The thought of absolutely everything being digitalized scares the crap out of me...and we're practically there already. I feel worse than Charlton Heston at the end of the original Planet of the Apes film. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvuM3DjvYf0
I don't think they will. It's rare to find a place that even accepts bitcoins; also if bitcoin somehow shut down like how the banks shut down during the great depression due to the stock market crash, the government won't give your money back. Which, no one wants that especially when one bitcoin is around 11,000 US dollars. There are other reasons too. My e-commerce class debated this topic a few weeks ago.
Nova - Bitcoins are a type of digital currency in which encryption techniques are used to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer of funds, operating independently of a central bank. I first heard about them while watching a video about the deep web and I originally thought they were illegal, but it turns out that might not be the case.
The thing that pisses me off the most about the Dark web is that it makes it even more f-ing difficult for the law to track people down. As if the law didn't already have enough problems...
Zachy1993 The reason why many people think bitcoin has illegal money with them is that the government cannot regulate it nor can they figure out where the money is coming from since it SUPER encrypted.
No, but if you give me 4,000 dollars as an investment I promise beanie coins will take over as the main U.S currency. This is not a scam. Hurry up and pay now!
