I too am not fond of 1 on 1 roleplays with strangers, but I'm running a group rp that's currently open and could use some new characters before the roleplay progresses too far for new characters to be plausible.
It's one of those ever so common fantasy high school roleplays, but with elements...
Recent searches relevant to my current rp. My brain is cooking up a scheme for it today!
Endangered fish that people eat
What do they use to illegally drug racehorses?
Rail map of Ohio
I can't say what I'm googling the last two for 'cause the rp hasn't gone that far yet. The first one is for...
One of the reasons I don't do one-on-one's much any more, and why I prefer this site over others.
I was proposed a roleplay, mixing fantasy and sci-fi, in which my character is a vampire who is offered a cure for vampire-ness. I wanted to explore the various implications that could have. I was...
Had to look up what the cape-like garment worn by a knight's horse is, though technically in my personal vocabulary list and not a web search engine. It's called a caparison, for those interested.
Also had to look up horse anatomy in plain language. I'm disappointed to find that there doesn't...
I try not to get paranoid about character flaws, but I'm aware of the subjectivity of what makes a character liked or disliked by those on the other side of the fourth wall.
Some people hate certain traits in characters to the effect of not wanting these traits present no matter how the...
I find it to be quite suspicious that you keep zig-zagging between already refuted arguments. At this point, I don't think this argument is entirely in good faith.
It will at least add one more layer of protection. It might not deter everyone, but it will deter some. It might not be enough, but it's better than what we already have on its own.
I used it twice. And then I stopped. I didn't "keep" using it in the manner you seem to imply. Also, I never said it was a bait and switch. I said it was like a bait and switch. "Bait and switch" is a bit hyperbolic, but I can't think of any way to put it that actually conveys it. This is as...
Boomer could probably chase me and likely would. He could print out an angry screed at me, and likely would. I might not be able to outrun him. If other characters of mine are also alive, (and there would probably have to be someone in order for the door to be knocked on) then it stands to...
I've used Discord and have had bad experiences with it. I vastly prefer having site staff that would back me up if I have a problem with, for instance, sexual harassment.
It may not be your ideal modality, but RPN is sufficient for me.
That's sort of what we're asking for just framed differently?
It isn't just about wasting time, but believe me, it does indeed waste people's time. Especially when it's a requirement but not mentioned, or is hidden behind layers of code. Like I said before, it's very much like a bait-and-switch. The modality of an rp should not be hidden in fine print...
