Why do you have to be so extra and call yourselves West Virginia? Shouldn’t you just be one big Virginia?

Good question. Ya see, way back when, during the cival war in 1861, half of virgina wanted slaves and the other wanted them freed. So the state of virgina split in 1863 and the non-slave half became west virgina
