Most people who know both of the Yamamoto brothers agree that Ryūji is the quieter one; unlike the charismatic social butterfly Saichi, Ryūji is soft-spoken and slightly more reserved. However, he is not completely unlike his brother; despite his quiet manner, Ryūji has a pretty large circle of friends, and enjoys meeting new people.

Brief Bio
Ryūji Yamamoto was born in Narukami City, the younger of two children. His father, Takeomi Yamamoto, was an accountant working at Mizuho, and his mother, Yūko Yamamoto, owned a confectionary business.

His childhood was relatively uneventful; like his elder brother Saichi Yamamoto, Ryūji attended Kawada Elementary School and Narukami Middle School, before moving on to Narukami High School. Unlike his elder brother, who was an overachiever, Ryūji's grades were more average; chemistry was the only subject he really excelled in.

Since he was 8, Ryūji had been learning judo under the instruction of an 8th dan teacher based in Narukami. From the age of 11, Ryūji began to participate in judo competitions; his personal best was in 2016, when he, as part of Narukami High's judo team, clinched a silver medal at the city's Youth Judo Competition.

It was at the end of Ryūji's first year in high school that Saichi Yamamoto, his elder brother and the 73rd Student Council President, was found dead in one of the toilets, his body gruesomely mutilated. Horrified and shaken, Ryūji was determined to find out just what had caused his elder brother's death, with or without the help of the faculty and the veteran policemen working on the case.

Headstrong and confident, Satoru is one who rarely second-guesses himself, always ready to give an answer to any question regardless of whether or not he has been given time to prepare. He is also a master of "bullshitting", as he calls it; coming up with explanations on the spot to cover things up.

He is also quite well known for his wit and his ability to flip the knife with clever insults and quips, a tactic which has incurred the wrath of one or two teachers and more than a few peers, but also gained him enough fangirls for him to be elected the Council Secretary, a position he is set to take over at the end of the second term.

Brief Bio
Born to an upper-middle-class family in Tokyo, Satoru Nihei is the oldest child and the only son of Gorō Nihei, a colonel in the Japan Self-Defence Force. When Col. Nihei retired from the JSDF in 2007, when Satoru was 7 years old, the entire family moved out of Tokyo, to Gorō's hometown, Narukami (along the coast of Niigata Prefecture).

There, Satoru attended Kawada Elementary School and Michibata Middle School, and at both, displayed a fierce academic prowess, acing the vast majority of his tests and exams with minimal effort put in, while also succeeding as a debater.

Upon entering Narukami High School, Satoru joined the Student Council as a councillor-in-training in the first year, becoming a full-fledged councillor in the second half of the year, after the 3rd-year councillors stepped down to study for their university entrance exams.

The deaths of Saichi Yamamoto and Miyu Hayashi, the 73rd Student Council President and the secretary of the Drama club respectively, both close friends and senpai of Satoru, came as a huge shock to him; by the time the new year started, during which he was placed in the same second-year class as Saichi's younger brother, Satoru Nihei became determined to find out just what it was that had possessed the toilets.

Nagako Arima was born in Narukami City; her father, Hisashi Arima, is a well-known investor and stock market broker who sits on the Board of Directors of Narukami Middle School. From her mother's side of the family, Nagako is related to Toyotomi Hideyoshi.

She spent most of her childhood playing around and running about, but became very much serious with her academics by the time she entered middle school, where she performed quite decently.

The fun, for her, began when she entered Narukami High School. Among other things, she got herself a boyfriend, none other than the pretty boy student councillor Satoru Nihei (whom she knows many other girls have crushes on, something which she likes to gloat about), and, by the second half of the school year, will make history by becoming the first female band major of Narukami High School's military band.

Brief Bio:
Fuyuko grew up being raised by her loving grandmother. Not a woman of tradition, her grandmother wasn't one for caring about grades - as long as Fuyuko tried her best, then that's all she ever asked.
Fuyuko is the closest friend of Hiriko, having grown up next door to each other, they even dated briefly but they agreed it was too weird. She's very proud of the boy and all his achievements, knowing she's definitely not as smart. That being said, she keeps a B average in her classes, trying to keep her promise to her grandmother that she'd always give it her all in anything she did. This is what drove her to pursue gymnastics, a sport she was told she had a natural talent for.
