On the morning of October 2, 2016, 16-year-old Fujino Ayama was found dead in the school pool at Kaisei High. The medical examiner reported a sign of blunt trauma on her skull where her head hit the edge of the pool when she fell in. There were no signs of foul play and the investigator ruled the death as an accident, citing that Ayama slipped on the slippery surfaces of the natatorium, hit her head, and drowned.


Time has passed since the incident. You are currently a third-year student at Kaisei High. The school year has, so far, been relatively peaceful and you are waiting for graduation when spring arrives. This changes however when on the night of the one-year anniversary of Ayama's death, everyone in Class 1A receives an ominous text from an unknown phone number. At first everyone treats it as a prank but as time goes on, the cryptic messages turn into death threats that slowly become fulfilled. One by one, someone is terrifying the students at Kaisei in memory of Ayama, and whoever it is, they're out to kill.


You may not be the first victim. You may not be the second victim. But if you don't hurry to uncover the truth behind what really happened on the night that Ayama died, then you are bound to be next.

It was that time of the year again.


From your seat near the window, you can see the trees blowing in the wind, the leaves dancing in the light autumn breeze. Above, the clouds floating over Tokyo were white and gentle, slowly moving in the direction away from the partially-hidden sun. You spy a blanket of gray in the far distance, and at the rate in which the wind seemed to be moving, it appeared as if there would be an incoming storm by tomorrow night.


At the front of the class, Mr. Takizawa was teaching a lesson on the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, and normally you would care -- or at least a fragment of your conscience would -- but today your mind was on something else:


Graduation.


Ah, the thought of graduation sparked a sense of excitement in you. You still had a considerable number of months left in the year but the desire to finally leave high school, to walk on that stage and make not only you but also your family proud was strong. From that point on, you would finally be an adult and live life on your own. This was your next milestone. . .


But you still had another 6 months to go.


With that thought, your mind returned to the present.

As everyone engages in a fury of movements to hurriedly retrieve their lunch and rush to their friends, you hear your name being called among the crowd.
