We're talking about the Mauraders... James is too tunnel-eyed to see anything that could go wrong, Sirius likes breaking-rules and bending common sense, Remus is too pained to see logic, and Peter doesn't want to go against his friend's opinions.

i agree that both charicters are great it's just one thing just one thing could have changed the entire thing if snape didn't call lilly a mudblood and joint he death eaters thay could have been together and jk said so hereself that lilly had feeligns for him

*covers Remus's ears* Shhhh! I'm sure Remus's aware (*cough* wolf *cough) and stable as a human most of the time around Harry! But... I've read so many headcanons where James loses Harry and Lily's flipping out when in reality Sirius had just taken out the infant to have fun. Which somehow James didn't notice.

The only thing that makes Snape a tragedy, is the fact that he never let anything go. He was heart broken when Lilly died, because he never moved on and found love again. He was bitter towards the Sirius, Remus, and James, because they bullied him, and he couldn't see past it even though they were adults... Or... you know... Dead...

And to top it off, He made Harry's life a living hell, because he resembled the father he never knew.
