To my understanding, an age gap of 5 years is uncomfortable, and then it just gets progressively creepier from there XD

Yeah, the reason I ask is because I was 23 going after an 18 year old but I wasn't too assertive about it because I felt the age gap might be a little weird. But out of nowhere this other guy entered the picture and kinda stole her attention away. But he's 28 and that feels kinda gross to me.

Honestly I don't really understand it much myself (Social stuff and the reasons for them are pretty much unanimously lost on me now and forever XD) but that's more or less how it goes, I think. At the very least 5 years is, like, the very edge of acceptable, if perhaps a little weird. Though I think it could be more about power dynamics and maturity than anything else, now that I think about it, I dunno XD

Hmm I found a formula on google that makes some sense to me. Half your age plus seven. But even given this, 18 would be too young for even me now as I'm 24 and 12+7=19. So he should be dating someone that's at least 21.
