I would suggest to use a system similar to One Punch Man where each hero takes an aptitude test in part physical, in part written exam. And based on the results, they are put into different categories. Likewise, monsters are scored based on the potential of their destruction whether they are a...
I don't like wands/foci etc. as a prequisite for magic. My witch siblings are my main straight up magic characters and Enilias is an illusionist, and its a big deal with that, that you don't see what he's actually doing. If you think about how deceptive real life illusionists are, just imagine...
One of my guy characters I didn't play for a very long time, because for some godforsaken reason it pretty much led to some girl crushing on him and then projecting it onto me. I'm not like this guy, so this usually led to very annoying results. First one to a very uncomfortable private RP with...
When they actually come forward with ideas and move along plot points I bring up, even pushing their own plot points. Its dull when some starts being a safari tourist and only keeps reacting to my posts without doing something substantial.
I think 2-3 paragraphs is doable even in a short dialogue, but that style of writing isn't suitable for when you want to play out dialogues of the like:
"Hi." says A. "How are you?"
"Good" says B. "And you?"
A replies: "Pretty okay. Wanna go eat lunch together?" etc. etc.
In cases where short...
>Burn up in Sunlight. I consider this a very important weakness as it is a big motivator and is a very good limiter in comparison to what they can do.
>Vampires can petrify themselves to avoid burning up in sunlight, but they need blood to reawaken, so if they do this alone, they may be frozen...
My OC Enilias is someone I kept around for 13 years and while I haven't changed his personality in years, I only recently rounded up his character by giving him a twin sister.
If you love playing a character and keep coming back for them, there's nothing wrong with making changes.
My kind of characters are incredibly wholesome and cute boys (some less wholesome but still cute) whom I use with zany and complicated superpowers, jjba style.
Honestly I find the attitude of the OP a bit condescending. "You can't do this and that." You can play with whomever you like, but dont blame a style of writing you dislike of being less "skilled." And I'm not even talking about 4 word posts or anything. Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey are easy...
This is all just a style thing and I assure you most of these characters aren't even remotely as evil as they pretend. Especially teenagers (but not just teenagers) understand the pains of trying to fit in and not feeling like they belong anywhere. And by creating characters that are essentially...
Yandere is a japanese fiction term, but its basically an obsessive stalker-type of character who will murder everyone around you to isolate you and have you for themselves. It used to be more subtle, but basically its used exclusively for psychopathic slashers (usually female)
I rarely play canon stories, but personally I do not mind it (though I have issues playing as a character someone else made, canon and OC), though I am bothered a lot by it when its with canon characters who already are in a relationship.
Pokémon RP on a pokemon board. That wasnt edgy enough for 13 year old me though so I went for some dark fallen angel crap with a greedy merc OC and an edgy Illusionst Sorcerer
I still have these OCs but I changed them so much they arent anything like that anymore.
When I was 13, my OC was a sorcerer and he pulled ridiculous bullshit all the goddamn time and often they were about super edgy themes:
>Creating an illusion for a sentient wolf that made like a nightmare world where killing my OC would end in his owner forsaking him.
>Faking his own death and...
