True! I do wish they offered more of a variety. Let me know if you want help with an FC, I can try scouring the web for a short-haired badass looking warrior.
For some reason, they all look like elven, doll-like people, which, I don’t mind ‘cause it’s pretty, but definitely needs diversity.
Ha ha. I think it’s because it’s almost super imposing and blending the stack of images together. Might be better to edit with Photoshop or GIMP. Maybe picking a parent with short hair could work as well.
I think after you sign-up, you can choose the “parent” images and it will generate a mix of the images of the “parent”.
I used this on mobile browser so here’s how I navigated it.
I usually go Create > Portrait > Compose > Parent (You can upload up to 3 images for free or just select “Random”...
This is it. I mean, even if you think about the morality of a character, it’s not always just “good vs evil”. There’s so much layers and complexities that make a person who they are - how they rationalize their behaviour. I think that’s a great backstory for a very interesting revolutionary...
Definitely! To develop a character is one of those nuanced things and I agree that it’s actually a challenge. People’s behaviours aren’t always cut and dry. It’s very circumstantial. It’s just like how your response might change if you’re stressed vs if you’re calm if someone’s confronting you...
This is what actually intrigues me about writing characters with depth and a lot of difficult life experiences. It’s really those events that mold their character - change their belief and behaviour. I’m a pretty character-centric writer and while I do really enjoy being creative with the...
I think role-plays without an opposing “villain” or “enemies/creatures” are interesting. To create conflict through adversaries is easy, but for characters to experience growth through the harshness of the external environment and/or facing their own demons/flaws is more creatively...
I’m glad! I couldn’t agree more. She’s really great! I came across her by going through the Youtube rabbit hole of music. I was actually looking for more contemporary classical artists. My friend suggested Yiruma and so I just followed the classical piano side of Youtube. I hope she’ll continue...
Oh, I get so much inspiration from music. It really depends on what I’m writing. If I’m writing a more action oriented scene, I’m usually listening to rock music. If it’s something more futuristic, it’s usually electronic or dubstep. Lately, I’ve been really inspired by classical music. It’s...
If you’d ever be interested to RP either, Westworld or Goosebumps, let me know. :)
FNAF has such a deep lore and offers a variety of different characters. It’d be interesting to see that Foxy. I really like Ballora or The Puppet.
Oh, I have a few fandoms that I’d love to RP.
- Westworld: I’ve been searching for someone to do this one with me forever.
- The Alienist: 19th century crime/detectives, aside from Sherlock, is intriguing.
- Goosebumps: Less serious take on horror.
- Altered Carbon: my fave Sci-Fi show/series at...
I personally don't have a gender preference when it comes down to it. I've role-played male, female, and non-binary characters and it's all the more fun when you have a more diverse set of fictional babies to build up on. In terms of playing the opposite or different genders, it gives me the...
I think RP is a great hobby as an adult, albeit, time-consuming depending on what your style is. It really comes down to the effort you put in as well as the partners whom you decide to write with.
I'm also of the camp of novel-style writing so writing lengthy responses takes me some time...
