Either way, it seems these pairings are unsatisfactory to the majority of the group. Does anyone have alternative suggestions for @calvinuu123 (To my understanding he is unofficially the Professor Millicks roleplayer, mais je ne sais pas)?

Ada Stowe
The ball seemed a perfectly meretricious scheme. Ada, of course, imagined it would be an altogether inadequate attempt to heal the innumerable emotional scars that had resulted from the most recent Wizarding War, as she suspected such wounds could only ever be cured with time (never...
Both tactics definitely have merit, maybe we could proceed with Calvinuu's plan and combine the two structures by implementing some pre-pairing, but also adding a dash of ambiguity as to how each pair will proceed? @sarahmickey98
@sarahmickey98 I love the theme for the ball, it provides a loose framework for hypothetical costuming and such, but is also cohesive with the event's purpose. It's rad!
Ada Stowe
-Amidst That Evening's Meal-
Ada slumped, somnolent, against the welcome weight of the Slytherin bench. Her day had been, with the exception of her Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson, altogether rather routine. History of Magic had, of course, been a delight. Professor Binns’...
Ada Stowe
-Just After Defense Against the Dark Arts-
And, quite suddenly, her strength sped from her, seeping elsewhere, as if pursued by a pernicious adversary. Ada sank, leaden against the still, sturdy, stone wall and considered the figure crouched beside her. He appeared to be...
Ada Stowe
A verdant field, dotted with polychromatic petals -not a wilted wildflower in sight- stretched abundantly and exuberantly onward, seeping into sifted silt and sand, before plunging beneath cerulean seas, plummeting toward eternity. Ada lounged luxuriously atop an imagined island...
Okay, important question, what should the theme of the ball be, if there is a theme? I feel like it might be good to keep it analogous to the conflict in the wizarding world, but idk.
I'd assume that'd probably be an option. Most schools that I know of don't require students to bring dates, but it would be entertaining to force students to pair up
Ada Stowe
Ada’s gaze drifted, bobbing, unbalanced, over a small sea of acne plagued physiognomies, all contorted in various states of exhaustion, before eventually steadying and settling upon a battered pair of brown moccasin slippers, belonging to the Noble boy beside her, a boy who appeared...
This isn't related to the microcosm portion of the rp, but maybe the school could host a ball to encourage interhouse union or possibly to celebrate the reopening of Hogwarts? @Knarf @sarahmickey98 @FrazzledFox™
True, plus there's the plot device that is the daily profit to illustrate the connections between the interactions of individual characters and the interaction of different political parties and ideological sects, and the lightning era cast add another layer to the story, because they attract...
