I've done 1x1s on other sites with about as much luck. It's gotten to the point where if someone really wants me to, I'll quickly binge-watch a short enough fandom to get caught up so I can RP it with them. I've had one successful one this way, but it remains my sole success in RPing in general...

Yeah, and it sucks when they die. For some reason (on other sites, I barely started here) my characters always seem to die in the most horrid ways. Don't ask me how, but one of them even ended up being eaten by a boar. It was so sad...

I tend to prefer younger roles over gender roles. I'll usually rp as a teen. No preference in gender. I really have no right to be judging other people, or at least that's how I feel. The very notion of preferring different people to rp with has never occurred to me.

My first rp was one post, and has been till now. It's always intimidated me. I'm shy, so I used it to "fix" myself. In retrospect I could have thought of something smarter than a place that just uses words.
