Music Music Videos that make you want to write a story about them.

I really like Coldplay’s Adventure of a Lifetime. It makes me want to write about living in the wild as animals. Think something along the lines of Jungle Book, Lion King, and/or Madagascar. It just looks like it’d be a lot of fun!

Multiple Settings Jumping Back Into The RP Saddle~

I would love to start an RP with you! You have some really interesting characters! I’m also the doubling kind, if it’s your preference. Let me know if you’re still taking on partners and I’ll send you a DM. :)

Other How did you guys find your art style? Has it changed?

Hello everyone and fellow artists! I was just wondering how you guys settled into your current style of drawing or rendering/modelling. I’m still trying to figure out what direction I’m heading, art-wise. So I’m curious to hear about people’s journey to finding their own unique vibe and if...

Multiple Settings Practical Arts | Looking for Long-Term Partners with Original Plots

Thanks for heads up! I’m just using the regular site code from the BBC section so I don’t think I can alter the width. I’m not really a coder, but just thought it’d look nicer than a wall of text. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ No worries! You’re good. I’ve got a couple of new partners so I have a few things...

Multiple Settings Practical Arts | Looking for Long-Term Partners with Original Plots

"To practice any art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow. So do it." - Kurt Vonnegut Hello! I’m lightbox. I write in novel-style, multi-paragraphs (500+ words) and I’m just looking for a few new, long-term RP partners on the site. I play as any age, gender, race...

Experiences Do you ever give your characters or plots a second life past a role-play or after its ended?

Oh, that’s something I relate to! I’ve only finished a handful of threads/RPs in the past and most have been placed on the backburner because my partner has up and left. I don’t mind it because I understand that real life circumstances come first and I wouldn’t ever want them to feel pressured...

Experiences Do you ever give your characters or plots a second life past a role-play or after its ended?

I actually really enjoyed reading about Morois! Her story and history is interesting and the lore and setting of Euphorium sounds so well made. I could tell you put a lot of thought and care into it. The idea of free will being a state of its own is really unique and original. That’s wonderful...

I’ve done it so many times that I’ve lost count. It becomes a large confusing monster in itself because there’s so many twists and turns in the story that I have to reason out. But like heck, if I’d ever back down from such a creative challenge. 😝

Experiences Do you ever give your characters or plots a second life past a role-play or after its ended?

Oh, that’s a good idea to keep them in a character document/bank! I haven’t been keeping track of some of my 1x1 characters because sometimes my partner’s decide not to do a CS and just jump in to write. I do draw some inspiration from old characters and translate them into new ones. I love...

Playing duck, duck, goose with the plot ideas with my head is like a parent picking their favourite child. So easy and so hard all at once.

Other Random question of the day

I don’t think so. It was just a reflection of the period when it was made - it started in the 40s or 50s, I think. I kind of see it as walking back in time, seeing what people were like back then. How they dressed, what were the popular character tropes in media, etc. It’s a little like WandaVision.

Experiences Do you ever give your characters or plots a second life past a role-play or after its ended?

Hello. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever written stories past the role-play or adapted their characters/plot/setting into another piece of writing (stories, drabbles, etc.). After my long-term partner had to quit, I was still so invested in the story that I feel like I had to see it...

    Experiences Dungeons and Dragons, anyone?

I share the same sentiment. I’d like to explore the world of D&D, but have never found a good group for it. If you need a newbie buddy for a D&D group, I’d love to re-try and join in. Newbies can stick together! :)

Advice/Help Is it okay to roleplay as characters that aren't a part of your race/ethnic group?

As long as it’s done respectfully and with consideration to the race/ethnicity that you’re trying to portray, I don’t see why not. It will expose you to the diversity around the world and how people from different cultures actually live their lives. It’ll also show how humanity is...

Advice/Help Do you ever get discouraged with roleplaying?

For me, the biggest challenge for an RP is time. Because of the irl things that I have to do daily, I can’t dedicate as much time as I’d like to in terms of replying or even finding interested parties to write with. The actual writing and collaborating and plotting and all that good stuff is...
