the Monkey Island series is iconic. I love the games. But you're right, if I start talking about Monkey Island to most people, I start getting that dazed look and I have to change the subject.

21 at the moment... it's a rarity for me to see a user over the age of 23 here.

I'm curious as to why. I guess life gets in the way, but I see RP'ing as a creative outlet. I write fiction, fantasy, and sci fi and have multiple projects going on, but I enjoy the act of collaborative writing and roleplaying characters as well. I figured it would have just as many older writers as there are younger writers..
