1. Click on "connection settings"


2. Click on "new connection"


3. Click on "manual setup"


4. Search for an access point


5. Select your network


6. Enter your network key


It should do a connection test.


If that isn't successful, I'm not sure what else you could try... 

Does it have a verification system? Ala, Burger King wifi?

And I've done all that.  When I open up the browser to do the verification (it's public wifi), I just get a message saying "Browser cannot be used at this time" and then it shuts down automatically. 

Yeeeaaahhh. Verification wifi doesn't work with a 3DS...

Weird... do you hack at all?


I used to do AC hacks in the browser on my old 3ds, and sometimes the browser would crash.

@Pluslex, it used too.  It's only since early October that it stopped being able to do this.  Was there some kind of update that donked it up?


@Phadia, and, no, I don't.  I'm not even sure how you would do that.  Thing is, even if someone Wonder Traded me a hacked 'mon, without me knowing it, I can't even do a factory reset, because you have to connect to the internet to do it!

Hmm. Last year, My 3DS wasn't able to connect to Public Wi-Fi at all, if it had a verification system that needs to pull up the browser, so, I don't know.

The last thing I can remember doing online was downloading the Keldeo Mystery Gift for Oras, back in the first week of October--through public wifi--and then when I tried to get online again a couple days later, It wouldn't let me.  I even tried with a friend's 2DS, and nothing. 


But you say this is a global issue, not just my console? 

Just chatted with Nintendo of America's "support" staff, and they basically said, "I don't know, get internet at home."
