I love the playful snark in both of these pieces. This sepia sketch does the eyes even more justice, for sure; it definitely catches mine!

Is this a character which is attached to anything in particular, or is he just a recurring focus for your art?

This second one, though, rings a bell; maybe I saw it someplace else some time ago. I can't think of where I would have seen it.

Whoops, guess bbcode doesn't work on comments. He's attached to a couple of projects, but serves more as a persona at the moment. He's a Pooka, which I'm sure you can guess; a kind of fairy goblin, an animal shapeshifter.

Well, I was on Gaia and I've given the Pooka a write-up as a race on D&D Wikia. So you might know the fellow from one o' those.

Mmh; I don't think so. I've never been a huge fan of high fantasy. If I ever did get involved in either of those, I don't remember it.

Hehe. That is rather niche, come to think of it. I can count on one hand how many people I've seen use them regularly. And you're welcome! I can't pass up an opportunity to appreciate good art and characters that have some extra meaning to their creators. ;3

I'd like to hear about it, I think, if you ever do get that out there. I figure a character with that much personality shoved into one or two images is either the brain-child of a very skilled artist or part of a tantalizingly thorough canon.
