Advice/Help Confuzzled over the correct place for my interest check

Now you see due to all this Read Dead Redemption 2 hype and due to the fact i have not been spared from it, i was looking to create a wild west styled rp. But im not sure if thats realistic/modern, since the era kinda existed after all or, since its not based on real events and it for sure isnt modern, if it is to be posted in the fantasy section. Maybe somebody here can help me out? Right now I´m believing it should be realistic/modern, but im not sure so i figured i was going to ask here first.

Realistic/Modern is about any time period in a believable setting on Earth in our history. It's realistic/modern.

Edit: It could obviously be set on the moon, or something to that effect when talking about colonies. Or have superheroes.

I would suggest Realistic/Modern. Fantasy is more fantastic worlds and magic.
