I met with a posting order. So person A would role play the character's action first and person B will role play the character's action next. Each role player will act as a different personality for the same character.

That's called a 'Quest'.

Windsock the role players will role play the characters actions in their own different posts. For example post 1 one roleplayer makes the character go to a grocery store. Post 2 another role player makes the character buy several gallons of milk. And this continues.

...Yeah, that's a quest. Well, a quest where the GM doesn't oversee it and lets the players do the footwork.

Windsock okay thank you for the clarification. I've never seen a role play like that in the quest section. Can you send me some thread links? Or do you know any search words I should use?

Sadly, I've never seen one with such a specific ruleset myself, but you could always continue talking about it or make one yourself.
