People talk at all for reciprocation, people talk about other people to incentivize social acceptance through the acknowledgement of a common opinion about the subject.

So.. To get attention. One cannot be "socially accepted" without first being noticed

To become socially accepted. You don't have to be well known to be thought of positively or feel included in a group; They aren't necessarily connected, attention and social acceptance.

It's not about being well-known prior.. That is irrelevant, the status simply says that talking about other paying gathers attention. If Someone randomly said "you look nice today" you would probably respond with "thank you" . If someone said "I look nice today", you would probably ignore them. I'm not too sure what you're making such a big deal over xD
