[2E] Ride and Sail trees

Is it my imagination, or are the Ride and Sail trees in Second Edition significantly cooler than First Editions?

They are, they actually made Charms worth a damn, or at least much better. I mean hell, look at the new Shipwreck Surviving Stamina.

Yeah I noticed the same. Invincible Admiral Method is just cool.

that's cause those are solar charms, not terrestrial charms.

I know... but a solar should still be able to speed his ship...

and the ride tree has the best name in charms, for me, that is the "sometimes horses fly approach" (if i am not mistaken)

I beleive that's Borgstrom's.

I think the Ride Charms are cool, but so are the Survival ones that allow you to customize your familiar. Which of course you turn around and use on your mount.
