I think it's just where the participants of the conversation go, and since pfp scrolling doesn't work with the new site code (as far as I can understand), neither does the conversation info scrolling, so it looks blank.

In any case, though, I'm still excited! New site content is always a treat with admins like RpN has! And Pastel styles sound really cool!
