Oliver nickname: oli / aglio e olio (the spaghetti lolol)
"I may be the one who started this but Oli is the brains behind this operation 100%."
okay the nickname aglio e olio exists because keith was making up a random spaghetti spell when oliver was around and it accidentally landed neatly on his head. when keith realized what he's done, he quickly apologized and shit but well, that's not rlly a good first impression. the two meet and actually properly talk again and that's when keith learns of his name. keith's dumb tho so when he sees oliver for the second time he prob blurted out smth like, "hey, you're the aglio olio guy!". he gets weird looks from everyone around and a curt correction from oliver.
keith considers oliver a good friend but i wouldnt be surprised if oliver sees him as a nuisance because whenever keith's around, shit just goes down. I like to believe opposites attract though so maybe oliver could be that one person who pushes keith to be organized or at least somewhat organized. if oliver joins keith's group, he'll def be the one who gives them structure. keith also nominates him as planner/tactician. whenever keith has an idea, he goes to oli and asks for his advice like say "i need to sneak into the forbidden part of the library. help me."
maybe oli wont help directly (like getting involved) but he would make a map.
Killian nickname: killi / kill
"Killian Falken-what'sit? He's going to be the Einstein of the Wizarding World. Trust me. I can feel it."
Keith's a social butterfly and he takes great pride in knowing that he's familiar with at least three-quarters of the school and almost everyone in his term, so when he sees someone around his age who he doesn't know, he immediately goes up to introduce himself. handshake, friendly conversation, small talk and all that jazz. they kick off pret well as acquaintances even tho killian's quite short with replies. keith's done the introduction part a thousand times so he would prob notice if kil takes interest in a topic he brought up (potions, experiments, anything related to kil's hobbies - the topic would prob be reached when keith rambles on about classes and shit)
they may become friends later on, esp if kilian joins keith in on his misadventures. i cant think of any other reason why kil would want to hang out with keith and he prob only tagged along on the misadv. because there was a promise of gain (maybe ingredients for his experiments or testing out smth he's curious, idk.) if they become friends then, kil will be keith's main man to go whenever he's injured and shit. he'd prob have to bribe kil to heal him in the beginning. going to kil for healing is sooo much btr than going to the head nurse. nurses ask too many questions.
Penelope nickname: penny / small bean / he calls her penny instead of pen cause he likes the sound of it more & he does it even tho he has a hunch she's annoyed when he calls her tht
"If you have problems with your want, it's probably best to find Penny. She's the best with wand stuff."
Keith sees Penelope as a friend and the fact that he gave her a nickname is proof of so. He loves how she's very open and chatty like he is. The fact that she's good friends with his lil sis hailey is a bonus. He also loves how she cheers for him in quidditch. that shit just ruffles his feathers in all the right ways (my son loves being praised and acknowledged." Penny is def someone Keith drags into his adventures.
Keith prob knew of penny before he met her. he bought his wand at her family's shop instead of Ollivanders. They mentioned her name to him a couple times but didnt realize that pen was their daughter until after they became friends.
Hailey nickname: hay / snowflake (a play on her last name winters)
"You're can't tease Hailey. Only I'm allowed to tease Hailey."
he's the protective and playful older brother despite being one year older than her. he refuses to let her wear heels around him because she exceeds his height by an inch when she does and it bugs him. he loves teasing her and dragging her into his misadventures and despite all that prior, he'd never, ever let any harm come to his favorite slytherin buddy. also worth mentioning that hailey saves keith's heiny multiple times - both academically and during their little adventures.
she's to him basically what mila is to val. except his arch nemesis doesnt flirt with mila. he flirts with hailey and when he does keith just blows. expect sarcastic rebuttals, like those "hey, where have you been all my life?" (seb) keith just wraps an arm around hailey and steers her away, throwing his head back and replying "running away from you that's what." one of keith's worst nightmares is hailey and seb ending up together.
im not rlly sure how they met but for sure, keith went up to her and introduced himself cause she caught his eye or smth. she's tall so she's kinda hard to miss.
Belladonna nickname: bella / moonie (not cause of the werewolf thing but because her hair actually reminded him of moonlight. that and also cause he later notices that she's always absent during full moons)
"if looks could kill, she'd have everyone slain."
keith has mad respect for bella. not sure why but he kinda just did. to him bella exudes a "queenly" vibe and honestly he doesnt mind it. the two become close acquaintances/friends (because same year and all) built on mistrust and interest (due to her relationship with sebastian).
---
(im not sure if this happened yet but i'll just type it out anyways) when keith later finds out that bella is a werewolf, he keeps his mouth shut and regardless of that, bella threatens him to secrecy (which he keeps til this day). the two have became fast friends since. keith can trust bella to have his back; snakes must stick together after all.
phyrun nickname: phyr (pronounced fire) / blondie *but only if phyrun's too busy studying to even notice keith calling him
"I like his sister. She's fun to talk to."
ok im not rlly sure where to go on this but i think they'd be distant friends or close acquaintances. they're the same age so there's no reason keith wouldn't know him. he prob bugs phyr from time to time. tbh he only knows phyr because keith's friends with his sister. (yah keith befriends ppl of all ages yo) sometimes if he's feeling brave, he'd ask phyrun for help on studies. Keith also finds phyrun cute.
aivree nickname: ave / short stuff / tiny thunderfist
"she's cool, I guess." surprisingly they're be close buds, besties even. maybe. keith prob met aivree when he was trying to ditch detention and ended up finding her when shes tucked somewhere on campus, drawing. he sees her art and is pret much just !!!!! "merlin be damn, can u draw me too" and shit just started off from there.
it's easier for them to bond since they're in the same house so aiv is stuck seeing keith a lot. for extra rs dev, my dumb son prob pushed his luck once and pissed aiv off. he prob got punched in the face for it and ended up with a black eye for days. since then he's learned to never, ever to piss off aivree lanzone. *both of them have troubles being honest with their feelings
seb nickname: seb / sebby / *he never calls sebastian by his full name cause he knows he hates his nicknames >
"seb walks around with a stick up his ass half of the time."
before they met or exchanged words, keith didn't think much of the male outside "oh he seems like a nice fella." The male probably acknowledged seb at one point for something outstanding and had plans to introduce himself and befriend him. he didn't however cause idk some shit was happening, maybe he was busy.
their first interaction basically consisted of seb making a rude comment about gryffindors when aivree and keith were walking down the halls. aiv and keith overhears and aiv flares up like wHAT dID U SAY MATE SAY IT TO MY FACE i wILL FITE U! and keith just holds down the little ball of anger ( Sasil
if this is out of character for aiv i'll swap aiv with a random gryff npc) like "woah tht wasnt very nice".
shit goes down from there and they fight and squabble and then keith realizes that seb isnt being a hater cause he's a dickhead. I mean, keith still thinks he's a dickhead but like the way he was brought up was.... familiar. eughh. so he decided, noope NO This gotta stop and now they have this weird hate-love rivalry going on.
keith would hate him less if he wasn't after his simba
val nickname: simba / beautiful (he called val that the first time he met him & that was on pure accident. the words spilled from his lips before he could even catch himself.)
"im not in love with him."
there's no denying that keith has it bad for val except there is denial and all of it comes from keith himself, esp when he's alone with his thoughts at night. (val's now an additional reason why keith hates sleeping at night and cause he nvr sleeps, he sneaks out all the damn time ugh stop him). i was thinking they prob first met when keith was looking for proff myron for """help""" (nah just eyecandy) but then saw a curly brown mane with a face talking to his dear prof. at first he was like "whOS THIS PUNK TALKING DADDY i mean PROFF MYRON UP" but then val turns around and everything turns to slow motion. keith loses his train of thought and whatever he just... stops. it all goes down hill from there.
he flirts with val on a regular basis because, well he's a proud confident shit and just being around him makes keith happy. val's effect on him is gross and he's constantly batting his feelings down and playing it down ALOT. he refuses to think that he has any "serious" feelings for the male and the fact that val would prob never look his way makes him all the more wary.
val is also one of the few ppl in the school who can rlly trigger keith's insecurities. normally he doesnt give a shit about what other ppl think of him cause he's pret dense about stuff like tht & always has this "the world revolves around me" kind of mentality, but when it comes to val, he actually worries. what if val doesnt like him. what if he annoyed him. what if he bragged a little to much. what if he doesn't deserve him.
mila
nickname: mini mi / mimi
"I can hook you up with anyone except mila. mila's off grounds."
like most boys, mila had caught keith's eye. not cause she was beautiful and also easy on the eyes but because she radiated kind of niceness keith clicked well with. he enjoys mila's company and occasionally finds her to hang with him (esp since they're the same age). when keith met val tho (he knew mila had a friend named val but he hadn't met him yet) things took on a diff change. although he's still friends with the half-veela babe, he usually doesnt approach her when she's alone with val.
quinn nickname: double trouble / pinkie / bg (short for bubblgum) / *keith's nicknames catch on fast cause he's a popular shit so expect the teachers to sometimes accidentally refer to quinn as double trouble.
"she's like my other half. And probably the better half by the looks of it."
the two were acquaintances because they're in the same house and all, but it was only AFTER quinn dyed her hair did their friendship start to kick off. being in quidditch and sharing the love for the same sport made them nearly inseparable as well. keith was never a full on prankster until quinn crashed (literally) into his life and starting playing a big part in it. they're also detention buddies.
they prob started talking when keith was up in the wee hours of dawn (almost breaking curfew) walking around the school to clear his mind and shit. it's dark. the sun's rising. keith's walking in the field and then suddenly smth whizzes right past his ear. it shines gold just faintly and quickly disappears out of view. he hears a scream behind him but before keith could even react, broom and flyer slams him in the back. it's quinn and he curses when he recognizes her.
quinn prob snuck out the golden snitch to practice and now shes panicking because it was a bad idea and if she doesnt get the snitch back before anyone notices shes going to be in deep trouble. she squawks at keith to help and the two manage to get the snitch back in its place before the school wakes up. both parties are completed exhausted by the time their done, prob sitting down behind the bleaches with their asses glued to the floor, well out of breath. they look at each other and laugh because "wow that was exhilarating but i think im going to have a bruise on my back for the next two weeks." they properly introduce themselves and become official friends.
Val
Quinn doesn't mind Val's company from time to time. Sure, he's may have been a victim one too many pranks but that doesn't mean she doesn't love him any less, right? Wrong. When it comes to being friends with Keith, Quinn feels threaten by Val. She's worried that Keith will replace her and she'll have nothing, Keith is like her brother and she'll do anything to make sure that she doesn't loose him in a non-clingy way, even if it means ruining Vals's beautiful mane.
Penelope
Quinn finds Penelope cute and almost attractive in a way. She enjoys Penelope's joyful personality and would happily be friends with her.
Killian
In all honestly, Quinn finds Killian terrifying. Sure, he's useful when it comes to assignments but otherwise, Quinn would try to avoid him as best as she could. He could be handy when it's midnight before she has to hand in her assignments and he could help her just to make sure she passes. Quinn would keep a neutral relationship between the two of them but otherwise, she wouldn't associate with him.
Keith
Quinn and Keith are like twins, the only problem is that Quinn can't help but feel her stomach fill up with butterflies every time she sees his beautiful face. Ever since she flew into Keith's back trying to catch the snitch, Quinn couldn't help but feel in love with him. But she can't muster the courage to confess her love to him, mostly because she's scared of rejection and the fact that their relationship could crumble in front of her eyes.
Hailey
Quinn and Hailey could be close friends. if Quinn had a best friend leaderboard, Hailey would be coming in at a close second. After pranking Hailey once in the library, Quinn and Hailey have been close ever since. Hailey could also know about Quinn's crush on Keith?
Bella
In Quinn's eyes, Bella is like the male version of Sebastian. She doesn't want to be associate or even be seen around her but Quinn does like her hair.
Aviree
Quinn and Aviree are close because of Quinn's deceased brother. The bubblegum pink hair girl met Aviree after bumping into her by accident while on a crazy chase by a Slytherin prefect. Aviree is like the girl version of Keith and usually the second person Quinn goes to when she needs to rant about her feelings towards Keith.
Phyrun
Quinn hasn't introduced herself properly and she'll probably forget to introduce herself.
Oliver
Quinn only sees Oliver as a neat freak who's only good for assignments. Most of the time, Quinn tries her best to piss Oliver off only because she finds it funny but when it comes to being them as friends, she woudl rather have her arm chopped off than being friends with him. Quinn can't stand his need for everything to be neat when she usually comes into class with her hair messy and sometimes mud on her cheek she forgot to wash off. Unless it's important, Quinn prefers not to hang around him.
Sebastian
Quinn despises him. Sebastian and Quinn are polar opposites and it would never work out as a friendship. She hates how bossy and controlling he is and he can't stand how fabulous she is plus they both play quidditch. If Quinn had the chance to beat Sebastian's stuck up ass in a game of quidditch, she wouldn't think twice about saying no. But if it was her last resort, she would ask Sebastian's help to try make Keith jealous of her.
Keith Anderson
Keith was one of the few guys to really squirm their way into her good books. Course, it came with a price. A few slight comments towards her, asking the dreaded question every single artist hates hearing ‘Will you draw me’ which resulted in a quick stick man and a flee from the situation, the two became friends. It didn’t help that they were in the same House so they saw each other more often then anyone else but Aivree slowly grew to like having someone to talk to. After a month or so and a punch to the face later for saying something stupid to her, she finally was able to give him a drawing that wasn’t a stick man and they became pretty good friends.
Belladonna Coban
Aivree tolerates and has a pleasant relationship with the Belle. While they do not hang out much but they see each other in classes and in the hallway, Aivree would happen to smile more often around her. Though she can see through some of her calculating attitude and doesn’t happen to enjoy being a string that can be strung.
Think that if/when Aivree finds out about her being a werewolf Aivree would be completely fascinated by the aspect. She loves the weird and unusual and I think she would want to help research into helping in any way she could.
Quinn Monroe
Having no place to run from someone who was happy, cheerful Aivree found one more friend amongst the Gryffindor pack. While Aivree doesn’t understand some things the girl does she does enjoy having another person to pull pranks on with, special ones that don’t complete revolve around magic. Loves the girls hair and has been wanting to ask her to dye her hair a cool colour yet normally chickens out when it finally the nerve revolves itself.
Since she lost her brother in the fight at Hogwarts, Aivree could maybe have known her brother? Or something like that?
Penelope Annette Hottle
Aivree met Penelope in Potions—after something horrible happened and the thing blew up right in her face. After that Aivree cursed and perhaps Pen came to her for help considering Potions is something that Aivree is highly good at thanks to her memory being so well? I can see her bothering Aivree for hep for a long time until Aivree finally agreed to do it just to get her to stop asking. xD
Hailey Winters
Hailey Winters? Oh you mean the taller Slytherin that seems to run away when Aivree enters a room? I can see, when they first meet that the Aivree might take pride in making someone taller than her run away when she opens her mouth. Course, Aivree does that with most people. Tall people bug her and she wishes she could just be a smidge bigger. But I think if they ever spent some time together they could be good friends, they just have to bond over something.
I also love the image of her wrestling a bear, for some reason I see Cassandra Pentaghast from Dragon Age Inquisition when you mentioned that. (sorry couldn’t help but say it xD )
Killian Falkenhausten
Aivree hardly knows the man all that well, considering different house’, the both of them hiding to themselves. She probably has heard the whispers of his healing and striving to be a Medic though and is intrigued at first. Not enough to go and hunt him down and start a conversation with him but interested in the first place.
Given the chance to hear him talk however she would probably like his accent.
Sebastian Blutmond
Time for someone Aivree can beat up like a punching bag.
Course I am kidding, though on the other hand, I could see the two of them wanting to wring each other’s necks whenever they come into contact with one another. ‘Did you just call me a house elf, you flat-faced troll, poor excuse for a human? Say it again. I dare you.’
Yeah, I think the first time they met, Aivree could have kicked him or punched him in the groin while walking away grumbling to herself about the Smug bastard he is.
They wouldn’t be good friends, that I agree with. Though I can’t help but wonder if she would find him oddly attractive in a love-hate kind of way.
Oliver Pollander
Aivree would probably be want to flick the boy in the face after so many questions about her photographic memory. While they wouldn’t be friends, more acquaintances like you said, if they did ever talk she might start to not hate him. She more finds him annoying but anyone who asks to many questions bugs her until they both find some kind of grounds they can relate on. I like the idea of her calling him Olive at some point.
Mila Sutherland
I do not have a clear idea for Mila and Aivree at the moment. I can see the two of them being ‘somewhat friends in the classroom’ they could bond over the fact they both love a lot of the same kinds of courses. I think the two of them could bond over the Care of Magical creatures though, and they share a lot of the same virtues.
I wanna say friends but what do you think?
Val Rosier
Val and Aivree could either be close or hate each other. I am unsure where to classify them because of this. Considering Aivree doesn’t like over dramatic, manipulative kinds of people yet he is also trustworthy and reliable something the two of them would have in common.
Phyrun W. Dalca
Aivree and Phyrun could very well bond over the fact they both are creative people. Having both being a little more on the anti-social kinds I could see them spending time just writing/drawing in their own journals. No words just silence. Perhaps ‘buddies’ is a strong term but acquaintances for sure I think.
Keith
Hailey probably doesn't even know what's happening around Keith half of the time, she definitely see's him as one of her few friends, even if she's in constant disapproval of his lifestyle and troublemaking. It's easy for her to get mildly irritated at him almost constantly, but it's never in a particularly bad way. More a sibling disagreement way, I think despite her shyness Keith is one of the very few people who will be able to make her be a little more social. There's also the fact that she's innocently naive, so likely falls for Keith's plots alll the damn time. Despite his getting her in trouble, she doesn't actually hold any sort of grudge. She knows it's not malicious intent and Keith is just being himself.
Quinn
I'm quite sure that Quinn and Hailey would end up being pretty close friends, she's very similar to Keith personality-wise and that would reflect onto Hailey, they might not be friends right away but after a few Double Trouble pranks in Hailey's direction, I'm sure they'd catch on. Especially since Quinn is a skilled Quidditch player, Hailey would probably admire her for that since it's mostly boys who dominate the sport. I think in time, Quinn - like Keith - could be one of the few people able to make Hailey just open up and be a little more carefree. She has fabulous hair too! They've probably had a few short talks in the library or halls, but Hailey's closed-off personality hasn't given Quinn any room to bond.
Belladonna
Honestly, the normally timid, but shy Hailey would always be a little more fiery around Belladonna, she's less scared and far more angry. Hailey is super-kind, and the idea of ever being friends with Bella is literally unspeakable. She isn't as all-good as she'd like to think since she possesses a very real and avid hate for the Pureblood and her bullying in the earlier years, Hailey, who is obsessed with duelling, always has this open-desire to humiliate Bella. I think their magical rivalry would be incredibly well-known in the duelling community. This is a very real feud. Especially since Belladonna was one of the very few people who continued to atagonize Hailey after her second year.
Sebastian
Hailey does't really like Seb, she finds his "I'm better than you" attitude to be immediately face-palm worthy. Oh yeah, and he's a pesky Pureblood Supremacist and she's Muggleborn... Instant no-no right there, it isn't feasibly possible for her to feel comfortable around Sebby as long as he's like that, she finds him to be remarkebly small-minded and she'd much rather try to stay away from him as much as possible before he has an opportunity to be venomous towards her. I'd say on Hailey's end she dislikes Sebastian and tries to avoid him. She goes down different corridors if she see's him, just to avoid anything and everything that is Sebby.
Val
Much like Seb, Hailey would have a strong "stay away" policy due to his former beliefs, and opinionated nature, his popular status in Slytherin is a arge problem too, since Hailey is super shy. The supreme arrogance is also an instant sign of incompatile mindsets, and I think Hailey and Val would have a relationship of either mild-dislike or uncooperative aquaintances. That is, until she see's he's trying to change/has changed. I think as long as Val is around Belladonna and Seb the Stay Away Policy would be pretty strong, but after their fallout there'd be room for the duo to become friends, not great friends but friends. It's very unlikely the two have officially met, he's a Slytherin social-butterfly with a strong history of Supremacist belief whilst she's a quiet, muggleborn who has very shaky history with supremacists.
Oliver
I think Hailey would be a little scared of Oliver's bluntly robotic intelligence, she likely wouldn't approach him and would be a slight bit intimidated due to his - accidental - hostile demanor. If Hailey was the quietly reclusive, "My own little bubble" type, she'd see Oliver as the "Destroy ALL Bubbles!" Type. Oliver is way too rigid and "to-the-book" than even Hailey is comfortable with. However, I do think the two have potential to become good friends, since both are unique in very stand-out ways but at the same time have some very strong, similar traits. Such as their academic prowess and soaring ambition. I imagine the only thing they really know each other from is studying in the library, they may have even have exchanged a few words and checked each others work.
Killian
I think Killian and Hailey have the potential to become friends, she'd find his wish-washy morality to be a serious concern at times, but ultimately she'd see through the exterior to the truth that Killian is, in-fact, a good person with a good heart. I imagine they'll inevitably become friendly after Killian patches her up from some manner of silliness such as slipping down a hill, tripping over a rock, or falling out of a tree.
Penelope
I think Penelope and Hailey would have a type of, defender-attacker relationship with Penelope constantly trying to get through Hailey's emotional walls until she succeeds. Which of course, she does eventually. I can definitely see them becoming close friends due to their shared stance on Blood Purity, and Penelope's naturally talkative-nature as opposed to her own shyness. I have this hilarious thought of their first ever encounter being in the library, and Penelope just approaching like, "So you're a muggleborn? That's cool! What's it like?" and Hailey just giving her a really mean glare. Of course Penelope means nothing by it, and starts poking Hailey with questions about kettles and irons, whilst she's literally internally screaming because all she wants to do is read her freaking book. They've probably had a few Q&A sessions by now, and Hailey is still giving super-short answers, but starting to almost enjot their meetings.
Mila
Hailey would initially be terrified of Mila, she's half-veela so to every male in the school she's drop-dead gorgous. For a first impression based on reputation alone, Hailey is more likely to run the other way upon nearing Mila, after all she has a bad family record too. However I think what ultimately would solidify their friendship, is their kindness. Hailey has a strong past with self-doubt, which she has overcome. She'd want to support Mila, and help her in anyway possible. I don't think either of them will have ever met officially in the school, unless Mila chased her down at some point; because Hailey would have actively avoided her over irrational fear of Mila's reputation.
Aivree
Aivree is terrifying. Hailey coud have nightmares of her. Despite the height difference, Hailey is much more likely to run away from Aivree than do any sort of fighting. Despite this, her hard-attitude is something that Hailey respects immeasurably and wished she had, despite their lack of interaction; Hailey already likes Aivree. Moreover, I do believe due to the sheer similarities the two have, they could become very good friends - if not best friends - since lots of their personality traits strongly align. They're both essentially good-hearted, smart, anti-social recluses. Yet Hailey is super timid, gullible and a bit of a wimp; whereas Aivree is a tough, composed, wrestle-a-bear hardass -- and Hailey is 4 inches taller than her, lol.
Phyrun
Phyrun shares a similar personality to Oliver, yet Phyrun is essentially the "friendly" type. I think Hailey and him could honestly be amazing friends. Both are essentially bookworms who dedicate a lot of time to the library, and share a strong kindness. She'd be a little intimidated by how much smarter than her he is; and she's damn smart. However, I do think she'd be inspired by his ability to be impressively social and incredibly academic.; his desire to be selfless and help others around him is also a huge belief they share. imagine the two have already met a few times in the library, perhaps done a few projects together. Maybe checked each others work, and given some feedback (more for her, than him) In-fact, if you wanted, we could have the two be friends already, since they've worked together on studies-and-stuff.
Sebastian
They've been friends for a pretty long time and Sebastian is one of her closest friends. Their relationship was stronger before the war, but they have grown apart ever since Belladonna dropped the pureblood supremacy ideas out of her mind and moved on. Still, Belladonna cares for Sebastian and can only hope their relationship will improve with time.
Keith
Keith and Belladonna don't talk much, mostly due to the fact that he's a Gryffindor and she's a Slytherin. This isn't to say people from the two houses can't be friends with each other, but Belladonna thinks Keith is a bit too... Gryffindor-ish for her taste. They're more acquaintances than friends and they didn't exactly get off with the right foot. They met when he heard Sebastian's anti-Gryffindor comments and let's just say Belladonna didn't take kindly to a Gryffindor threatening to hurt her friend. Now that the war is over and Belladonna is trying to make amends with the ones she hurt before, she hopes they can form a better relationship.
Penelope
Belladonna is quite fond of the Hufflepuff girl. She values her loyalty, wits and determination. They have a healthy friendship (bella might have a not-so-subtle crush on her) that was formed after Belladonna was disowned from her family. She found the girl's friendship comforting during those difficult times.
Oliver
Belladonna has a soft spot for Ravenclaws and Oliver is no exception. Belladonna has a very healthy friendship with Oliver, enough to consider letting him inside her trio with Sebastian and Val. They met years ago, and while they held different views on blood purity back then, Belladonna overlooked those details and accepted to form a friendship with the Ravenclaw.
Quinn
Much like her relationship with Keith, Belladonna considers Quinn to be much to problematic for her taste. They're complete opposites and don't see eye-to-eye in most situations.
Phyrun
She considers Phyrun to be a close acquaintance and finds his intelligence rather impressive, but she doesn't speak much to the man and haven't had a reason to do so. She wouldn't mind developing their relationship further.
Val
Val is her best friend and she would die to protect him. They met when they were children and have been friends since then. Their views due mix though, and that's lead to a handful of violent late-night duels in the Slytherin common room. They fight like siblings and it takes time to agree in any subjects. Regardless of their fighting, Val is the only person (at least during the beginning of the rp) who knows about Belladonna's lycanthropy. It took a lot of courage, but she figured she was going to need someone trustworthy to help her maintain her secret. She's incredibly protective over Val and would kill anyone who dared hurt him.
Killian
Belladonna doesn't know Killian due to the fact he's a transfer student. However, if first impressions have told him anything about the guy is he's a serious person who must be clever, or at least clever enough to be a Ravenclaw.
Hailey
Burn the witch
Belladonna hates Hailey since the day she first laid her eyes on her. A muggleborn in Slytherin? It was ridiculous. Belladonna made sure Hailey was suffering during those first five years living together in the Slytherin dorm. After she was bitten and her views changed, she considered apologising to Hailey, but the damage was already done. Five years of being enemies left to much of a scar in both of them and nothing could redeem their relationship.
Mila
Like everyone else, Bella was amazed by Mila's veela beauty when she first laid her eyes on her. However, apart from that, the two girls barely spoke to each other despite being in the same year and sharing Val as a friend. Belladonna spent most of her life thinking Mila was a filthy half-breed, so she kept her distance from the girl.
Aivree
Avriee is her favorite Gryffindor. Brave, but not reckless. A good heart, and a brain. She has a good relationship with the girl and while it isn't a friendship, it's close enough.
Keith Anderson
"That filthy half-breed? I'd choose to kiss the dementors any day."
Sebastian absolutely loathes the guy. He's annoying. He's a pest. Sometimes Sebastian thinks that Keith was simply way too full of himself. Sometimes he thinks that he's just plain stupid and that he'd make a better house elf than a wizard. A mute house elf. He felt that Keith's sole life purpose was to bring hindrance in his life. And then there's the whole Quidditch deal. Keith is a Keeper, which automatically makes him a rival of his, especially that he was a notably skilled player. And there's...something else about him. Sebastian just hates him. PERIOD.
I can agree with Aster on how the two should meet. It's pretty reasonable and I can actually see it happening. I can also see the two getting in a lot of fights or troubles later on, even so far as using hexes that got them into Madam Pomfrey's for the whole week XD
Hailey Winters
"A mudblood! How outrageous, she's a joke. I believe the sorting hat was either bribed or drunk before sorting her. I can't believe I'm forced to breathe in the same air with her in the dorms. She's a disgrace to the Slytherin pride. Better off replaced with a pig, if I must say. At least it has some use."
Sebastian doesn't like Hailey (as stated in his opinion above). He doesn't despise her, not really, but he'd way prefer her not being there in the first place. Not only does she seem to be out of place, in his opinion, but she's tainting Slytherin name. Sebastian can be seen to often flirt with her, though it was mostly in the purpose of annoying her at the same time lowering her degree, as if he was stepping on her face with spikey boots (that's how he'd describe it, at least). His flirtations are always insulting, as if she worth nothing more than an object of sex, sometimes even lower. Perhaps it could be said that Hailey is one of Sebastian's unfortunate main bullying targets.
Oliver Pollander
"Oliver? Which one is that? Oh. Another of those half-bred beings. I guess he's okay for a half-blood though I feel like he has facial expression issues. Or it was just his face, I'm not sure."
Oliver and Sebastian's relationship is fine. Maybe they're not necessarily friendly sunshine and lollipops and the sort but they're fine. And I don't know if Sebastian will remember his face. They can even be acquaintances. Somehow. At least they talk!
Val Rosier
"Val? What's with Val? Um. I guess we're friends. And he's such an eye candy, I'd keep him as a figurine. And his hair is my territory so back off *hisses*"
Sebastian, Val, and Bella. The golden trio 2.0 (or more likely silver due to their house. Does anyone know that silver is a rarer metal than gold?). They've been close friends since forever. Well...if they are to be made close friends, I'm going to suggest childhood friends. I mean, Sebastian couldn't possibly tolerate his "brand new views" if they hadn't been friends. They can get into disagreements, occasionally heated arguments about their different beliefs, but they always reconcile in the end (so far).
I don't know if Sebastian is going to be romantically attracted to Val. In fact, I can actually start to see their friendship wavering if the case was like this. Still, Sebastian likes beautiful people and in his eyes, Val is drop dead gorgeous. Maybe he won't hate on Val, but he just wished that Val would change his perspective, and that he can be someone way better following Sebastian's way of mind.
Aivree Lanzone
"Aivree...If I wasn't mistaken, she was that midget who looks like a lesbian house elf. No offense, but look at yourself in the mirror, please. Lets hope it doesn't crack."
I can see the two getting in lots of fights, to be honest. Aivree strikes me as the short-tempered fiesty type. And she hates smug people. Perfect nemesis (: extra info for you, Sebastian is not very good in hand-to-hand combat. Think about it. And perhaps she reminded him too much of his little sister (who, coincidentally was also so into magical creatures. And Pandora (his sister) could be classified enough as a tomboy, despite her long hair. She certainly does not talk like a girl. But then again, she's 12. And a soon-to-be Hufflepuff *Sebastian pukes in the background*
Phyrun W. Dalca
"That's the short guy right? *laughs*"
Sebastian, despite his confidence and everything, being not that tall of a guy himself, enjoys seeing that there was indeed a guy in his level shorter than him. Possibly one of the ways of him noticing Phyrun. Then again, his relationship with Phyrun is probably similar to his with Oliver.
Mila Sutherland
"Such a waste on veela blood. She could've been something better than some low half-bred Hufflepuff. Well. Guess not everyone can have both beauty and brains, unlike some people."
Mila is beautiful. Everyone knows that. Even the gayest of gays can tell that she's lovely. Sebastian would wink at her, but of course, means no serious business. He can't take Hufflepuffs, he can't take half-bloods, even if the half was veela instead of muggles. (Sebastian would probably be more disgusted if he had known of his history. I don't know if he knows, it's all up to lottie to how much Mila opens up). Other than that, I don't think they're that close for the matter.
Killian Falkenhausten
"In all honesty, seems like that guy got potential. And he's German. But once a mudblood always a mudblood, even if you wring dry all of their blood and infuse new ones. They'd need luck as huge as mountains to surpass us purebloods."
Such shame. Sebastian would've liked him so much if he was One). A Slytherin Two). A pure-blood. He can see that the guy was no usual guy, even for a Ravenclaw. He was passionate and could make a good Slytherin. If he could have a mudblood in his dorm, he'd rather it be Killian than Hailey. Nevertheless, he knows the guy hates him. And there is no way he is lowering his dignity and try to befriend a mudblood.
Penelope Anette Hottle
"Hottle is a hottie, but that's probably the only good thing about her. The girl's a freak. Sometimes she talks to herself? I bet Hufflepuffs are doing that thing of melting their brains and wearing them as make up."
Another of Sebastian's winking victim. I don't think he'd know her that well. She's kind of like Mila's shadow in his eyes. He probably wouldn't remember her face anyway and will mistake her for someone else when she's not around Mila.
Quinn Alice Monroe
"That bottle-dyed pink haired whore. Not one moment in a Quidditch match I didn't pray for her to drop off her broom."
If there's anyone he hates as much as Keith, it'd be Quinn. The two are like twins. Just as obnoxious, just as disturbing... and this one has to be so sassy. Sebastian despises it if people decided to smartass him. She's yet another Quidditch player. She's possibly going to be his main rival in sass war. And they might get in trouble too (like Sebastian and Keith) and may end up in the Hospital Wing. AGAIN.
Belladona Coben
"Finally someone decent to talk about besides Val. One of the few rares that got brains and beauty like myself. I like the way she thinks. She's clever alright, though lately something felt off from her. Wonder what."
Another member of the golden silver trio. Yeah, like said earlier, they're close friends. Though due to Sebastian's overwhelmingly fishy personality, I don't think Bella would trust him that much. The werewolf thing shall turn as a surprise (like described in the thing yesterday. The one with meeting her suddenly and stuff). So yeah. Perhaps Bella can freely be either childhood friend or new friend (perhaps just a few after entering Hogwarts), due to her distrust in the guy. But then her views began to waver after the battle. So yeah...this group is most likely burning down in flames XD
█ ▌ A I V R E E
Unlike Sebastian, Val hasn't had the privilege of being on the receiving end of Aivree's wand (or her fists). Nor is he planning to anytime soon.
Aivree is probably one of the few people in Hogwarts capable of matching Val's infamous temper, and it should go without saying that them being pitted against one another would be nothing short of devastating for everyone involved (and for the entire Hogwarts populace in general). Luckily, they both manage to get on rather well; mostly because she's friends with Bella and also because Val takes endless entertainment in the way she gets Seb's ass handed to him on the daily.
--
val has mad respect for her. he thinks she's fierce af and finds it increasingly hilarious how someone so freaking tiny can beat the living shit out of someone like seb. they get on well, surprisingly, which is good bc u ain't never gon want to see val vs. aivree (even if its bound to be epic compared to val and bella's fights).
█ ▌ B E L L A D O N N A .
Before Hogwarts, before the lycanthropy, before the war, there is only Valerius and Belladonna. While sometimes verging on tempestuous and even volatile, their relationship is one that is ultimately rooted in the kind of love that can weather even the harshest of hurricanes. Bella is precious to him in the way that nothing else will ever be, and there is very little—if anything at all—that he wouldn't do to protect her. --
bella is family ok. val loves her more than anything in this world and tbh he'd probs 11/10 kill and even like, die for her if he has to (which he comes close to doing every full moon bc he always insists on staying with her whenever she 'turns'—even tho he only watches from the safety of his broom, 100s of feet up in the air where there's 0 possibility of her catching hold of him and tearing him limb from limb).
that being said, their relationship is def the complete and utter opposite of like, sunshine and rainbows or whatev. even tho val lets her get away with most things, he isn't above calling her out on her shit and vice versa, which can lead to epic showdowns literally anytime, anywhere. they're probs responsible for abt 99.9% of the scorch marks and broken furniture in the slytherin common room, so much so that its become a sort of tradition to conveniently forget to warn the first years about it just so they can experience firsthand the utter chaos that can come out of little things such as val getting bella the wrong book from the library or bella forgetting to save val some scones at breakfast. they fight so often that things like 'psycho bitch' become as much of an endearment as it is an insult. but even tho bella thinks its ok to cast an instant scalping hex at him, val still loves her and is careful not to let anyone step on her whenever he turns her into an insect in retaliation.
she also reminds him of his dead aunt bellatrix, which should 100% make him rethink their entire friendship bc tbh aunt bellatrix gives him the fucking creeps, not to mention she was an actual psycho bitch. but instead it just sort of weirdly endears him to her even more bc "omg she really IS family".
█ ▌ H A I L E Y
Unless she's ingratiated herself with Mila somehow, Val has absolutely no cause to love her.
She mostly registers in his radar as Bella's unfortunate roommate and Sebastian's favourite toy, and refers to her as 'the Muggle' out of habit (previously 'the mudblood', but that term has since been phased out of his vocabulary after the great Epiphany of 1995, in which he realised—after watching her fling some poor idiot across the room—that maybe what he'd been taught about muggleborns as a child wasn't so accurate after all). While he doesn't actively participate in her bullying, it's no secret at all that he finds her rather pathetic due to her lack of ability to stand up for herself. He might hold some regard for Hailey over her ability to hold her own against Bella when duelling, but it's completely offset by the fact that she still lets Bella lord over her outside the club. And don't think he can't see her attempting to discreetly switch corridors at the slightest whiff of Sebastian.
He also uses much of Hailey's academic achievements to taunt Sebastian ("Good to see the Muggle's earned back those house points you lost us, Sebby." or "Oh look, the Muggle marked higher than you. Again."), which, while proving that Val at least acknowledges her intelligence, may also lead to Sebastian loathing her even more.
--
so yas. she's basically one of the reasons val scrapped the whole 'purebloods r better than u' thing. and like i can see them becoming friends in the future or like, be on good terms or smth. esp if hailey befriends mila :> LOL NOPE.
█ ▌ K E I T H
"Bella, I met a boy..."
Keith. The delightful thorn on his side. He's everything Val hates contained in one inconveniently attractive package. Nothing about him makes sense. Nothing about Val's feelings for him makes sense, and yet he still catches his eyes searching for a glimpse of him in crowded hallways, ears straining for the slightest echo of a laugh—and he hates it. Sebastian is logical; wealthy and powerful and pure, and everything Keith isn't with his easy smile and his ragtag group of friends wreaking havoc wherever they go.
Val has absolutely no cause to want to do anything with him, but every time Keith wriggles his way into his personal space, armed with cheesy one liners and eyes that shine like fucking stars—Val suddenly finds himself completely unable to refuse. He tries, Merlin he tries. Yelling, threats of hexes, actual hexes, but no matter what he does, the thrice-damned idiot still manages to find his way back to him anyway.
He's long since accepted that getting rid of Keith Anderson is practically impossible. That, however, doesn't make being around him any easier. And if Val were to choose, he'd honestly rather be rid of him forever.
--
ah. dat boi. when val first meets him, he immediately comes running to bella because 'HOLY FUCKING SHIT BELLS I'VE JUST MET THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BOY.' for days and days afterwards all he can think of is the excitement of meeting this boy again.
he does.
he calls him beautiful.
val instantly hates him for it.
thus begins the worst one sided love affair val's ever had ever or so he thinks bc on the one hand, keith's hot as fuck but he's also loud and annoying with no respect for a little thing called 'boundaries'. val shouldn't like him. val shouldn't think he's funny instead of loud. val shouldn't think he's endearing instead of annoying. but he does. and it's all so fucking frustrating sometimes it makes him want to cry (he takes it out on the common room instead obvs. or whichever poor soul happens to be within the vicinity).
there's no denying that val's 11/10 in love with keith, but he feels keith's just playing w him 99% of the time bc keith flirts with everyone so val thinks the chances of keith returning his feelings is zero to none hush bby u've never been so wrong. the fact that val's also in love with seb adds a whole nother layer of complications to p much everything and u can tell this is gon be the salt fest to end all salt fests so if ur reading this, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
█ ▌ K I L L I A N .
'Oliver's Weird American Friend Who's Actually German'. Or something. Val isn't so sure. All he knows is that he's supposedly from the vastly inferior wizarding school across the pond and that he's Oliver's new best friend. In fact, most of Val and Killian's interactions involve Oliver somehow. They don't really associate with one another beyond that, but from what Val's gathered from their admittedly limited exchanges, Killian's a nice enough boy. A tad on the stranger side but then again, he wouldn't expect Oliver to pick someone normal for a best friend. He's insanely intelligent though, and Val's benefited once or twice from his vast knowledge on potion-making.
--
ok so val's first impression of him is actually this: *walks into library* *sees olly w new boy* *HEART EYES MOTHERFUCKER*. but then said boy turns his soulless bland gaze onto him and it quickly degenerates into 'ok he cute but he weird as hell'.
he and killian probs dont rly talk, and if they do, it'll just be abt school or oliver or smth. val will totes be cool with it tho if killian decides to tag along on val and olly's study sessions, and would probably ask him for help with potions because val's so shit at it (the fumes do ungodly things to his hair so he doesn't even bother for the most part).
█ ▌ M I L A
They met at a party when they were kids. Val was only seven then—going solo with neither Bella or Sebastian in sight—when he saw her; lingering in a corner, all by her lonesome. To this day, he still isn't sure what prompted him to grab her hand (impulse? a surge of affection? veela blood?), but he did, and he hasn't let go of it since.
He treats Mila like the little sister he never had, even though they're only weeks apart in age (Val was born on the 11th of August, Mila on the 29th). As such, he's very protective over her, but not enough to smother her. He's not the type to dissuade potential lovers, but he will do his fair share of threatening, just like any good brother should.
--
val loves her. val picks his family and mila is part of it. this means he won't hesitate to beat the shit out of whoever harms a hair on her beautiful gorgeous head and u can bet he will enjoy it. val being so close with mila also automatically grants her immunity from any and all slytherin shenanigans, bc val has put the fear of god into the entire slytherin house and everybody knows whomever double crosses him will end up next weeks scorch mark in the common room couch.
he also highkey thinks no boy is good enough for her so if ur planning anything, ur ded. :>
█ ▌ O L I V E R
Val has never been so thankful of his laziness until Oliver came around. He's intelligent enough on his own, yes, but sitting around listening to professors drone on and on about things he can get off a textbook just isn't his style, ergo he ends up skipping class more often than not and consequently misses out on a lot of things considered especially vital (aka assignments, project announcements, etc.). He needs someone to keep his academics in check, and since Bella is a horrible teacher (Sebastian even more so), it's usually up to Oliver to make sure Val doesn't flunk out of whatever subject he deigns unworthy of his presence (History of Magic, mostly). It helps that Oliver is also hotter than a thousand suns, and Val may or may not have discreetly disorganized his entire dorm room on purpose once or twice just so he'd have an excuse to watch Oliver flit about, trying to fix it.
--
oliver makes studying sexy & val has a bit of a crush lol. also, if oliver needs anything (like rare books or exotic ingredients for potions or whatever), know that val can probs get it for him in an instant. small price to pay for all the shit oliver does for him really not just bc val thinks he's cute or whatever
█ ▌ P E N E L O P E
Val is grateful for her, though neither she nor anyone else is aware of the fact. She's not that bad of a person really, and she takes care of Mila whenever he can't. That, and she was also there for Bella and offered her the friendship she needed to get her life back on track after her family disowned her. It's no secret that Val sees Mila and Bella as his family, so the fact that Penelope's done so much for both of them instantly puts her in Val's good books.
He's also a very big fan or reciprocity—help me, and I'll help you. Help my family, and I'll help yours. So if the Hottle family's Gringotts account suddenly grows by a couple hundred galleons after what happened to Mrs. Hottle, well. Nobody has to know. Not even Penelope herself.
--
he also highkey ships pene and bella bc honestly val out-gays everyone in this rp but even he can see that pene and bella getting together would be the single hottest thing in the universe (after him and keith). and since she's w bella so often, i can def see her and val starting to hang out by default. it might take him a while to get used to the muttering tho but all will be forgiven if she shares her sugar quills ;>
█ ▌ P H Y R U N
Before he and Oliver became acquainted, Val only knew Phyrun as that blond boy in his year that Sebastian liked to pick on from time to time. Now though, he just knows him as another one of Oliver's friends. Like Killian, most of their interactions involve Oliver, but unlike Killian, Val at least doesn't think Phyrun's weird. Insanely smart, yes—as is the norm for Ravenclaws—but definitely a lot more, shall we say, normal compared to the rest of his friends.
--
val doesn't really know much about phyrun—other than the fact that he has a cool-ass name and is cute as hell—but he always makes an effort to be nice to him bc he's olly's friend. and just like killian, he wouldn't mind phyrun tagging along to his and olly's study sessions either. the possibility of val and phyrun being friends is a lot greater than val and killian tho. he just seems more approachable i guess, and wouldn't give val the mild creeps the way killian does.
also i just noticed that they have a bunch of similarities: 1. both are 5'7" aka smol & cute and 2. they're both leo's!! it's adorable.
█ ▌ Q U I N N
She's Gryffindor personified—literally Female Keith without the added benefit of being hot (to Val, at least). He should by all means hate her, but he mostly just tolerates her because she's Mila's friend. However, he isn't above Expressing his Annoyance™ (read: hexes, jinxes, and—on one occasion—running around the castle with bright pink hair screaming "I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU, MONROE.") whenever he finds himself tangled in or the unfortunate target of any of her and Keith's infernal pranks.
--
quinn is a bean, if beans came in bright pink. also the jumping kind. i love her but i'm not responsible abt what may or may not end up happening to her if she or keith messes w val's hair again lol.
█ ▌ S E B A S T I A N
Val and Bella makes two, and baby Sebastian makes three. Such is the Silver Trio™, born out of a younger Val's affinity for picking up strays at fancy pureblood parties and steering them away from cousin Draco's clutches. They've been together for so long that Val can't even remember a time without either of them by his side, but, if he treats Bella like a sister, Sebastian is a little more...complicated.
He doesn't want to call it love, but the feeling is there. Deep in his bones. Settling at the pit of his stomach. And he can't do anything about it. Not even a single word, because they're friends for fuck's sake. Family. And he sees the way Sebastian looks at other people, and those winks—those fucking winks. Sebastian just has too much going on, and Val? Val can't handle the thought of rejection.
So for now, he'll keep his mouth shut, tamp those traitorous feelings, and play the friend. Ten years is far too valuable to throw away for the sake of something as stupid as a crush.
--
they meet at uncle lucius' party. val is six or so and seb is this weird new kid from germany. val (being val) relentlessly pokes fun at his accent, but he sits with him the whole night and even takes his hands and leads him away when he spots cousin draco and his friends on the prowl for fresh meat. he introduces seb to bella the next time they meet. things progress rather alarmingly quick from then on, and thus the Silver Trio™ is born! something val is endlessly grateful for bc val is salty and hates everyone but he's also 99.9% scared shitless of being alone. so he latches on to ppl, and when he does, he does so hard. seb is one of these ppl (bella #1 obvs, and mila too).
this gives val a reason to tolerate seb's whole 'dark arts is lyf' thing like he does with bella. bc u know. they're friends. also val's house is gigantic and filled with all sorts of dark artifacts that are fun but also v dangerous. val lets seb and bella play with them anyway bc it's hilarious.
sebastian is also one of the reasons val likes boys.
i mean, how do u hang out with a boy like seb and not realize he's totes gorg??? val notices embarrassingly late tho, and by that time, seb's already out and about, armed with those goddamn winks. val doesn't say anything bc he's terrified he'll get rejected. and also because he's an emotionally constipated lil shit who takes out his feelings on inanimate objects and other ppl instead of dealing with them.
if seb were to somehow make the first move tho, know that val will 11/10 fall willingly into his arms and never ever leave. ever. this is probably a lie but who knows
Val
Val treats her more like a sister than her own brother ever did, she's incredibly fond of him, perhaps even 'loves' him in a sibling sort of way. They met when they were only children, and while she never quite joined his 'group' (especially as when they got to Hogwarts they ended up in opposite houses), she likes to think that they're still close. He's one of the few people she trusts completely and following the events of the Battle she may end up relying on him a whole lot more than usual. The protection that comes fro, being his friend is pretty useful too.
Penelope
Penelope is in Mila's house and they've always gotten along. There's no question as to who Mila's partner will be in Potions because she always goes straight for Penelope; she finds the other girl to be great company and really likes her. If she was going to state her best girlfriend, Penelope certainly falls into that category. There was a time when they were younger that Mila wondered if maybe she liked Penelope more than just a friend but over the years she's pushed that down-- she's straight, anyway, right? Penelope is definitely one of Mila's favourites.
Killian
Killian shares Mila's interest in potions and healing, which naturally pushes him up in her list of friends. At first she felt a little nervous about his intentions but when she realised that he was interested in her because of her blood status and such, she relaxed a lot. She likes spending time with him and admires him quite a lot, always ready to listen to what he has to say because she thinks he's very intelligent.
Keith
Keith is sweet, that's for sure. Mila considers him to be a friend, not much more than that at present but perhaps they could grow closer throughout the year. She will probably spend more time with him as he and Val become closer because she liked both of them and thinks it'd be great to hang out with them both at once.
Hailey
Hailey hasn't been a major feature in Mila's school life yet because they simply haven't talked much before. In fact, Mila can't recall whether or not they've even officially met. Still, she would like to befriend Hailey because the girl seems so nice and she's heard that she's kind. Besides, the Muggle world intrigues her.
Belladonna
Bella has always confused Mila. On one hand, she's friend with Val so surely she must be nice every now and then, but at the same time she seems to share the ideas of pure blood supremacy that Mila's father and brother do. They aren't close yet but in time they might get onto friendly terms, if they get past the whole blood thing.
Aivree
Aivree is in a few of Mila's classes and they get along thanks to shared interests, so perhaps they could be called friends even though she isn't an s close to Aivree as she is to Penelope.
Phyrun
Phyrun is in Mila's year at school but they've never really spoken, and she doesn't feel strongly either way about him.
Oliver
Oliver seems to act strangely around Mila which leads her to worry that she might have done something to upset him. The more he avoids her, the more she tries to talk to him in an attempt to figure out the reason he seems to feel uncomfortable around her-- it never occurred to her that it might simply be her Veela blood. Apart from that, she's just another person that she vaguely knows but isn't too close with.
Sebastian
Sebastian is a friend of Val's which automatically makes Mila like him, but over time she has come to realise that her affection could perhaps run a little deeper. It's a shame really, that out of all the people she could harbour secret feelings for she had to pick the one who either barely knows she exists or doesn't really care that she does. She thinks he's attractive and will go out of her way to be nice to him but she currently doesn't get the vibe that he's too bothered about her. He's one of those people who could manipulate her with a look.
Sebastian
It looks like they both have incredibly strong beliefs. Unfortunately, those beliefs are absolute opposites, so I don't see them getting along at all. Penelope would find him attractive, but once he opens his mouth that attraction would be replaced by a deep dislike. What a shame. She'd boo him any time he gets on the quidditch field.
Keith
She's friendly, he's friendly; it makes sense that they'd know each other and be on decent terms. However, she'd be incredibly annoyed if he called her Pene. I don't know that they'd be bffs or anything like that, but a bit more than acquaintances seems like a good fit. She doesn't really mind the how touchy-feely he is. She'd cheer for him in quidditch, as long as he wasn't playing against her team and she'd have mostly good things to say about him.
Belladonna
Let's be honest, I'm only here for gay girls.
Did someone say something? I sure didn't. Penelope is incredibly happy that Bella's changed her ways. She now enjoys being around the girl and is happy to have her friendship. She might be a bit oblivious to Bella's crush, often dismissing romantic things as platonic things. Because she's comfortable around the Slytherin, she likes teasing and making physical contact and can come off as flirty without realizing it. Penelope loves flying whereas Bella has a fear of heights; I could see Penelope trying to help Bella getting over that fear. She wouldn't be opposed to this friendship developing into something more, but she'd be too scared to initiate it for fear of losing the friendship.
[[oh isnt it funny that pen has a fear of dogs and bella's a werewolf hahahahhahaha ]]
Oliver
oh my god you changed ur fc to dane dehaan and i had a heart attack. i'm in l o v e.
Penelope would probably have tried to talk to him a few times because she's very friendly, but I don't know if they would hit it off. She's very go-with-the-flow and he seems very go-with-the-plan. She wouldn't have anything against him; it's not like he's a die hard death eater like someone coughsebastiancough. They just have very different personalities, but they might balance each other out if they were friends? Up to you, pal.
Quinn
She's very cute; that would be the first thing Penelope would notice about her. But Pen wouldn't bother pursuing it because the girl seems to have her heart set on something, or rather someone, else. That wouldn't keep her from trying to stay on good terms with the bubblegum-haired beauty.
Phyrun
A lot of Pen's behavior is based on emotions, so dealing with someone so calm causes some cognitive dissonance. She's not an idiot, but she's sure not a genius, so he would kind of intimidate her.
Val
He's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pretty. So pretty. So p r e t t y. That's kind of all Penelope can really think of when she see's the kid. She's just a sucker for pretty people. She's not like romantically interested in him in a serious way, but in the way that everyone's romantically interested in celebrities. She really knows him mostly through other people like Belladonna or Keith and not directly. If they became friends, the whole pretty thing would wear off.
Killian
He's doing incredibly well in potions class and Penelope is doing incredibly poorly in potions class. He's very serious and Penelope likes keeping things lighthearted. I don't know if them talking would go incredibly well. However, he'd have her full respect for excelling in something she does poorly as well as being good at combat dueling, along with the fact that he seems like a generally decent person.
Hailey
Penelope had always been curious about Hailey. A very smart muggleborn in Slytherin? It was a little odd. Along with that curiosity, the girl's anti-social behavior strikes Pen as a sort of challenge. She continuously tries to hold conversations with Hailey, even if it annoys the Slytherin.
Mila
Mila, the only other Hufflepuff! At first, Penelope was interested in her because of how strikingly gorgeous the girl was. However, she started getting to know the girl and the initial interest dissipated not only because the girl was straight, but also because because she found the girl's personality to be a perfect one for a good friend. She absolutely loves Mila. She's deeply loyal to the girl. She may or may not constantly copy Mila's potions homework and loves being her partner (read: person who sits next to Mila and talks to her while Mila does the work) in potions class. She gets along with the pretty girl very well and will fight anyone who dares mess with her friend.
Aivree Lanzone
Penelope's all for a fiesty girl who's not afraid to throw a punch. I'd like to think they could be friends? Sure, Aivree isn't incredibly sociable, but I think Pen can make up for that with her 'doesn't know when to take a hint and stop' sociability. She has a knack for wearing people down, but she likes to call it 'determination'. They both have a tendency to act before they think, so I think they might be able to relate to each other a tiny bit.
Sebastian Blutmond
"I know he isn't very well liked; in fact you might even say 'hated'- but I'm still unsure of how to consider him. I know we've talked before though, and we'll likely talk again."
• • • Sebastian is someone he'd for now consider an acquaintance - Oliver's still wary of him, & definitely wouldn't trust him with something important; he knows that Sebastian is fairly popular for being an 'arrogant snake', and that among most of their peers, he's not exactly well liked (not that Seb being hated really has much influence over Oliver's opinion much). He hasn't done anything in particular to make Oliver particularly hate him, but also nothing in particular that makes Oliver want to go out of his way to befriend him. He's pretty much just very on the fence about him, & because of that, he's a bit more watchful of Sebastian. They aren't friends, but also not enemies & I have a feeling in the future, Oliver will sort of think that they have like a rival thing going on - like he'll think that they're both keeping an eye one each other or something - but really, Sebastian will have no clue. he'd be like, 'Who is this blonde dude again lol~' But yeah, this acquaintance-competition thing if definitely one-sided on Oliver's part.
Keith Anderson
"I know that when Keith pulls me aside to talk, there's a seventy five percent chance that he's up to something - something that's usually reckless, sometimes stupid, but uh... most of the time fairly interesting, if that's not shameful to admit."
• • • Him & Keith are pretty good friends; which is weird, cause Oliver's first impression of him was not a good one. (Involved Keith magically placing spaghetti on his head, & a very terrible nick-name) But somehow they've grown to be friends, & surprisingly Oliver has had a small hand in a few of Keith's recent... adventures. In a way, he feels sort of 'special' that he's someone that Keith goes to when he's in need of strategy, tips, or some common sense - Oliver also knows that he should feel unsettled when Keith & his friends are hyped up over 'something', because usually that 'something' isn't safe, smart, or sanitary. He probably owes Keith more than a few butter-beers, mostly cause last year he made the mistake of saying, 'Why are your test scores so terrible? Honestly, for every test that you can actually ace, meaning 100% - I'll buy you one of those diabetetic-inducing butter-beers.' & well, Keith's kinda held him to his word & now Oliver owes him more butter-beers then he thought he would, which will probably give Keith diabetes one day. But yeah, as buds the two sorta balance each other out, cause Keith does help him loosen up a lil bit, & in return Oliver helps to tighten him up. (*and yeah, Oliver would probs draw a map for Keith & his friends, but it would likely take him a good few hours or more, 'cause he'd have to make every line & dot super perfect & everything would have to be color-coded & labeled to a tee & he'd likely re-make it twice ) Whether he's writing an college essay, tutoring someone, or helping teenagers break-and-enter into places, he still makes sure to do it w/ perfectionism & tediousness.
Belladonna Coben
"I respect her. I don't know all the details of her past, but I know she's been through a lot, deals with a lot, and strives for a lot... Bella gives off a very 'queen-like' essence, I've noticed & I'm sure lots of other people do as well... And she even resembles a Queen in a way, which is also a bit captivating - But uh, yes - I'd consider her a friend."
• • • Bella is someone he considers a very respected peer & for some reason, he finds himself seeking her approval all the time, and has no clue why - (he may or may not have a teeny tiny 'please approve of me & think I'm worthy, sempai ' complex revolving around her lol) He considers them friends, but he doesn't act much like himself (like he does w/ his other buddies) - probably because he sorta feels like Bella's on a level that's higher than most students at his school, even himself - most likely due to the way she carries herself. But yeah, I was thinking that maybe they study together sometimes, & he'll make sure to nod or say hello to her when he see's her. Bella's also one of the few people that he hardly ever critiques, mostly cause he respects her a lot more than most of his peers (& has a difficult time finding things wrong w/ her, or things worth criticizing her for lol) She's someone who he looks up to in a way & finds himself feeling more self-assured knowing that he's on her good side. He thinks she's super smart, & could probably one day become Queen of England if she wanted to (or the Minister of Magic) Oliver would certainly support her either way. They're friends, but on Oliver's side, he doesn't feel like he's fully himself around her - mostly cause he respects her too much to do that lol
Penelope Anne Hottle
"She's tried to talk to me a few times, and I'm not really sure why - I don't completely mean that in a rude way, but she's very scatter brained and sort of 'all-over-the-place'... Still relatively smart, from what I've picked up; I mean, she knows a few languages, which is one slightly impressive thing I've learned about her."
• • • I think that they could develop a friendship in the future, but as of now - Oliver probs just see's her as just another face (a very talkative face). She's never gone out of her way to do something bad to Oliver, so he gives her points for that; but he'll likely say things to her like, 'Sucking on sugar quills like that all the time is going to give you cavities, Penelope.' and will probs notice her tendency to space out all the time. But yeah, I see them being acquaintances & then possibly friends later on. But for now, he doesn't think much of her. (Maybe she'd need a potions tutor? 'cause I read that Penelope is kinda terrible when it comes to potions class - Oliver likes showing other people he's smart, so he'd definitely help her w/ her studies, if she ever brought it up.) ((She could pay him w/ chocolate frog cards, if she doesn't tell anyone about it lol.))
Quinn Monroe
"She's a very difficult person to be partnered up with for projects - so if possible, avoid partnering up with her is you don't want to be annoyed to death. Also avoid being around in her, just in general, if you don't want to be annoyed to death... & especially if you don't enjoy the color pink."
• • • Being in the same year, they've had classes together - a few of which they were unfortunately assigned partners for projects; & I say 'unfortunate' cause he was constantly butting heads w/ Quinn & getting distracted by her sporadic blunders. When he wanted to write for the project - she wouldn't let him, 'cause he accidentally made her mad by saying that she needed to work on her handwriting & that is was 'un-legible & sort of ugly'... & when Quinn wanted to just hurry up & speed through the project without planning or structuring anything, Oliver would start on a rant about why planning was essential for getting good grades... & during their presentations they would basically bicker over who would get to explain what. Basically I see them as enemies in a sort of siblings way - but not like the cute buddy-buddy siblings, more like the 'I really don't like you' sorta siblings. Like when he sat next to her, she hogged the desk & he kept pushing her supplies back onto her side - & he probs wouldn't study with her (actually definitely wouldn't ever study w/ her), but he assumes she isn't so bad in a stress-free environment - But yeah, I could see them still butting heads, especially if they're ever paired up for an assignment together again... But maybe in the future, they'll be able to tolerate each other a lil more, especially if they're not working on school projects or assignments together.
(Also if you aren't feeling this relation or want me to change something, please lemme know~)
Phyrun Dalca
"Have you ever seen inside one of those note-books he always carries around? It's almost as if you're looking at something Leonardo Da Vinci would whip up himself. I keep telling him he needs to get them published and sold in every wizarding book store around."
• • • I was thinking that Phyrun & Oliver would start off as pretty good friends, 'cause they have lots in common - their house, their study habits, etc. Like if Oliver ever does need help understanding something he learned in class (which is rare) Phyrun would be a person he'd feel pretty comfortable openly asking for help w/ an assignment (& possibly Killian in the future - but even asking him will probs be embarrassing for Oliver.) He's also gotten a peek at one of Phyrun's notebooks, & when he did, his opinion of him changed a bit - Basically, he thinks Phyrun's really smart, fairly kind, and is really good at art (which just isn't fair if you ask Oliver). When he eats lunch at the Ravenclaw table, Phyrun's likely someone he sits with on a daily basis. He values Phyrun's words (to an extent) & Oliver usually notices when he's feeling uncomfortable or upset. (Cause Phyrun is pretty 'keeps to himself' about his thoughts, from what I've read). Oliver is likely more in tune w/ Phyrun's mannerisms then most people. They probs study together & hang out in the Ravenclaw common room together sometimes n stuff - they're usually pretty chilled out & mellow (Phyrun isn't exactly a blast to be around, but neither is Oliver, so it works) So I guess he views him as sorta a 'friend / mentor' that he's lil nicer to than most people... but is also still a lil bit (very) jealous of him.... But Oliver will definitely go out of his way to make sure people aren't taking advantage of Phyrun's intelligence & kinder nature - like if someone's trying to pay him to do their homework or something, but Phyrun's being too nice to tell them no, Oliver will have no problem sticking up for him - 'There is an entire table of Ravenclaws to ask; so stop pestering Phyrun about paying him to do your homework for you. If you bug him about it again, I'll tell every Ravenclaw not to help you with your homework for the rest of the year... In fact, having someone complete it for you doesn't teach you anything anyways - so go try studying instead.'
Valarius Rosier
"Valarius is prone to procrastination; that I know because I've helped him finish a few projects the day before they were due. I've tried telling him about this thing called 'planning ahead' but I'm not so sure he listened very well; but it's a new year, so maybe he's picked up better habits..."
• • • They probs know each other through Belladonna, or something like that & since Val is serious procrastinator, Oliver has helped him out a few times in the previous year w/ a project or two, that Val's accidentally held off finishing til the night before it was due. Oliver knows Valarius is pretty smart, but he thinks he just doesn't apply himself like he should, & that he's not using all of his potential, & yadda yadda - the whole nerdy school councellor spewl that Oliver will likely repeat over and over. When he first met Val, Oliver was pretty intimidated by his looks - like he completely avoided eye-contact w/ Val & sorta did what he's doing w/ Mila , (except not quite as intensely lol) ((He was honestly questioning if Val was part-veela or something, like Mila is) BUT once he got to know him a lil more (& realized he wasn't veela related at all), he got over it & can now disregard his look with no problemo (& can also now fully look him in the eyes now w/ no awkwardness lol~) But he'll likely help out Val with homework often, or help him organize his notes or something - usually whatever Bella & Val suggest. But I imagine them studying one day or something, & Val would be spacing out & 'watching a cute boy' on the other side of the library or something, & Oliver would notice and whisper to him something like 'I bet if you stared at that book for as long as you've been staring at that guy, you'd already be half-way finished with it by now, Val.' In the future, I definitely think they could become pretty good friends.
Killian Falkenhausten
"He looks like he could kill you, but in actuality, he wants to save you... An example of walking irony."
• • • They're in the same year & same house, so I'm thinking he is going to be one of Oliver's pretty good friends - like ya said. For some reason, I'm sorta imagining that he sits across from Oliver at the Ravenclaw table, & Oliver would say something like: 'Well, you look like you could be a serial killer.' & then Killian would reply something like, 'And you look like you have a mental problem.' & that's how they meet and from then on - they'll been sitting next to each other, basically bff's for the rest of their school days. (*let's be friends* / *best friends* sorta situation) They'll probably nit-pick on each other a lot, sometimes as a joke, other times because they're serious. I also imagine they'll get in a few little small friend arguments, but not like serious arguments or anything - just like debating over trivial stuff, for fun. (At lunch, Oliver will probs criticize him for avoiding vegetables or something & Killian will criticize him back for eating his food in alphabetical order like an ocd weirdo) But yea, I think they'll be good friends. (Oliver isn't as intense as Killian, in some aspects - so one day he'll likely end up explaining to certain people that Killian isn't that creepy, just a little creepy - & it's in the good kinda way) Actually they'll be ~~ Ravenclaw Bff''s ~~ on day; I can feel it.
Hailey Winters
"She's in the library more then I am, which is weird... And she wears gloves all the time, and I can't tell if that's a strange thing or a genius thing to do."
• • • I'm thinking relatively friendly acquaintances - the only place he's ever really talked to her was probs in the library & the few times they did talk, it was about something intellectual (which is just fine w/ him, actually.) He's pretty sure he's had a few classes w/ her though. He thinks she's pretty smart, since he often see's her studying - but I think it'd be funny if one day she was in the library reading, & he noticed her folding corner pages in books or something (his ocd would kick in) & he'd be like - 'Haley, why are you wrinkling those books?' then he'd come sit at her table to explain to her why folding book pages is unnecessary & made the book wear out faster - but he'd probs realize he's being kinda mean, (& he'll secretly feel a lil bit bad) so he'd give her a few of his own color-coated book marks to temporarily use instead. (I dunno, I see a scenerio similar to that playing out though) I see them becoming friends & him mother-henning her in the future, like 'Why do you keep climbing trees when all you do is fall out of them? I think you should wear a helmet next time you decide to climb trees...' & I can see him looking out for her n stuff. Also when they do notes-exchange, he will likely offer to re-organize her notes (not because he wants to help, but because he needs to lol)
Mila Sutherland
"Mila is... uh - a Hufflepuff, I'm fairly certain... I don't have much to say about her, really."
• • • Haaah, so - Mila is someone he doesn't like being around, but only because he finds himself acting really awkward & not himself. He isn't usually one to be swayed by the looks of others, but Mila (most likely cause she's half-villa) is an exception - During times when they could've spoken, he likely found a reason to walk away & avoid her eye contact. (He avoids eye contact w/ overly attractive people lol) To her, he probs comes off kinda weird & awkward - & he feels a lil tiny bit embarrassed about that. Like one time she bumped into him & some of his books fell, & he was starting to say something like, 'Please be careful where you're walking, I could've been holding something delicate -' & then he looked up and realized it was Mila Sutherland who bumped into him & instead said 'Ah - it's uh, it's okay. I sort of ran into you, so um... I'll be careful; uh, more careful than I am normally, I mean.' & then uncomfortably power-walked away while pointedly glaring at nothing. So yeah, her being half-vila definitely affects him, & he definitely doesn't like it, which is why he avoids her - her looks alone make him do out-of-character things that he doesn't like, at all. He likes people for their personality/skills, and not for their looks - which is why he doesn't like Mila. (A bit hypocritical actually lol) But basically, he doesn't know much, other then she's half-veela, (which is blatantly obvious) & he probs doesn't wouldn't go out of his way to learn much else. So I guess they're sorta (barely) acquaintances.
Aivree Lanzone
"She's fairly intimidating for someone so small, but that sort of makes sense for a Gryffindor."
• • • They're probs not that close - distant acquaintances at least. They're in different grades & Houses & have different interests (like she can punch people hard, & he can't.) If he ever did talk to her or something, he'd say annoying stuff like, 'Why do you draw on your hand with ink? Do you not realize you could get ink-poisoning?' (cause her bio says she doodles on hers a lot lol) & 'Who was even willing to tattoo you? Aren't you sixteen...?' The photographic memory thing of hers is something that he'd be totally curious of & super duper envious of. He probs wouldn't believe her at first, & would likely challenge her to prove it. But yeah, I don't really see them being friends or anything right in the beginning, cause I doubt in their previous years they've had much contact with each other - other than the contact they have through Keith; but if he doesn't completely annoy Aivree w/ his 'buzz-kill' sorta vibe, then they'll probably be friends, eventually (but for now, very distant acquaintances - like they probs don't even know each other's last names.)
Keith Anderson
“Troublemakers aren't good for my health. There currently isn't a potion for warding against this kind of individual, but you bet I'm gonna find a way to create one for sure.”
At first glance, Killian’s first impression of Keith would be that the older student is one of those social butterflies, the complete opposite of Killian. His opinion on Keith would remain neutral. He wouldn’t go out of his way to talk to Keith, but will reply if a conversation was ever started between the two of them, speaking in short, concise sentences due to being complete strangers.
However, as time goes on, Killian will begin to develop an avoidance towards Keith not because he personally holds a grudge against the guy’s history or personality, but because he doesn't bother to associate himself with people he doesn’t explicitly trust, and the both of them don't really share any hobbies or likes in common. And being the sort of person who wants to fade into the background, Keith’s tendency to cause trouble wherever he goes makes Killian wants as little to do with him as possible, lest he gets dragged along for the ride. Killian would help Keith if absolutely necessary, but will hold it over his head or use it as blackmail material for the future, mainly to get Keith to either stay away or at least not get into (much) trouble when Killian is around.
Quinn Monroe
“Are you sure Keith isn’t her sibling? Or half-sibling, at least? Could I have a little of both their blood? Just to make sure, you know.” Quinn’s personality and behavioural pattern is rather similar to Keith’s, and thus Killian’s first impression of her wouldn’t be much different. Her dyed-pink hair would definitely catch his attention first, but he wouldn’t approach her voluntarily.
In the future, however, he might still keep a fairly neutral stance with Quinn as she is might/would not touch him, and she at least proves to be rather intelligent. They might not have much in common, but she is more tolerable than Keith, even if she is still a prankster if only because she doesn't get into as much trouble (maybe?). Same deal with helping Keith. Possible blackmail materials are always welcomed.
Belladonna Coben
“Now if only I could bottle up that incredible acting skills and manipulative streak...oh well, I’ll settle on taking samples from your other self, if that’s at all possible...”
This girl’s eccentric. There’s no denying it, and Killian loves his puzzles. Her mysterious nature and multi-façade would make him pay more attention to observing her and noting her quirks, especially her seemingly nervous ticks. A person’s body language and gestures do tell more than what comes out of their mouths, after all.
As time progresses, he would respect her for sharing a few qualities with him. A knack for manipulating people, a skilled duellist and liking potions. She is also loyal to those she likes and that is something he can appreciate. With her own skewed view on what’s right and wrong, she probably wouldn’t criticize him on his morals, and may even appreciate the length he is willing to go to achieve something. He wouldn’t mind helping her if need be, but of course, only if there is mutual benefit. She might be a possible ally, even if he finds out that she is a werewolf. In the event that ever happens, he will be more wary of her, but fascination in what she can provide will increase.
Sebastian Bluntmond
“Just when I meet another fellow German, he turned out to be a prick – intentional or not is another matter altogether.”
Although Killian’s first impression would be interest regarding Sebastian’s status as a member of an old Germany magical Family, Sebastian’s attitude of superiority (if displayed blatantly during their first meeting) would definitely rub Killian the wrong way, killing any chances of them getting to know each other. Killian has always harboured a dislike for those who thinks or feels they are superior to someone else, and thus will have the urge to prove himself to the guy in any way he can. His mischievous and bossy nature is the final nail on the coffin. Killian would much rather hang out with Keith than Sebastian any day.
Future relationship? More like complete lack thereof. Killian wants absolutely nothing to do with that guy unless he gets rid of the superior attitude. He would gather as much blackmail material as he possibly can on this guy and will walk the other way if he sees Sebastian in need of assistance. If he could get Sebastian on an operating table, he would gladly seize the chance to meddle with his brain, if only to see if it is at all possible to get rid of is small-mindedness.
(This is all subjective. If Sebastian does not display superiority in the initial meeting, Killian will not be immediately hostile, and the relationship would be neutral. I thought I should say this because I don't know how Sebastian might act during their first interaction.)
Valerius Rosier
“Pretty and charming. There’s always a co-relation between these two qualities and he has them in spades.”
Another social butterfly and charismatic individual. Killian can play nice with Valerius if necessary, but will not exactly interact with him outside of these cases willingly.
They could be acquaintances, but Killian will walk the other way if Sebastian happens to be around him. The fact that they are not in the same house might put a dampner on any potential for them to interact, though.
Oliver Pollander
“If there is such a thing as platonic soulmates, I sincerely think he is mine. I would love to try cloning him, truly. Maybe try splicing a mini Oliver…hmm, the possibilities…”
Instant platonic interest and drive to befriend him. Not only is Oliver in Ravenclaw, in the same year and a very intelligent person, he proves a good person to compete against, academically, verbally and otherwise. Oliver’s seemingly intimidating persona wouldn’t be a deterrent to Killian, seeing as he himself is rather serious. His perfectionist and orderly side appeals to Killian, as does his determination in his studies and striving to prove others wrong.
There is a very strong potential for Oliver and Killian to be friends, best friends, even, as long as Oliver does not recoil from Killian’s more immoral tendencies and quirks. They are both ambitious, studious and sarcastic, making for amusing interactions revolving around various topics. They have similar likes and dislikes, one of which is their sense of personal space.
Hailey
“I’m not completely heartless, and she’s like a lamb before a pack of wolves.” What made Killian take notice of Hailey is the fact that she is a little bit of a loner in Slytherin. With what little glimpses he has about the members of this House, it is that they are all rather sociable. Obviously, this girl’s a little odd one out, and he can sympathise with her situation. The fact that she looks like a lost little lamb – or a rabbit – with her meek and quiet demeanour causes him to pity her at first. Someone this blissfully kind will definitely be taken advantage of, and he does have a sense of kinship with her in that he has faced bullying before, when his choice of being a healer and going into duelling was at first laughable, until he proved himself more than capable.
There is a potential for them to be friends if she can look beneath the unfeeling and detached surface and see his ability to care about people he trusts. Once he sees that her personality is genuine, he wouldn’t have his guard up around her all that much, not seeing her as a potential threat and being able to relax more in her presence. Due to this, he wouldn’t focus so much on having blackmail materials on her, and is more willing to help her without wanting anything in return. Of course, the rocky part of their relationship will steam from his lack of base morals and her concern over it, but they would be able to bond over duelling and studies. It helps that he doesn’t care about blood-status, and in Ilvermorny, their houses were sorted differently, thus he wouldn’t judge her.
Penelope Hottle
“That chatterbox? Is her motor mouth a result of nature or nurture?”
Killian would probably notice her due to her relationship with Hailey, and first impressions would peg her as someone he should practice his utmost ability to fade when around. He doesn’t like to be bombarded with questions, but Penelope doesn’t seem malicious, so he wouldn’t mind her presence much, as long as it is in small doses. Luckily, she is in Hufflepuff.
Again, there is a potential for them to be acquaintances or friends by association as anyone who is not picking on or teasing Hailey is someone he can tolerate, if only for his friend’s sake. He can tune her chatter out and he does appreciate someone who has admirable skills and dedication towards their craft. Charms is also his strength, and he does value people with loyalty as well as those who hold their family close.
Mila Sutherland
“I would love to acquire a full autopsy and genetic makeup of that girl. Who knows what properties her various biological parts have? I mean veela hairs can be used as wand cores, so can her hair be used in potions?”
Being half-veela means that she would attract Killian’s gaze regardless. Demisexual he may be, but Killian can appreciate beauty. He wouldn’t be affected by her allure as much as the typical male would be and can turn his gaze away without trouble. Thus, he is able to observe her without his thoughts being compromised, something that he is inherently grateful for. Like with Hailey, her non-malicious intents do make him not see her as a potential threat, and his fascination for the biological make-up of half-human beings would make him want to interact with her as acquaintances.
If Mila does not shy away from Killian and his seemingly creepy fascination in wanting to collect small samples from her like blood and hair, they could be potential friends due to shared interest in potions and her wanting to be a healer. He would dearly love to tutor someone in his chosen art, and her cool under pressure makes the markings of a great healer.
Aivree Lanzone
“If cats were humans, no doubt she’ll be the queen.”
At first glance, Killian will peg Aivree as a delinquent, with her tattoos, tough demeanour and hard-ass attitude. He would put her on his list of people requiring further observation, and will not approach her until he feels he has a good enough reading. His overall first impression of her will remain neutral until such a time he sees her display an attribute that might make him like or dislike her.
Due to the two of them being not very social and keep to themselves, Killian might just go the entire year without even talking face-to-face with her. However, if they do ever become acquaintances, he can freely admit that he likes her headstrong nature. Not to mention, she is pretty smart in her own right. Her rather vivid imagination and creativity appeals to him, who appreciates these skills in that they lead to new discoveries and inventions.
Phyrun Dalca
"He is a mellower version of Oliver, but his logical reasoning is impressive. Given the opportunity, I would like to clone him and analyse his brain. It would be a wealth of information, truly.”
Killian would definitely be interested in Phyrun as well, probably on a lesser degree compared to Oliver, but no less fascinated by his brains due to his ability to be a social bookworm. He would be another person Killian can compete against academic wise, and Killian likes his knack of a one-minded focus which is basically a shared trait between them.
The both of them could be acquaintances of friends in the future as they would be seeing quite a bit of the other due to being in the same house and are studious. However, the deal-breaker would again be whether or not Phyrun’s big heart will allow him to associate with someone who doesn’t really care much about strangers, and is able to do ethically immoral things without batting an eye for the sake of his craft.
Killian Falkenhausten
For whatever reason, the younger Ravenclaw had managed to worm his way into a position of best friend, though Phyrun vocalizes why he puts up with Killian’s lack of morality when it comes to expanding knowledge quite often. It is meant as a teasing thing, seeing as Phyrun has no issue of doing things that are ethically immoral as long as they do not hinder his or his family’s standing. He’s not a goodie two shoes for a reason. Loki Odinson
Oliver Pollander
The only word Phyrun ever seems to be able to use with Oliver is endearing. The younger Ravenclaw is endearing and, while Phyrun finds himself affectionate to the taller Ravenclaw, he can’t help but find him a tad annoyed with the younger from time to time as he is with all that request his aid in studying but he finds he can tolerate Oliver a lot more than others.
Hailey Winters
Though a fifth year and a Slytherin, Phyrun finds that he quite enjoys Hailey’s company and intellect. He’s always interested to hear her thoughts on spell and creature theory. Though he’s not actively working towards it, he’s fairly certain she’s nearly level with Killian in the whole friendship ladder thing but the separation in house and her being a year younger has him logically placing her in the friends category (and is completely ignorant to any hints of a crush from her part seeing as he’s quite oblivious to how others are behaving towards him).
Quinn Monroe
Phyrun has had no need to expand his relations with her, seeing as she floats in a completely different social circle from him, as well as being a year under him. When he does interact with her, it is polite yet distant. He sees no need to expand their relations, yet.
Keith Anderson
Beyond finding the other attractive, Phyrun sees Keith as nothing more than a fellow sixth year due to not having attempted to strengthen their relationship into a friendship as he knows it has the potential to do.
Aivree Lanzone
Phyrun silently admires her from a distant, though it is a low level of admiration. Though, he could do without the company when he was working in his notebook in the library but at least she was quiet when she worked.
Mila Sutherland
Though they are in the same year, Phyrun actually has no opinion of the Hufflepuff.
Penelope Hottle
Phyrun finds himself annoyed with the Hufflepuff more than anything else but remains neutral seeing as he doesn’t know the fellow sixth year enough to actually have an opinion.
Belladonna Coben
He has not made an effort to know Belladonna beyond her name due to her relations with Valerius (though he’s not sure what their relation is and secretly fears what their relationship may actually be, seeing as he’s avoiding knowing more about Valerius beyond the other’s name).
Sebastian Blutmond
Beyond shear distain towards Sebastian when the other calls him short (honestly, the sixth year Slytherin was not much taller than him), he sees no real reason to interact with the Slytherin and does his best to remain civil even while he finds Sebastian’s behavior petty. Though, if the Slytherin pushes it, they could become enemies rather swiftly.
Val
The sixth year Slytherin has had Phyrun’s eye for the last year, at least, and Phyrun’s trying really hard to be ignorant of that fact. Phyrun is not blatant about his sexuality, though that wasn’t helped from living among the muggles, and he’s pretty certain his sister and Killian were the only two to know for certain that Phyrun was homosexual. Because of this, he never assumes anyone’s orientation, which leaves a mild fear of rejection and ridicule so he keeps his crush on Valerius squashed and their relationship nothing more than an acquaintance.
