(Umm... so I just wrote this randomly. Not really sure how I feel about it. But oh well... ) :)
Rain Drop
Some people dance
Some they laugh
But what I love most
Is when they cry so I can wash away their tears.
I'm above all else
But fall quickly down
Melting into concrete
And...
@Tohoak Hey! Thanks! It was for a challenge poem to write about an inanimate object. It's one of those poems where the title is very important in understanding it. It's about a doll. :)
@Hellfire Haha, I'm not sure if I'm really that great of a poet to compete, but I guess I could at least...
Standing Out (another poem I wrote for my class)
The icy wind bit at my flesh
Snowflakes danced down to land
On my tongue.
My arms were outspread
Inviting them into the
Warmth my body provided.
A frosted chill kissed my cheek,
A thanks for enjoying their beauty.
Brushing off...
Okay, last one for right now. This was written when I was in seventh grade, I believe.
Dysfunctional
Thoughts turn and
Emotions cannot conceal
Nor hide what I must feel
Nor turn the night to day
Nevermind what I should say.
Alone here once again
With the pain almost at end
And...
And here is one more for right now. :)
Battle Powder
A reflection stares back at my porcelain face.
Concealer masks the imperfections of past
Mistakes, regrets.
Blushes hidden behind cosmetic perfection
Pore-less, hopeless
Patched like a doll but sewn like a pro.

Since I've just started writing different kinds of poetry I thought I'd go ahead and start this thread to share some of them. Feel free to post any of your own. :) I always enjoy reading others poetry as well.
I posted this in another thread yesterday, but I'm going to go ahead and use it as...
@Anomaly I wish! I'm only at two schools right now because I'm finishing up a Creative Writing 2 class, after that it's going to be just one school. When I signed up for the class I didn't take into account that I would be driving to that school twice a week and driving about an hour in the...
I'm intrigued by this thread and the poetry was really fun to read! :)
Just because it looked like fun:
The Doll
Echoes down alleys and
Horns blaring in a non-unified rhythmic tune.
Lights like up like Vegas but without
Clinking slot machines.
People walk quickly
Rocking their...
Hm, I believe my first anime was Sailor Moon. I remember coming home from school in 6th grade and always watching it. But when my older brother first introduced me to it the order of when and what I saw is kind of a blur. I remember watching and loving Ah! My Goddess, but I can't remember if...
Hey! Thanks for the warm welcome, Kes!
Always a pleasure to run into a fellow Texan. :)
A&M is a great school, I'm sure you'd love it there.
*Dances around in confetti* Celebrate good times and all that stuff. ;D
Hey! Thanks for the greeting, I'm really excited to start RPing with everyone.
SHSU is Sam Houston State University. ;) Go Bearkats! I only have two more years to go for my Bachelors and I soooo can't wait till that time gets here! Hopefully then I'll start taking night classes for my Masters.
Hey there!
The name I go by when RPing is Lilyness II, but my real name is Marisa. I am currently a student at both Lone Star (last semester) and SHSU majoring in Health Administration. I have always had a love for reading and writing since I was seven years old. When I was 15 I discovered...
