It's like HTML, but limited to certain pre-set codes.  And a lot simpler, because it only allows what the site software/programmer sets it to allow, so you don't have to worry about p and div and all those other things I could never get my mind wrapped around.

D:  So I can only use the like 15 different fonts? 

For now, just whatever's in the dropdown, yes.
