own accord. These, mixed with the whispers of his self-professed ‘sponsor’ seem to take this to new levels. Because Malcolm Kingston doesn’t know everything about everyone – that’s just not true. No, Malcolm knows the cliff’s notes about everyone. He can see every cog that has turned to make the life of the person in front of him. He can see every pain, every moment of suffering, every secret, and that’s what’s important.

Politics isn’t about honesty, after all, it’s about the movement of secrets from one place to another. It’s about the whispering, and Malcolm is very good at whispering the right things to the right people.
Backstory
What a catalyst you turned out to be, loaded the guns then you run off home for your tea; left me standing like a naughty schoolboy

Malcolm was born in Ashy-de-la-Zouch in 1977 to a policeman father, a nurse mother and an older brother named Frederick. An unexceptional child, he failed the exam to get into a grammar school and ended up in the vast machine of the comprehensive system, destined to become a footnote of history.

It wasn’t that he didn’t work hard. He did. There was just nothing that special about him. The history of Kingston is undocumented not for its elusiveness, but for its dry and dull nature. He went to university. He met a girl. He fell in love with her and had a daughter, taking on three jobs to keep his family afloat. He bought a little starter house when little starter houses were possible to achieve on a low salary, then climbed the ranks of the police force to become a detective in an area where the biggest criminal incidents were sweet-toothed teenage shoplifting gangs.

While his brother got rich and his parents aged, Malcolm lived a normal, perfectly acceptable life. He doted on wife Alison and spoiled daughter Eva, bonded with the fellow officers in his station, and made a name for himself as a reliable, friendly man.

The millennium turned without much of a hitch. On the back of a promised promotion, Malcolm was sent to shadow the work of another station in a different city, and while he was there, Alison decided to take Eva on an impromptu, sunshine inspired visit to the coastal town of Aberystwyth. They took the train.

Nobody’s really certain what caused that train (the twelve-past-two Arrive Trains Wales service from Birmingham to Aberystwyth, to be exact) to derail because nobody on it survived. In the space between one minute and the next, Malcolm went from being the dull but ultimately happy family man to the grieving father and the widower.

What happened next was murky. He sort of fell off the face of the earth. It was to be expected. A loss like that is disabling. It could have driven him into madness or worse. The days passed. The newspaper headlines faded into obscurity. The people of Britain remembered the loss, but faltered on the details. Conspiracies flew around. Accusations were made.

Then, at the inquest, Malcolm Kingston arrived to provide evidence. A sort of victim statement to the British public and the leaders of transport. He spoke an audience of people to tears, and by the time he was halfway through it became clear to the men in their high castles that this particular man was not going anywhere anytime soon.

Something had shifted in Kingston. He was not the man consigned to shadows that the tabloids described, he was something else. There was a power in him that electrified every room that he walked into. People listened to him on tenterhooks, and it seemed that no matter what he said, they agreed. Of course, it was no surprise that when he ran to become a member of Parliament with the promise to hold the government to account for all of their missteps in the transfer of public ownership to private negligence, he won by a landslide.

And in government, he flew through the ranks. Transport Minister. Home secretary. Finance minister. Health and Social Care. Equalities. He burned through every role and kept an astonishingly clean slate; everybody around him, however, seemed to face a slurry of negative press brought on by leaks, revelations and sneaky photographs. Kingston became the only face not stained with soot. He would go far. He would shine. He would –

Resign.

At the peak of his career, Kingston resigned. He cited personal reasons. The press projected the grief he hadn’t dealt with onto this vague statement and slowly, surely, he faded into obscurity once again. He was commended, of course, by a few pundits in the field – you don’t see people resign without disgrace anymore. He must have believed that he had finished what he had come to do.

Or he hadn’t.

Or he had something bigger planned, like a favour to return.

Ha-Joon Jeong was not ready for the daunting task of raising a second child, especially not one left on his doorstep without warning. He could never have imagined that a one-night stand with a beautiful woman he met over nine months ago would result in his future being knocked out of orbit. His wife was not happy in the slightest upon finding out about her husbands infidelity and though they remained together for the sake of the child that they already had together, their relationship never recovered. Her ire at the situation was immediately directed towards Yumi and as she grew up, she never let the child forget that she wasn't wanted or needed in their family.

Yumi's step-mother has never tried to hide her disdain for Yumi. Even though she was merely a result of her husband's cheating, Hana always blamed Yumi for the wedge that was driven into her marriage. This resulted in Yumi feeling like an outcast in her own home.

Yumi inherited the ability of plant manipulation and plant empathy from her mother. Plant Manipulation: Yumi can shape and manipulate plants; including wood, vines, plants, moss, and parts of the plants, such as leaves, seeds, roots, fruits and flowers. By channeling her energy, Yumi is able to grow any type of plant from a seed so long as soil is present. However, the bigger the type of plant, the more energy she has to pour into it. Over-use of this ability can lead to headaches, nosebleeds, and fainting. Plant Empathy: By extending her consciousness outward, Yumi is able to connect with the essence inside of plants, which allows her to be able to communicate with them and allow her to able to sense their well-being and understand what they are saying. Yumi must be physically touching the plants she is trying to communicate with and communicating with too many plants at once can cause headaches.

Yumi's weapon consists of a set of throwing knives. The weapons transformed state is a rose charm bracelet that she wears around her right wrist. Although Vivienne specializes in mysterious, and dark types of magic, she definitely doesn't act like it, quite the opposite really. She's a vibrant bundle of energy, always optimistic trying to find the bright side of even the most horrible things, and is the type of person to wake up early to be productive, and for some reason she ALWAYS has energy no matter the time of day. Vivienne is very friendly, and warm, even to newcomers, and welcomes the thought of having more friends, and tries her best to include everyone in everything she does, and feels horrible when she can’t.

She’s the one to suggest going out, host a party, or the first to bust a move on the dance floor, she definitely doesn’t give a shit about what others think about her. Very curious of the world around her, and asks a million questions about anything that catches her eye even in the slightest, though others have found this quite annoying, but Vivienne of course is oblivious to this, and is quite oblivious in general, especially in terms of romantic advances. Vivienne can be quite motherly when she wants to be, nagging others around her, wanting to know what they’re up to, or if they’ve eaten. Despite her outgoing, friendly demeanor she can be quite forgetful and scatterbrained, forgetting small details or losing track of time. Backstory

A MEETING OF MORTAL AND DIVINE
Matthew Harper was just a busboy for the local diner near his small apartment in New York, trying to make money just to make ends meet to pay his rent. He lived a fairly simple life, the same schedule he’s had for years, the same old cycle of eat, sleep and work. Though, one evening had been a little too rough, he hadn’t gotten any sleep stressed over the upcoming payment that was due, and he hadn’t been able to eat much either. He had gotten up begrudgingly to go to work, and had come across a woman he’s never seen before in the lobby of his apartment building. Recognizing who she was didn’t matter to him, because he was definitely entranced by her. She caught his eye and smiled, and he knew it was over for him. Was it stupid to believe in love at first sight? Probably.

The two had gotten to know each other since the encounter, eventually forming a romantic relationship, though it hadn’t lasted long, the woman leaving as soon as she had come, seemingly as if she had vanished. Matthew of course was heartbroken, but he couldn’t really do anything to change the outcome. He went back to the same cycle as before, and as he came back from work ready to just collapse in his old creaky bed, he had found an infant lying right in the center of his bed. Alarmed, and in a state of panic he had grabbed the child and was getting ready to run to the nearest hospital. Though, he noticed a note, the paper looking as if it was glowing in the darkness of his bedroom. It was addressed to him explaining what had happened, Matthew had thought this was all a stupid prank. But as days had passed, and he’d seen multiple doctors, it was confirmed to be his daughter. Matthew at the time was confused, worried, and not ready to be a father. But he didn’t have it in him to leave the young girl alone, so he raised her all by himself.

MAGIC CALLING
As she grew older, Vivienne's connection to the world of gods only deepened. She noticed things a mortal should never see or should never be able to do. Her ability to cast spells did not go unnoticed, and as the daughter of Hecate, goddess of magic, her presence drew the attention of monsters and creatures from the depths of the underworld, drawn to her like moths to a flame. For the next couple of years, she lived in constant fear, always looking over her shoulder, never knowing when the next attack would come.

It wasn't until her twelfth birthday that Vivienne's world was turned completely upside down. It had been a beautiful spring morning, a morning that was supposed to be filled with festivities with her father and his girlfriend, yet she found herself ambushed by a fearsome monster, its monstrous form twisting and contorting in the shadows. Vivienne had fended herself to the best of her abilities, getting many injuries, but none too life-threatening. She had sobbed, she never wanted to hurt anyone even if they were trying to kill her, her father had found her in the aftermath of the attack, him screaming in worry on the verge of tears, and after she had been healed he told her of her heritage, and who her mother was. This had caused Vivienne long to go to Camp Half-blood, to meet her mother, to be with others like her. Her father, though hesitant, knew it was time for her to finally embrace her demigod side, especially since it was too dangerous for her to live with him. He had traveled with her, but left her on her own as soon as they had gotten closer to their destination. Vivienne understood why he had to leave, but that didn’t help quell her fears of being all by herself. As she came to the border of the camp, she had been welcomed with warmth, Vivienne had been on the brink of passing out from exhaustion and not being able to eat, but she couldn’t help but smile, overjoyed to be in her new home, though she knew she’d miss her father.

Most spells are similar to that of other magic used by other demigods within the camp, though is much weaker compared to those who specialize in that specific type of magic, and the user must know the incantation of specific spell, or else it will fail, excessive use of magic can cause dizziness, weakness, or loss of power all together if used to the limit.

Mist Control - Vivienne isn't as experienced with this power, however is excerting a lot of effort in figuring out how to master it. With this power she's able to control and manipulate the mist, able to hide people, beings or even objects, and can even cause illusions, and can influence the minds/memories of those affected by it.

Vivienne isn't too on board with the whole combat thing that's more for the others in the camp, and isn't exactly comfortable carrying around weapons, though she does wear a necklace, with a cute star shaped charm that helps amplify her magic a slight bit, though it causes her to fatigue, and lose energy a slight bit faster.

The glorified sounding board of the camp, Alsany is a semi legendary figure around camp, known for being one of the only people so far to survive so long wthout the intervention of her godly parent. She's a people pleaser through and through, and her patience is legendary, thinking things through is her thing. Unfortunately, that patience can often be, and is often seen, as either cowardice, indifference, or, on the very rare occasion, both. It's quite common, and she's learned to let those comments go over time.

However, the comments that most hit her are the ones that remind her of her godly parent's abandonment. She has severe issues with codependency, abandonment, and being overlooked, due to being almost the youngest of eight children with parents that stopped caring after the first four. She constantly puts herself in dangerous situations, much to her deficit, and while she's patient with others, she's not always patient with herself.

Alsany Weaver was born on a cold January 28th, an Aquarius, to parents she would rather not have named. The seventh of eight children, her parents mostly ignored her and her siblings, allowing her older siblings to basically raise the younger ones. Alsany consistently had to fight for her parents' affections and attention, but she was rare to succeed in gaining their attention, if ever. Unfortunately, her siblings were also too involved with themselves to even think about her, thus leaving her to her own devices. She used that time to get better grades, working to be better than her other siblings.

However, when she was thirteen, everything changed.

She had gone to the library one day and was attacked by a centaur. She attempted to get away, but the centaur nearly managed to kill her until a satyr managed to scare it off. It immediately told her she was a demigod, and that she needed to go and grab some clothes and meet him in the woods. The rest was history, and she's basically been living at the camp ever since. Her godly parent, however, was a different story. Much like her bio parents (since she doesn't know which one is her real parent), her godly parent has refused to claim her. She refuses to give up, however, and is continuing to push herself for a chance to be claimed by her parent.

PERSONA

strae is, to put it simply, the product of her upbringing. she has a noted lack of experience interacting with others her age, with any moments of charisma or charm feeling almost scripted. strae’s seemingly aloof nature tends to put others off when they meet her for the first time; a genuine smile is hard to crack from her. but strae isn’t heartless, and though it takes some time, she does open up around those she trusts.

though strae isn’t outwardly competitive, she isn’t one to lay back and admit defeat, either. she knows her worth- and though she might not be considered an especially strong or noteworthy demigod, she’s determined to make her mark. she’s incredibly proficient in her skillset, and isn’t afraid to put those skills to use.

strae feels somewhat of a block between her and other demigods. not only is she so much older than most other demigods (though she doesn’t feel it), but she was also raised by her godly parent, contrary to most other demigods. for this reason, strae is somewhat hard to coax into sharing details of her past, especially in regards to her time with the hunters.

HISTORY

entry one.
I don’t really know how to start this. The first sentence is always the hardest, i suppose. Once i ink it, it’s there, unchanging, a testament to where i am at this very moment in time. Though, honestly, where else would i be? Still the island. Always the island.

Mother gave me this journal to document my progress in my study of sorcery. I believe I’ll use this for more than just that, though. By all accounts, Aeaea is a paradise, but it still isn’t that large. Time works differently here, and though I don’t know if I’ve been alive for years or decades, I do know I’ve explored every nook and cranny this island has to offer. Quite frankly, I’m bored. Mother is far too aloof to hold a regular conversation. Father, of course, is gone, and while i could talk to my twin, tell, he doesn’t listen nearly as well as a piece of paper. So, rather than be alone with my thoughts, I’ll let them out here.

entry two.
Each day that passes, the island becomes more cramped, more stifling. Me and tell both feel it- we stay up late at night, lamenting Mother’s iron fist and talking about what we’d do if we ever got to experience the world outside of the island. I dream of doing something with my intelligence beyond spellcraft, maybe some kind of royal advisor to my father, to a kingdom i'd never set foot in. tell wants to go to war- a sorcerer he’s not, but nobody could outmatch him with a spear, that i’m sure of. he wants to show he’s worthy- i suppose we both have something to prove.

but, of course, that would never happen. our mother keeps us trapped, prisoners in our own homeland, eternal teenagers, never aging, never leaving. we’ve joked now and then, about escaping the island. but the way he talks about it sometimes… it almost feels like he’s not joking.

entry three.
tell did it. he escaped. he left a note. he said… he said he was sorry. that he wishes there was another way. but he didn’t have a life here. mother, the island, none of it was him. he was going to look for father. he didn’t know if he’d ever come back. but he knows i’ll grow to be a strong sorceress, just like mother.

my heart feels as though it’s been shredded. i don’t know whether to hate him or wish him well. he left- without me. he thinks i'll be happy here- he should've known i wasn't. he's my twin, how could he do this? i feel so stupid, i should've seen this coming, i should've said something, i should've... i should've left too.

mother is furious. there's no chance i can escape now, not with the wards and barriers she's put up. even the mortals on the island sense it. tell doesn't know it, but in freeing himself, he's doomed me.

entry four.
nothing's changed since tell left- except everything's changed. if mother could rarely be pleased before, now she's impossible to satisfy. every day, she pushes me, more and more until i feel like i'm about to break. i'm becoming stronger every day, my magic growing, but at what cost?

the mortal visitors, the other minor sorceresses, even the nymphs that helped raise me know better than to try and confront me. the island isn't the only thing that's different now. i know i've changed- just not to what extent.

entry five.
a message washed up on shore today. It was meant for mother. i found it. i know it will never reach her.

it’s the first message he’s sent in over a year. why did it have to be about this? how could it have been this? he said he was trying to find father, not…

he said it was an accident. that he thought he’d landed on corfu, not ithaca. that he hadn’t seen father since he was a year old, so how was he supposed to recognize him? but by the time he threw his spear… it was too late.

i couldn’t bear to read any further before throwing the note in the sea. telegonus left, and then he killed father. was that his plan this entire time? was that why we didn’t go together?

i don’t know what to think. but i do know if i see telegonus again… i will kill him.

entry six.
i have so much to write, i don't know where to start. everything's changed- in the span of a day, my life has been turned upside down.

the biggest change? i'm not writing this from aeaea. no, right now i'm in the middle of the woods somewhere known as 'washington', surrounded by girls that look like they could be my age, though they could be thousands of years my senior, as well as one unsettling goddess.

i should perhaps start at the beginning. it was a demigod- it wasn't uncommon to get those on the island every now and again, either seeking out my mother and the 'spa' she'd started sometime back, or washing ashore while trying to cross the sea of monsters. but this... it was different. i don't know all of what happened, or how, but they released some of mother's captives, those that washed ashore and were unpleasant enough that mother ensured they wouldn't leave. all of a sudden, we had dozens- hundreds of angry pirates, soldiers, what have you storming the island. even the monsters that appeared once in a blue moon that my mother just transformed into something harmless, they all transformed back at once. me and mother, we're powerful, but even we were taken aback. it was too much. the island was getting stormed and... well, i won't lie- i thought i was going to die.

i still remember hearing the shriek of the silver whistle pierce the air, and the volley of arrows that followed. two dozen girls i didn't recognize, helmed by the youngest, who seemed to be glowing- literally. it was over within minutes, and i still didn't know what had happened. i remember seeing mother argue with the small girl, then storm off. one of the girls, whose name i now know is cara, had approached me, asking if i was okay. she'd told me about the hunters of artemis, how a former huntress who had gone on leave here had called them for help when the siege started.

but then, she mused that i wasn't too old, that being on an island all my life i wouldn't be attached to any men. she said that she saw me being on the island wasn't making me happy, that i was trapped.

she asked me to become a huntress.

that's when the young girl, artemis herself, approached us. i don't know what possessed her to affirm what cara had asked- i can still feel the disdain radiating off her. still, i was taken aback. as if my day wasn't chaotic enough already. but they were leaving soon, and i'd have to make my choice right then.

leave the island. have my own life. find tell. not get to say goodbye to mother.

i think i've made it clear the choice i made. i can only hope it was the right one.

entry seven.
i've only been with the hunters a month, and it's already been made more than clear that i'm not one of them.

i can tell artemis doesn't like me. perhaps it's my mother- they didn't exactly depart on what looked like good terms, and from what i've learned about artemis, she doesn't seem to like women who purposefully lure in men. perhaps it's because i challenged her on keeping kataídion, my dagger, the last thing i have from aeaea. perhaps she just sees me as too different.

i feel the other hunters are starting to share the same opinion of me. i'm not exactly as social as the rest them- blame my upbringing, i suppose. and though some of them are also demigods, with abilities like me, they seem wary around my magic. they look at me like i'm some sort of timebomb, and it's only a matter of time before i go off.

but what they think of me is of no matter. i'm free- finally. sure, i still have to bend to artemis's whims and follow along with the hunt, but i'm finally getting to see the world. i don't have to spend my days pacing the same halls anymore, hoping something will be different. i'm not confined to a single beach and tropic woods- i've explored the frigid canadian wilderness, midwestern deserts, everglade swamplands. it's nothing like i've ever experienced before, and it's incredible.

but being out here, finally free... it reminds me of tell. i don't know how much time, within the mortal world, at least, has passed since he left the island. he could've been gone for just a few months, or for decades, and i'd never know. i don't want to hold out hope that i'll find him again- i know it's only going to hurt me in the long run. but damn, if i can't help it.

entry eight.
it's been nine months now with the hunt, and things have been the same. mostly. i've gotten more used to holding back with my abilities, blend with the others. artemis still hates me, but the other hunters warmed up to me at some point, and now it almost feels like i'm one of them. i've gotten good with a bow, and i've even taken down the odd monster or two. it's a good feeling, knowing i'm doing something more than the same thing i'd been doing for the past however many years.

today, artemis announced we're going on a... different kind of hunt. someone had been killing her sacred hind, and we're going to track down the culprit.

i don't know why i have the worst feeling about this. i should be shrugging it off, chalking it up to nerves, but for whatever reason, i just can't.

part of me is glad my magic doesn't extent into precognition, because i don't think i want to know what's coming next.

entry nine.
excuse me if my writing is a bit shaky in this entry. i'm still recovering from what has happened in the past twenty-four hours. i doubt i'll ever fully recover.

well, we found our culprit. we travelled halfway across north america trying to track the hunter- we found they'd been spearing the deer from afar, taking their gilded antlers and then sacrificing the rest of the animal. it took months to pin them down, but we did. we always did.

i remember when artemis told us to comb the forest to look for the killer. i had my bow drawn, the thoughts in my head selfish- maybe if i take this guy down, she won't hate me so damn much. i suppose i'll never know if that would've been the case, now.

i remember hearing a twig snap. fatal mistake. my arrow was knocked, taught, ready to fire as i approached the hunter...

and then he turned around.

it was tell. oh, my god, it was him.

it felt like an eternity of us standing there, just staring at each other. he looked maybe a year or two older, but otherwise... it was definitely him.

my bow had clattered to the ground. i felt like saying... something. anything. i should've said something. i can't believe...

but then i heard the sound of an arrow being knocked, a bowstring being drawn. i knew, whoever was aiming that arrow, it would've been pointed directly at tell's heart.

mother always told me how... indelicate one of my inherited abilities was. how it wasn't right for a powerful sorceress to use, when i had such an array of more appropriate tools at my disposal.

i didn't care. mother wasn't there.

i remember leaping, and suddenly, not being me. i don't know what form i took at the moment- i can only assume wolf, but it doesn't matter now. i remember claws, teeth, clamping down on the girl's leg until her piercing scream cut through the forest. all i could think was, they're not getting my brother. i'm not losing him, not again.

by the time artemis and the other hunters had come to the girl's- cara's- aid, i'd transformed back. and when i turned around, tell was gone.

it's for the best. if he'd stayed...

the silver fire in artemis's eyes was like nothing i'd ever seen before. i'd done something unspeakable- i'd not only put a criminal, a male, above the mission, but i'd deliberately hurt another huntress. my first friend. the one who'd gave me my freedom.

but i had to stay one step ahead. always one step ahead.

in front of the entire hunt, i renounced my vows. i left the hunt. i was now- i am now- for all intents and purposes, a mortal.

it was the only thing that protected me, i think. either that, or artemis's pure disbelief at my audacity. i knew enough about godly affairs that they couldn't directly interfere with demigods, which helped me in not getting smote where i stood. it gave me enough time, at least, to run. run, until i knew- or rather, hoped- they couldn't find me.

that's where i am now. the middle of an unfamiliar woods, having terribly offended a goddess, leaving behind all my friends and... and my twin brother. the brother i thought was dead. i guess he's not.

i'd do it all over again, if it meant he stayed that way.

entry ten.
it was only a week or so in the forest before i was found. i'd been foraging, hunting now and then to sustain myself, bathing in a nearby creek and using spells in-between to freshen up. it wasn't dissimilar to what i'd been doing with the hunters, though now i was also exposed to the elements.

i had been taking a rest in a large oak tree when i noticed them. it was a trio of teens around my age, wearing offensively bright orange t-shirts. i couldn't make out the text from where i was resting, but i could take an educated guess. i'd learnt what camp half-blood was.

at some point, they noticed me. funny, they thought i was a monster at first. when i introduced myself as another demigod and former huntress, they weren't haste to believe me. but one of them- satyr, i assume- told the other two that i didn't smell like monster, that maybe i was telling the truth. they still seemed hesitant, but they relented.

it's almost comical how close i was to camp. maybe the fates had sent me here. or maybe i'm just stupid and lucky. either way, me passing through the barrier seemed to have been proof enough for the campers that had found me that i was not a monster. when i arrived at the aptly-named 'big house', the camp director, a centaur who'd introduced himself as chiron, seemed relieved that he didn't have to give a rundown of the whole 'demigod' thing to me. when i told him how i wouldn't be getting claimed- i knew full well who my godly parent was- he gave me the option to stay in the hecate cabin. i took it- i suppose there was no reason not to. no matter what i do, i know i'm still going to be an outsider in some way.

at least here, i'm free to practice my magic. in fact, it's encouraged. the campers have been nice enough so far- i've had my first real shower in too long, and now i have a fresh set of clothes, too.

i want to like it here. i really do. so i'll elect to ignore the bad feeling in my gut, and act like everything's fine.

strae's never minded the fact that her mother was a goddess. she was one of the campers who'd spent the longest with her godly parent, though not unlike the campers who'd never met their godly parents, she still wound up resenting her. horseshoe theory, and whatnot. strae hasn't attempted to return to aeaea since she left, though she's thought about it on many occasions. still though, no matter how much strae misses the mother she wants to have, she knows she'll inevitably be pulled back under her spell.

most of the world sees him as a hero of myth and legend, protege of athena and king of ithaca. strae? she just sees him as the dad who left. funny, how it was her mortal parent who ended up leaving. she can hardly blame him, though- she could barely stand the years she spent with her mother before leaving. she’d never admit it, but she loves re-reading the iliad and odyssey, recounting adventures that he never got to share himself.

not many people can say that they've garnered a grudge from the goddess of the hunt, and it isn't something strae necessarily holds with pride. though their areas of work sometimes overlap, strae takes great care to avoid the hunters, and she'd be quite happy if she didn't have to see them ever again.

weapons

though she's proficient with bows and other projectiles, strae prefers close-combat with her dagger. this dagger, named 'kataídion', or spellbinder, is one of the only things she still has from aeaea. the blade is carved with glowing channels, connected to an amethyst pommel that can be removed and filled with different potions, imbuing the dagger with any variety of effects.

abilities

potioncraft - strae is extremely proficient with crafting potions and elixirs, from those that heal and strengthen to those that poison and harm. of course, like her mother is famously known for, strae is most adept in craft potions that include some element of transfiguration. strae is also adept in identifying magical plants and their usage.

mystiokinesis - strae's a natural sorceress, and through her training has become quite a powerful force. her magic mostly manifests itself as swirling purple energy, which can solidify into chains, arrows, or an array of other items. she can also harness her magic as pyromancy, casting indigo flames that can mildly burn and disorient adversaries, as well as use ancient greek incantations to further specify and boost her magic.

shapeshifting - seemingly an inherited side effect of her mother's most commonly produced potions, strae is able to shapeshift into any living creature, though this excludes other humanoids and monsters. the farther from human the animal is- anything extremely large or small, or non-mammalian- the faster strae tires when in that form. however, strae has only ever really used this power subconsciously- her mother had drilled it into her head that such an ability was beneath a sorceress, that transfiguration was a punishment and not a tool, and strae has taken that to heart.

Mercedes is a carefree individual who doesn't take life too seriously. She likes to go with the flow, without any concrete plans for the future, but she has the confidence that she'll be just fine. She's outgoing, and the type of person to make friends wherever she goes, liking to strike up a chat with just about anyone. An introvert's worst nightmare. She's very persuasive, quick-witted, and has a way with words, she probes people relentlessly until they come out of their shells. An easy person to confide in really, and despite her overall talkativeness, if you want to share a secret with her she'll keep her lips closed. She's very big on trust, and believes it's a key component in maintaining relationships. Teasing and banter are her main methods of communicating once you get a bit closer to her, you should never take anything she says seriously, as nothing ever is unless you're having a heartfelt conversation with her. from afar, she may look docile when she's by herself, doing her own thing. but talking to her is a challenge. her problem with other people is they exist within the same plane of being as herself. she cannot stand silence, especially when it's shared with another person. her body is always on high alert, and she's always expecting others to hurt her in some way sooner or later, physically or otherwise.

like a street cat that's been kicked by humans and left alone to fend for itself in the wild, facing harsh weather with no shoulder to find solace in, she became prickly and cynical. she learned to be defensive first and deduce the situation later, scratching and hissing at any hand that reach down to her. the first words to people she just met would not be a greeting, rather a rude "What?" or "What are you looking at?" or "What do you want?" when she could spare you more than one word.

noriko rarely shows that she cares about anything, so she might be seen as apathetic by the masses. the only emotion she's comfortable with displaying is anger, really, since it's the only emotion she's let herself fully feel for a long time now. her body could only take so much, so her mind pays the price, making her memory unreliable, only remembering what moments made her feel like, while the actual event might be a blur, mixed with her own mutated recalling of them.

nori tends to mind her own business, unless it's about certain topics. she would become overly protective of anyone who's shared her fate, be it grief or the other thing. she's strongly opinionated to the latter, to say the least.

being her friend is almost impossible. but say one managed to break her neverending walls of defenses, she's actually pretty gentle, sentimental, and highly loyal. she would defend you with a life, she would do anything you ask her to. she'd look visibly at ease, finally, all muscles relaxing. she'd speak whatever's on her mind, and after a while, might open up about what made her this way.

sometimes she plays nice and charming, it’s usually for manipulation purposes. the first few times she did it to other people, they taught she’s finally healing, but eventually they figure it’s just part of who she is, showing sometimes. but people like hope, so they cling to it, hoping that sweet girl is actually who she is under all that anger, so much so they don't even realize they're blinded by her manipulations. of course, she can only do this to a person many a time.

though now she seems to be showing actual signs of healing, and is able to recognize that she was so angry all the time because of the constant hurt she felt, with no one to help her process through all of it. the process is slow, and will be an on-going battle. still, letting go of the habit of always assuming the worst of people and act accordingly and wait to be proven right is difficult. and of course, relapses are easy, anger's been her only line of defense for so long. but she wants to get better, and she knows she deserves to be properly cared for, not demanded of.

virtues:

empathetic— having been through a lot, Noriko can place herself in the shoes of many. Being a legacy of Aphrodite, she's somewhat more susceptible to people's moods and feelings, too. Often times, that only resulted in her to tip-toeing around the adults in her life.
independent— rarely having anyone to depend on, Noriko grew to be an extremely independent kid. She would never ask anyone for help, be it for the smallest things or the major ones. At this point, she's accepted she will die on a fight, bleeding out alone, and she still wouldn't scream for aid. she's self-assured, and trusts no one but herself to get shit done.
resourceful— she's thrifty, she's crafty. lucky for her, she could make a weapon out of just about anything.

foul-mouthed— since her parents' passing, being quiet has never done her any good, so she learned to be loud and improper instead. she's mostly witty about it, but it could turn into just dropping all the curse words she knows. she's always been naturally dramatic anyway.

the first few months were chaos for little noriko. moving to a different country, experiencing culture shock for the first time, living with two elderlies, one who practically hated her with all her being. she could feel it, seething from her grandmother's skin and seeped into hers. her grandfather ignored her entirely, acting like she doesn't exist. she understood why, as could taste his grief. there was so much of it. so overwhelming, she almost forgot about her own.

every day she walks home from school, going home to a house that doesn't even have her name on it. her classmates and neighbors were always asking why her name is different from her family, and eventually rumors started to spread. she had tried to ask for them to help her change it to Izawa multiple times, but it always fell on deaf ears. when they answered, it was just the empty promise of "later", or worse, "it's too much of a hassle". noriko was smart. she could read between the lines. she was too much of a hassle. so, she stopped asking, and continued barely existing.

making good use of her limited powers, she'd tried to make them love her. it didn't seem to have an effect on her grandpa, but her grandma would cook for her, cut up fruit for her, brush and braid her hair. of course, it only lasted a couple hours. and most times, the rewards wasn't worth the punishment, and after it caused one big fight, her grandma throwing a fit, breaking things, cursing at her, screaming at how she's just like Alice, that she was never her daughter, and how nori was exactly like her mom, who were just a stray she's forced to take care of. she stopped using her powers while at the house after that.

always homesick for her deceased mother, the only time she ever felt remotely welcomed was every summer, when she got to return to camp. where she could almost feel as if she's still alive and still in camp somewhere, or was off on a quest, and after, she'd bring her little tokens as simple as a pretty pebble she saw on the ground.

as the girl grew older, she started noticing a new feeling coming from her peers and those from generations above her. she'd thought anger and hatred were the most vile feelings. well, she was wrong. now the bad feelings followed her every where she went.

her first response was to became even more of a ghost. making her presence barely noticable was proven difficult, but she was trying. her efforts were futile; it was in her blood, as diluted as it was, to attract.

the worst of the worst happened.

of course, she's felt anger before. but it's always dwindled down, and it was way, way less. never rage.

that was the start of her blackouts.

when she woke up in the emergency room, she was in a hospital gown, and she could feel dried blood matting her hair, on parts of her skin. she was scratching them off, pulling the strands off, she needed them gone. each flake of skin and strand of hair brought relief- but a nurse came in her room and put a stop to her activity. although she was nice, careful to handle her with the utmost care. still, noriko could feel her sadness and pity. another taste she hated.

that very same night, she was released, since they've done the necessary tests, and there was nothing more they could do but wait and hope for the best.
her grandpa picked her up from the hospital.

the walk home was... awkward. they didn't leave in the busy part of town and it was almost midnight, so they had to take a taxi home. nori filled the silence with the sound of her scratching. she saw it was clean, but there were so many crevices on her, exposed on a daily basis. she never noticed that before. her hair also felt heavy, as if the dried blood added a ton of weight on her scalp. she wanted them gone. the hospital bracelet still on her hand. so many things were wrong. why is the ride home this long?

an eternity passed, the house was dark. before she had the chance to ran to her room, to initiate her plan to run away, she was stopped with a grunt. taken aback, she froze, and sat down where he gestured with his chin. he brought scissors to her, and she held her hand out. she remember thinking how nice the simple gesture was, of course he saw the bald patches on her head now, and may be he was offering a painless alternative. but he just wordlessly cut the hospital bracelet off her, and went back away.

but he was not done, as she heard another familiar cue to stay, so she did. he went to their storage room, and came back with a dusty box. curiousity got the best of her, and she peeked inside when he opened it. it was filled with military memorabilia, uniforms and what not. from it, he unearthed a baton. he took her hand and placed it there. it was the closest thing she felt to love under the roof she's lived in for the past six years.

after the house quited down, and every other light was turned off, nori started packing her essentials on a single bag, along with some money she saved for emergencies. she left a note on her desk, saying her thanks, and she's leaving to chb. he would know what it stands for. he'd sent his daughter there a lifetime ago.

But when one arrived on their doorstep, she learned how Alice came to be. He adored her as much as a stoic father could, but there was no love lost between his wife and daughter. Nori reminds them too much of their dead granddaughter, with none of her gentleness. Her grandmother hated her, just as she did her step-daughter.

Beauty— Noriko is able to manipulate makeup and perfume instantly, changing it to her heart's desire, or those of others, and it can stay that way for a maximum of 24 hours. Her skin seems to regenerate at a pretty fast rate, leaving her skin free of scars. It still hurts though, as it just fixes the outer visible.
Emotions— She could sense other people's mood, feelings, and emotions, and is able to influence them (mostly love and hate) though not strongly and only for a short period of time.
Anger empowerment— When enraged, Noriko have enhanced strength, agility, swiftness, and durability. It doesn't last long before she blacks out.
Weapon mastery— Noriko is innately skilled at handling and wielding weapons: any implement or device that can be used with the intent to inflict damage or harm. Armed with weapons, she is an incredible fighter. She cannot conjure, shape, or manipulate weapons, only use them.
other— She's fluent in French. She's able to fix clothing on the go: a little rip, a loose button, a small stain. She's merely okay at hand-to-hand combat. Better than the average kid, but not to a demigod / Ares kid level.

PERSONA

When you're the son of the king of the gods, god of like six different things, along with like ten other titles (and several really insulting nicknames), heavy is the head that wears the crown doesn't even suffice. Trying to fulfill the largest shoes one could fathom, all the while trying to be better interpersonal wise, coupled with having to know his place as a half-mortal, doomed to die before most mortals ever graduate with a degree, was not an easy pill to swallow as a little boy.

Luc is friendly and very outgoing, and always tries his best to be open, inclusive, and understanding, which was hard as empathy was not his strong suit. Power comes to him easy, and he treats it like a sin, always trying to make amends. He's on a mission no one asked him to do and he thinks he's doomed to fail: always trying help everyone. Unfortunately, not everyone wants to be helped, and the ones that does sometimes goes unnoticed as he only has so many hand to lend.

Ever since he learned who is father is, he's been trying to follow in his father's footsteps while trying to avoid the pit of the terrible reputation comes with it. But as luck have it, fate is funny, and destiny is unescapable. Much as he tries to, he still come off as arrogant, vain, and several other things that makes it easier to guess his heritage than his zodiac. Cursed with being inhumanely charming, he might as well be a storybook prince. Busy with the upkeep of his reputation, he sometimes forgot to be genuine. Whenever something bad happens, his first thought runs to how he could fix it so none would think badly of him.

Just damn stubborn, he's always overeager to prove himself, for and despite it all.

Alas, his over-openness only make him seem unapproachable. He rarely shows his true feelings, if ever. As a naturally social person, he thrives when he's surrounded by people, and has a constant need for companionship. Despite his confidence, he's still prone to relying on the opinions of others to define himself and doesn't take well to criticism. He hides the fact that he's quite an emotional person as he dislikes that trait of him. People sometimes take advantage of his constant strive to please, and he lets them anyway, fully knowing of their ill intent, as if he's compulsed to help. The only thing that saves him from being trampled all over is his innate respect-demanding presence. Though at the end of the day, he's happy to help anyway, never-minding if he's seen as weak for it, because he knows that is one thing he'll never be.

Raenisa isn't just some half-blood. She is quick-witted and intelligent. Using her brain more often than anything else, she can easily pick up new hobbies and skills without an issue. This girl is strong-willed, not one to ever give up, but she can also be extremely stubborn. Her case of crazy, insane stubbornness is always causing issues. She gets herself into trouble and won't ever back out of it. She is sweet-tempered to those who know her. If you are her family or very close friend, you will see the more protective and compassionate side of Rae. Raenisa is very fair, believing that balance is essential. Nisa is always giving her all, and she won't lie down and give up when she is met with a challenge.

Many consider this girl as the 'Ice Queen' of all the Hade's children. She is cold, collected, calm, and quiet when you first meet. her. She is not one for small talk, and she holds herself in a regal way. She is sarcastic and sassy when she gets comfortable with you. You will find her mischievous streak extends to a decent 100 miles long. She is very distrustful and wary of anyone that isn't her family. She will do anything for her family. She doesn't like sitting still, but despite this little quirk, she is a great fighter and tactician. She also patrols the camp at night to curb her restless side. history

Childhood & The Reaping:
Raenisa was born on December 4th to Hades and a Korean woman who worked as a wildlife veterinarian. Her father was unknown until she ended up coming to camp. Rae was the eldest child - born first out of her twin little siblings. However, the time Raenisa spent with her mother was more often than not in the field, helping with veterinarian work in Australia. Sadly, when Raenisa was around 9, and her siblings were 5, her mother was killed when bitten by a venomous snake. After that, her aunt dedicated all of her time to looking after the younger two and ignoring her eldest niece. Rae refused to abandon her little siblings, and so, much like her mother, she threw herself into her strengths. She took on three different ways to support her family. She learned how to treat wildlife (which was her passion anyway), she sang for parties, restaurants, and events, and she also wrote books. When her little siblings turned 10, he begged his sister to teach him how to hunt so he could help support the family. Of course, Raenisa couldn't refuse, and she happily began to teach him.

All good things, though, come to an end. The day before her birthday - anxiety was rich in the air. The sound of her little sister's calling her name indicated everything was going wrong, and immediately, Raenisarushed to try and save her little siblings, only to arrive too late. Her siblings had ended up drowning in the river that surrounded the small house. Raenisa immediately left Australia, heading for New York, where her mother's journals told her a camp would welcome her due to her heritage. Along the way, she came across a small puppy and adopted it - naming it Aelita. What she didn't know then was that the small pup was actually a hellhound pup sent by her father to guide her to safety.

Camp Halfblood & Present Day
Raenisa arrived at Camp Half-blood when she was 13, and Aelita remained by her side the whole time. However, two years before she ended up coming to the camp, she had found an abandoned cabin and spruced it up. This allowed the girl to be away from people, and the small cabin became her small sanctuary. Raenisa came into camp injured and unconscious, Aelita finding a camper to help her mistress when the duo ended up injured from a monster attack. Aelita didn't trust anyone near her mistress, but when they needed help the hellhound had to do what was best for them which was getting help. Rae was claimed almost immediately when she awoke from her mini comma.

Raenisa is not a fan of having siblings and tries to distance herself from any remotely related possibility regarding her half-siblings. The memory of her little sister's drowning is the main reason behind her distant demeanor. Raenisa has been at camp for approximately 7 years and has been in New York for about 9 years. Aelita has been with her for about 10 years, and Raenisa has been on her own since she was 10 or so. She has been on a decent chunk of quests and holds a tight distrust towards Roman demigods. Mainly because she doesn't trust easily and she has been attacked before on her way to New York.

abilities

Shadow Walking: Raenisa can shadow walk as long as shadows are present. If none are present (such as on a sunny day without any source of shadows from trees, etc.), she will not be able to do so. This ability makes her incredibly tired, and she is only able to take 1-2 others with her at a time. As such, she can be extremely drained after this.

Life Aura: Sadly, Raenisa has the ability to sense someone's life aura - this isn't her favorite ability as she knows when someone is dying even if they look perfectly fine.

Geokinesis: Raenisa can manipulate rocks and the earth. She has little to no control over this ability and it tends to come forth especially when she is frightened, protective, or upset. She can open fissures and levitate rocks. However, especially with a lack in control, she also drains her energy.

personality: Vi is playful, flirty, mischievous, and a troublemaker. She takes after her mother very much and enjoys causing chaos and strife in the camp. She really has issues with going to far when she causes issues and seems to want to throw the whole camp into chaos. Vi favoring cats often has many cat like behaviors and can often be found lounging in high places or even staying in a cat form for days at a time. Vi however does have a less chaotic side and secretly regrets when things spin out of control, she will play the villain that planned it all when in truth things just snowballed. She also has been known to shield young campers from her mischief and has revealed her hand in things when younger campers get the blame. Still over all she is a chaotic person with a bit of a silver tongue that can only somewhat be trusted. She also has a thing about keeping herself a mystery often telling conflicting stories about anything and everything.

backstory: Vi being the child of chaos has never actually told her story to anyone, or rather she has told multiple stories to people and perhaps planted a few to make them seem to emerge from the campers themselves. What is known is that when she arrived at camp she came with a group of half bloods and had been in the form of a black cat held by the youngest till she got there and revealed herself, though Mr D was going to out what she was anyways. Vi has also never officially been claimed, but it is beyond clear who her parents is, but she uses this fact to cause yet more confusion.

As for her past She has often said she has told the truth, but the truth is buried in so many lies she just tell people to pick whatever story they like. A chose your own adventure story is her favorite after all. She has claimed to have been abandoned by her humans father and raised by stray cats on the hard streets until she one day found a nice family and had been living as a house pet when not at camp. this is why she likes cats so much and often turns into one as if she had always been one. In other stories instead of being raised by cats her mother came after she was abandoned and broken the normal taboo of interacting with your kids. Vi claim to have lived in her mothers home in tarteus, and says her rather special power and clear favor of her mother are proof. While most half bloods would likely never see their parents Eris would be the kind to ignore laws she doesn't feel like following. She also claims to have lived a rather simple life with a single father who couldn't really remember her mother. in this story she still encounters her mother, but for a far shorter period, but she still receives her mother's favor despite the laws. There is another story that other campers made up, which Vi doesn't deny might be true, that she is not in fact a half blood, but rather Eris herself pretending to be human

powers:

Mist body: A rather unique powers Vi claims is a gift from her mother that allows Vi to turn part of all of her body into mist and reform it. She use this to shapeshift into whatever her mind can imagine though larger things are harder and leave her sore. She can also change her weight and can even allow her to separate parts of her body from others. This ability is something she had to think to activate so sneak attacks will get her where she can simply become mist to avoid any attack she is aware of.

Mist control: Perhaps born from her special gift Vi has the power to manipulate the mist though she most often uses this for playing with others minds over anything practical.

Umbrakenisis: A rather weak version of the power that lets Vi use shadows to hide herself, though simply becoming something very small often works better.

weapons: Vi tends to use bronze arm bands that can create a seemingly endless amount of bronze throwing knives at will.

Tsiuri is extremely loyal and honest once you get to know her. Outside of that you better be prepared to find an icy queen of the Hunters of Artemis. She is extremely protective and kind to children (especially girls/females). Like most hunters, she dislikes males and loathes the camps. Especially Romans.

Tsiuri is respectful and kind to most of the goddesses, but none more so than her mistress, Artemis. She is dedicated and strong-willed when her mind is set to a task and she takes the safety of the Hunters to the very extreme. She is cold and collected to those that are not part of the Hunters, but once you get to know her or are with the Hunters you will see the more patient and sweet-tempered side to her.

She is quiet and observant with a streak of intelligence that could very well scare some. Being the Daughter of Tyche she has an uncanny ability to know when good luck strikes. While she despises fighting, she will fight to protect the Hunters and Artemis with her very life. As well as children. While most males inspire the cold and cautious side of her, she also will not judge children for the misdeeds of teenagers and adults. Little Star tends to be close-minded against most (if not any) half-blood she meets unless Artemis finds them suitable and requests her opinion on them joining the group. Tsiuri doesn't tolerate bullying period, and she will protect anyone that is subjected to it.
first stage of life
Tyche had fallen in love with a human mortal, which is what caused Tsiuri to be born. However, the uniqueness of her hair inspired cruelty from herm other and her stepmother. Tsiuri was born not knowing who her mother very well was, and she also was not part of the kindest family either. Her father was often drunk and gambled constantly while her stepmother was vain and cruel. Her father ignored her for the most part, other than calling her names while her stepmother decided to hit her for not cleaning the house or making dinner good enough.

Tsiuri was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age, once her elementary teachers realized she didn't like to sit still and preferred to have something to mess with. With this, she was put on a medication that didn't help her at all. She was so reliant on it to be able to focus, that withdrawal symptoms were common when she didn't end up taking it. When she began to show signs of having extremely good luck, her father made her join him in gambling and forced her to make sure he won.

When Tsiuri had ended up having enough, she left the house that had been her worst nightmare. Running away from home and finding her way into the realm and world of being a half-blood. She had only been 8 at the time. Artemis kept an eye on the young silver-haired girl with her constant brushes with trouble. A white wolf cub ended up bonding with the girl and the two made a startling pair. Tsiuri still had to attend school though and she would eventually find herself in a school where the camps were beginning to look for her.

second stage of life
Tsiuri had been on the run for years at this rate, and she was just now turning 13, which meant she was entering high school. Her partner in crime (as she called the wolf), shadowed her everywhere and this was when she was found out and attacked by a few monsters Of course, she refused to step foot in the camp (and who the heck would with her past). Artemis saw the reluctance of the girl and quickly revealed herself, offering the girl a place amongst the hunters.

Tsiuri was all too happy to oblige. During this time she grew close to one specific hunter, Arrisa Wier. Arrisa was the current second and almost immediately could see something was off. As such she took the young teen to a doctor herself and got her off the current ADHD Medicine she was on and got her on a new one. One that didn't cause such a harsh reaction when she forgot or didn't take it. The two became as close as sisters and still Tsiuri wasn't claimed by her mother.

The daughter of Tyche remained away from the camp for years until more recently when the Hunters were called to the camp for a battle. Artemis didn't like the camp and she really wasn't fond of her newest huntress being around so many males when it was clear she had a fear of them. However, the only good that came from this visit was that Tyche finally was able to claim her daughter.

Life as a Huntress and the Rise to Command
For years, Tsiuri trained her hardest to become an amazing huntress. She was dedicated and Arrisa (who was the current second in command) was fond of the girl so she took over her training personally. The duo were thick as thieves and they had a heck of a reputation which made most half-bloods wary of the duo.

Tsiuri and Arrisa were on a quest which was given by the Oracle, a few years ago. Arrisa tried to make Tsiuri stay behind because of the danger and the silver-haired girl refused. The huntresses were badly wounded and by the time the group found them, Arrisa was too far gone - making Artemis promise to make sure Tsiuri took her place as the second in command. Gifting her very own circlet to the girl she thought of as a sister. Artemis took the circlet and braided it into the silver hair, making sure it would never come off with her own blessing as she blessed Arrisa so the girl could take her place among the stars.

Tsiuri since then has been the second in command and takes her role extremely seriously. The girl lost all innocence and vibrance she used to hold - becoming strict and cold to most who didn't know her. She became known as Astraea to those who didn't know her true name and only the fierce protective way she fought. Tsiuri is often found alongside Artemis or her wolf unless she is training groups of hunters. She refuses to take anyone under her wing as Arrisa did for her - vowing to do her best to survive as a maiden for eternity and not die so she could protect Artemis (who she fondly may call Arty at times). Only Artemis has seen her at her most vulnerable, as her dreams are still riddled with nightmares and the screams of Arrisa.

Sylvia Lyrei
Sylvia is her stepmother - she is the one person (other than her father) who she dislikes more so than any male. She despises her and refuses to have anything to do with the woman. Sylvia is one of the causes for her nightmares - and the reason behind the largest scar she carries under her tattoo.
Arrisa
Arrisa was the first second in command with the Hunters of Artemis when Tsiuri joined them. She was everything to Tsiuri - and the girl thought of her like the sister she never had. Tsiuri's circlet was Arrisa's before the girl was killed by a monster attack during one of the quests they went on. Tsiuri still blames herself and her nightmares are filled with the memories and screams of Arrisa as she was injured and tortured because of her.
Artemis
Artemis is the sole reason that Tsiuri fights and lives on. She views the maiden goddess as more of a mother than her mother, Tyche. Tsiuri looks up to Artemis and strives to be as brave and strong as the goddess. She is extremely loyal to Artemis and the goddess allows the girl to call her Arty in private (which she does so happily)
Irwin Lyrei
Irwin is the second least favorite person that Tsiuri has the pleasure of knowing. She hates him. He is the reason she despises males in general. Tsiuri ran away because her father used her talent for his own wellbeing. His own gambling needs which she absolutely despised.
