I think that's sorta the problem. It's not easy for anyone to come up with ideas for running an RP. It's much easier to come up with twists to their favorite settings. That's probably why we're all here and not famous authors and artists.

I used that as a familiar analogy. But I think it's a nice safe way to include racism in a story without having people get mad at you for the actions of the fictional characters you create. Though now I really want to make a super racist person in a slice-of-life RP just to see how people react...

Now that seems strange to me. I'm interested in how that went down. I've never had anyone tell me to make a character racist. Although I like using racism as part of fantasy RPs with different races like elves and dwarves and such.

As I've said a whole bunch of times already in this thread, creating an RP is something literally anyone can do. So you can take up your own challenge and try to create a unique superhero RP.

It's very possible it's just your own personal experiences, or maybe just the way you see things, or something. I generally don't see too many RPs floating around that attempt to do things like that. Though I also don't go looking for RPs all the time.

I can attest to the fact that people bringing RPs to a halt happens. Even worse, they'll try to tell the GM what their character is capable of, when it's really up to the GM what kind of limits are allowed, and what all is allowed or not.
