Well, maybe the families have the goal of freeing their deity while hindering all the other families from doing so. Perhaps the deities have been reaching out to the heads of the family, giving them cryptic clues for where to find them or how to free them. Something like that.

I'd wait for some more people. At the moment, I would try and flush out some of the story so that there is a bit of purpose and drive. That will make it more attractive to other people.

I feel like this is more of a game than an RP. There seem to be just too many restricting factors for the writer to deal with. Also, you likely have access to a super detailed lore in your mind, but the rest of us have little access to that. So there is likely, with so many rules, prerequisites...
