How so?

Not the most rushed ending I've seen for a series. 5 seasons in the making and it only felt that way because of the time gap from the others.

Other than that I felt it was strongest in the middle and satisfying in the second half. Maybe the 'love' was laying it on a little thick but not unexpected. He was 50+ years without a girl and emotionally stunted wrt love and she was trained with only one purpose in mind until weeks ago.

Their interaction was understandably awkward.
