Like a lot of other stuff, if it has no particular reason, I'm not a fan, but if used right and handled well, it can result in really interesting storylines.

I'd likely pull the former trick, primarily due to the fact that this character would explicitly be seeking redemption (which is really where my interest in Abyssals has always been, at least in their capacity as PCs- NPCs is another matter, of course!).

I'm partially curious how easy it might be to fudge playing Abyssals with the core rules as a hold-over until the Abyssals rules get released.

Yeah, this is a sometimes annoying tendency. The only defenite shounen I can think of that really averts it in their primary hero is Rurouni Kenshin, where the hero is in his mid-30s (and in that case, it's a definite plot point that he's been through some serious stuff).

Hey! I'm new on this site- mainly directed here for the Nocturnals supplement for Exalted, but the possibility of gaming here is interesting as well! I'm mainly interested in Exalted, with some interest in Shadowrun or possibly Pathfinder, and I hope to have fun here. :)
