personality overview ;
To put it simply, his voice doesn't exactly match his physical appearance. Yet, the airiness and roundness of his voice give him a melodic vibe. At first glance, he may seem to be more of a serious person. His resting face is molded into a more serious expression. Eventually, he flashes a smile or even an "ugly" face, signally in a normal setting, he's far from serious.

Dannie adores speaking with people; finding socializing almost addicting. He always tries to approach people with a friendly demeanor. Often feeling hurt when people either push him away before even getting the chance to know him. Never has he understood outsiders. Why wouldn't they want to put themselves out there?

Many times he's been told he's an airhead, but contrary to popular belief he's a lot smarter than he sees to be. Quite often his face falls into a certain expression when he's not completely paying attention. His mouth partially opens and he appears to look like a lost puppy. But rather than actually being a lost puppy, he's just thinking off into space.

biography ;
birth:
Home life had always been relatively normal other. However, the beginning years were fled with financial problems. Bok Se Jun //father// and Bok Soo Eun //mother// had their first child in the land of the free. The young parents weren't prepared to raise a child in a foreign country. Their financial problems forced them to stay in a cramped studio apartment with paper thin walls. Thick stress always coated the atmosphere when the "what will we do next" topic came up. It all seemed like it would only go downhill from there.

clear up:
Everything began to pick up before Dannie even reached kindergarten. His father managed to grab a stable job. It paid a fair amount, and the family was able to raise their status in the social class. Home life had become simple and easy. When asking about his personal life, he never had much too to say. Sweet and simple.

the beginning of school career:
First grade rolled around, and he was filled to the brim with joy. But unfortunately, the happiness was taken from him. Only speaking his parents' native tongue at home gave him a disadvantage. He wasn't able to properly speak to the other children, nor could he even understand the teachers. He spent most of his 1st-grade career in the speech room. Staying back a second year, to continue with his learning.

high school:
As his school career progressed he became apart of the "popular" group; the term used loosely as he tried to be apart of almost of every group. His immense about of socializing caused his grades to do poorly. The only people that seemed to notice besides his teachers were his parents. To stay they were fuming was an understatement. Their anger drove him to do better.

questioning and end of high school:
High school ended and so did friendships. The free time gave him the chance to come to terms with his orientation. The thought of himself being attracted to the same sex made him feel sick; not because he found the idea disgusting, but because of his parents. He had felt they were always strict when it came to same-sex relationships. After finally telling them, his relationship with his parents became rough and fragile. As time progressed, their relationship settled, and they were able to speak to each other without a quarrel.

current day:
He had begun his relationship with his current boyfriend after a painful breakup. They had begun as simple co-workers at an office. Their relationship was nothing more than a friendship until a drunken night. This night led to a one night stand, which then led to a relationship. Recently, Dannie has been suspecting his boyfriend has been rather unloyal (*wink wink*).

//probably be more specific in rp. i'll have more ideas them//

PERSONA
.
PROMINENT TRAITS: hard-working, persistent, observant, kind.
Growing up Jace has faced many challenges in his life, changing him and sculpting him to the person that he is today.

At the mere age of 3, his father ( Chandler Mok ) left him and his mother
( Mok Hyemi ) to purse his life, finding that being in his early twenties and doing nothing with his life wasn't something he wanted to continue so, he left. Feeling stupid, Hyemi had finally felt alone the words ‘Mother knows best.’ echoing in her head. Once a chaebol, Hyemi had her entire life planned out for her - a blueprint of her life that told her what would happen and why they were going to happen, there were no rooms for mistakes or changes, yet she made one. At the young age of 22, she left her duties and eloped with Chandler, a Korean tourist who lived most of his life in the US, but was currently visiting his family in Seoul. When he came back to the States, he came with Hyemi who was no longer known as Min Hyemi but rather Helena Mok, and only a year later Jace was born.

Now, only a few years later Helena Hyemi was forced to pick up the pieces of her life and connect them, she was no longer in the honeymoon phase and was currently facing the h a r d realities of life. Seconds turned to minutes, minutes turned to hours, hours turned to days and days turned to months, when Hyemi was finally cracking - fragile, she was like glass. Pretty to look at; untouchable and unattainable but, one drop to the ground and she shatters. Jace had watched his mother, with careful eyes noticing the eye bags under her eyes screaming fatigue, the way the corners of her mouth would slowly lift to reveal a fake smile, her lethargic figure trudging through the apartment as she got ready for her second job.

Jace had sat on the kitchen floor, playing with his toys, sound effects of cars crashing leaving his supple lips - eyebrows furrowed in slight concentration as he played while his eyes crinkled into crescent moons, before his mom hushed him gently, putting a finger to her lips to signify that he needed to quiet down Looking up at her, Jace apologized and that's when he saw her - she was broken. The look of complete exhaustion and forlorn etched across her face; eyes brimming with tears as she stared down at Jace, his petite figure reflecting in her glassy brown eyes while Jace peered back at her, his eyes filled with a certain unadulterated innocence that made her burst into tears, completely lost at what to do with her life. Rushing to comfort his mother, Jace’s slim arms went to wrap around his mother in hopes a hug would make her happy, whispering that she shouldn’t cry because everything was okay, and though everything wasn’t okay, a small part of Hyemi was given hope that made her believe that made everything would be okay, eventually, as long as she had Jace.

At the age of 7, he made his first friend. Not a very talkative kid, he mostly kept to himself for most of elementary. Shy; he refused to walk up to anybody and make a conversation, often he’d get nervous they were judging him as if they knew he only had one parent and that they didn’t have everything or he felt as if they knew he’d already worn these pants just last week and had to wash them again. Even in his early years of school, Jace always made it his number one goal to work hard, he diligently did his work, studied for tests in hopes of making his mom proud even though he knew she’d be proud of anything he’d do. Jace’s first friend’s name was Hyemi — rambunctious and creative, she possessed a large presence and warm aura, that made anyone feel fuzzy inside. Every time she smiled it was as if the entire room lit up, hazel eyes like crescent moons as her freckled nose crinkled.

With the help of Salina, Jace slowly became more open by the time Middle School approached. No longer was he known as the quiet smart kid, but rather just Jace. Playful as ever, Jace had no serious bone in his body, finding silences and serious moments unbearable. It was more often you’d find a smile on his face than any other expression except for a silly one. Competitive, he always found the need to be best at everything and make his mom proud even though she always said she was proud of him. Jace had dreams of being able to provide for both him and his mother because of their low middle class lifestyle.

Freshmen year of High School, Salina and Jace split, finding they no longer had anything in common, with Salina being an extreme party animal that type of lifestyle didn’t fit with him. Freshmen year was also the year that Jace questioned his own sexuality. Finding that he slowly started to lose interest to females. His stares lingered on males longer than usually, and found that with certain male friends he found trouble differentiating his feelings, wondering if they were just friendship feelings or romantic. With a certain guy, of the name Oliver, Jace really had trouble figuring how he felt. It felt as if he was going to explode every time he was around Oliver, heart beating wildly and loudly in his chest that that’s all that he could hear. Every time he saw Oliver wrapped around some girl, Jace couldn’t help but become jealous and wonder why that wasn’t him, and though all the signs were there, Jace didn’t accept nor fully understand his change of sexuality despite experimenting until he was graduating from High School.

A hard-working, perfectionist Jace is extremely hard on himself, believing he has to do everything by himself and only by himself. He’s someone who refuses help, and though he desperately needs it won’t he ask for it, claiming that he either a) ‘knows’ what he’s doing or b) will figure it out eventually, but he won’t ever give up even if all help seems lost, he continues and powers through of it because of his mother. Any time where he feels like giving up, he thinks of his mother and the hardships she went through to get him to where he needs to be. Though, it may seem like Jace is a serious person, he tries not to be intimidating and just like in Middle School you can often find a smile on his face. A gift to this world that keeps giving, he’s very selfless and kind, offering help to anybody but fails to always help himself, and though like always he won’t admit it he does need someone to watch after him just a bit to make sure he takes care of himself. A slightly private person, Jace is not the type to give out his entire life story to tell people what’s going on in his life - petrified that people who befriend him might leave him unexpectedly, it can take awhile for him to open up.
