Agreed. Read the first part of the manga series, and got turned off by how it still feels like a generic isekai with somebody's player character. (The fact that the mc isn't technically a skellyman supports this feel)

It's less buff the minions and more everyone else, and even then it's more magic that summons spirits to help which then disappear immediately after. The minions are more situational as well, given they use equipment durability to survive
Thinking of a commander role that gives buffs, gives support, and is able to spawn npcs to help, though they're not undead monsters. Guy is also a demihuman giant, so there're some racial jobs but only about two (should be enough).
