Interested, though not sure what ideology to go with. Does the nation have a monarchist past? If so then perhaps a restoration of the monarchy sounds interesting to me.
I guess I'm interested, though the multidimensional-interdimensional aspect seems to complicate things unnecessarily, to be completely honest. It might be simpler to just say that it's an alternate Earth with different geography and different cultures/nations spread differently than our Earth...
Yeah and then there's battles, which I think will require a bit extra input from the relevant player(s) as parts are resolved. The main consideration is whether a player wants to continue the battle or whether they'll try to withdraw (retreat isn't guaranteed to be cohesive and easy!). It allows...
Quickly seeing if I can come up with a simple yet workable system for resolving battles. I'm using this dice roller:

Haven't really considered all modifiers yet, except a couple, but yeah. The whole thing is based a lot on percentages I guess...
Finally upped my population; 15+ million now instead of < 5 million, and based on a 1.5% figure, total military population will be up to 230,000. So I'm officially good to go.
Right. IMO months lends itself to intrigue, diplomacy, and politics well enough, as these things don't necessarily happen overnight (so to speak). Especially any ideological shifts or roads to War.
I would suggest 1 turn/post batch = 1 month. That's 12 turns per in-game year, so if we want some noticeable progression but don't want to fly through decades, it might be a good option. I was even going to suggest weeks, but that is probably too grind-y.
For resolving battles, I may be able to...
I'm practically ready, I just need to figure out a bit larger population for my country but that shouldn't hold us back. Same for small cultural details I'll make up just for fun (food, music, etc).
Last page there was the suggestion that everyone bump up their population--it might help to look at country populations in 1900 for an idea of what is feasible for the country you're going for. This isn't all of the entries but just a few for guidelines (and I'm rounding the numbers)
Over 200...
I think some sorts of relationships are in order between Shanowinn and Strassberg. Economically, Strassberg sounds like a good outlet for Owinn alcohol and tobacco (Shanowinn's a great influence on the world, eh?) imports. We'll take some recordings of the maiden songs and call it a deal if...
Just redid my flag! Any opinions?
EDIT: the coat of arms had a very drab grey rider, horse, and dragon in the original, and the central triskel swirl was black not red.
Hmm I was just thinking about population; I might increase Shanowinn's population if that's alright. The land size seems like it could take many more, and also most other nations seem to have like an exponentially larger population than Shanowinn at the moment lol.
Also for determining...
If anyone needs help/inspirations for uniforms from around this era, this Uniformology page/site can be useful. It's what I used.
RUHL-00
Prints were originally by a German Moritz Rühl, published between the 1890s-1942 according to the page; most prints cover uniforms between the 1880s-1914.
