Yeah, that's why I deliberately didn't make my character immortal despite how she could be. I have seen this circumvented with things like magical blocking shields and whatnot, but that could be hard to implement here.

Well it would go a way to explain it if he's spent seven years hanging around a ghost who believed in pure blood supremacy so much he stored an enormous snake in the school to kill all the muggle borns.
Dumbledore admits to his staff that the chamber of secrets has been opened, and considering that it has to be opened with parseltongue, that makes Lileath a pretty clear suspect. Unless we have Salazar explain what's going on, which could be amusing.
