Have you ever heard of this hanahaki disease in au? I was thinking of some sort of angsty soulmate au plot. But if that's not your thing, we can work on something else.

No, I haven't. But I googled it and started reading up on it just now. Sounds romantic. How angsty do you want it to get though?

Maybe to the point where my character decides to have a surgery to take off the flowers in his chest, but he'll no longer be able to have memories of your character nor even fall for him once he does so? And then your character realizes it too late before he could do anything about it. Does that make sense? Or do you want it to be purely based a soulmate au and then your character couldn't accept the fact that my character is his soulmate and he ends up despising my character?

We could have some angst, but also maybe some fluff and a bit of light-heartedness. Maybe our characters know each other from childhood and then they ended up parting on a bad note. Maybe some sort of misunderstanding or a dark part of their childhood. They didn't see each other grow up and change. When they meet again it's a bit of surprise and getting close again like before seems impossible, but one of them wants it really hard, and the other doesn't seem to be giving off the same energy. Also maybe their social classes are different. But in the end they were just meant to be.
Also I like the Hananaki trope. I added it to my thread. Thanks for the idea.
