What happened?

long story short, the so called /friend/ stole from my landlord/housemate and yeah when she gets back from her friend's tomorrow, there's going to be a major shitstorm and I'd rather not get caught in it

Yeah ... that ain't gonna go down well. I'd say you should skip out on it and go elsewhere but that might make you look more guilty-by-association despite not being responsible which is not the impression you want to leave on your landlord/housemate.

My landlord knows it wasn't me. it's jsut being caught in the crossfire that I'm worried about

Well that's good to know. Earlier I meant 'by association' not as an active participant. Yup thee crossfire is gonna be bad but if your friend has half a brain she'll take the punishment she gets+return the money rather than face criminal charges.

She already is from her past housemates.. it's no wonder she got kicked out

She does smoke weed and get high off the stuff from those canisters found in whipped cream cans..

I sure as hell hope so, though once she is gone, finding a new place to live (which i was going to do anyway, so my ex can have his partner move in - my ex and i are on good terms still) is going to be a lot easier
