Rules:
  • First and foremost, please respect all players involved. Characters don't have to like each other, but I do expect a respectful civility among players at the very least.
  • I do require a single paragraph post minimum, though prefer longer and more detailed posts.
  • I ask that you please follow post order. That being said, if you are unable to post within 48 hours of your last post, please let me or the co-GM(if there is one) know so that we can either temporarily control your character to move things along, or skip you. Disclaimer: Failure to let it be known will result in temporary removal from plots until your return, or possible character NPC-ification.
  • All RPN rules apply.

Guidelines:
-If you are doubling on characters, you may post each separately or together, as long as it is easily recognizable that they are two separate posts.
-If you are able to code, lovely! Just don't go too crazy. If not, no worries, as I am unable to.
-Most importantly: HAVE FUN!

It had been late when the Circus made camp, the caravan arriving well after suppertime, and thus far too late for a show. It was as close to a break as they got on travel days, the trailers pulled into place so that people could reset their sleeping quarters and so that the Crew could get to work on the tent. Performers were expected to get as much rest as they could, since they'd be performing the very next night, on top of their daily chores. This stretch would be particularly long, given that they'd never visited this particular city before.

As the night passed, Circus City, as it was referred to, grew, the tent appearing like a silent shadow on the horizon just outside of town, softly illuminated by the working flood lights. Morning would come, and the early risers would begin to stir, the Crew on their way to sleep the day away.

Lionel would be set up in his office already, tracking their cross-country tour on a map, seeing what detours they could push for. There was no schedule, no line-up. Simply a desire to travel and see the world. At least, that's what he told his little troupe. The art of Circus was dying, with big names going under or failing to dazzle as they once had. It was a shame, truly. But for now, Nocturnas stood strong and quiet in the morning light.

Sabine

A shower had been wonderfully refreshing first thing in the morning, much needed to ease the aches and pains that accompanied a poor night's sleep. It was always this way during travel, the constant shaking about churned her stomach, even after so long with Circus Nocturnas.

It was her turn to set-up breakfast, the large out-door kitchen area had been set up the night before, though there were a few finishing touches to be made. An hour and a half later, however, a large pot of oatmeal, a tray of biscuits, bacon, fruit, and several carafes of orange juice sat ready and waiting for her fellows to awaken. Oh, and of course, plenty of coffee.

She was not necessarily a morning person, but the prospect of some peace and quiet never went unappreciated. Her curly hair hung down about her shoulders, a short, silver silk robe draped about her lithe form, a white camisole peeking out from underneath, and soon a bowl of oatmeal and some carefully picked berries accompanied her at one of the picnic tables that served as the 'dining hall' for the entire Circus City.

Pale eyes glanced about, wondering who the next to join her would be.

Devin Murphy

Most mornings, Devin didn't get out of bed until about noon. What was the point in working nights if you got up early? But they'd gotten in early, and he'd gotten to sleep early, and there was only so long he could lay awake in bed before he got bored, so Devin was up and showered by the time breakfast rolled around. He was wearing flannel pajama pants and a baggy black hoodie that mostly hid the fact that he wasn't wearing a binder, and barefoot. The little cafeteria area smelled like coffee, and Devin followed it in.

"Morning, Sabine," he said. He picked the biggest cup and filled it most of the way with coffee. "What's on the agenda for the day?" He wasn't terrible close to anyone in the circus, but he liked Sabine
