You cannot permenantely delete threads, but you can hide them.  Beside the edit button is an option button.  Select that to find the 'Hide' option.  It will remove your thread from public view.

I was trying to create a practice role play thread so I could get a hang of the entire process of crating a role play on RPNation. It's hard for me to get used to it, and the tutorial is slightly inaccurate with the website's format in general.
