I recommend checking out the site update survival guide first. Beyond that, I'm chill with answering any questions you may have. :)

Oh, thank you very much.  I've read over the guide and most of the Common Questions Concerning the Update thread, but I do still have a couple of questions.  I'm sorry if they're dumb and/or have already been answered; I'm still pretty turned around and kinda overwhelmed, so I'm probs not the greatest at finding things right now...

Questions 1 and 2, I guess, would be about the Content Count.  Firstly, is that just posts or is that including other things as well?  Secondly, is there a way to see what the actual number for that is, or should I just wait and hope it fixes itself?  Sorry about the second one; I'm just 100% sure that 887 is way too high, and I want to figure out how far I still have to go before I can use the Hosted Projects system.

Leading off of that, Question 3: if you're not eligible for the Hosted Projects system (which I assume I'm not since I can't see the Add New RP thing from the tutorial), does that mean you're not allowed to GM at all, or "only" that you need to make a thousand individual pages in the usual areas?  I had an idea for a thing, but I want to make absolutely sure I'm not stepping on toes before I start with it...

I'm sorry for bothering you with my dumbass questions, and thank you very much for helping me out.  I appreciate it.

Content count is just posts - 887 is your number, brother. :P

If you're not eligible for the Hosted Project system, just make a thread in the appropriate genre place for the in-character thread. For example, in fantasy you'd just make a thread - which could be used for in-character - then one in OOC, character sign-up, and whatever else you want (each of those subforums is under fantasy or whatever other genre.)

I suggest linking them at the top of each other. I know it's not the most convenient thing ever, but thread-tabs died in the update.

Hosted projects are at the very bottom of the forum page - which means that the regular sections work differently and aren't affected either way. It's just a different forum.

Does that help?

Oh! Also - you have over 250 posts required for HPs, so if you can't make a hosted project, please make a support request. For thread roleplays you should only have one character signup - in Hosted Projects you make a thread per character, for threads it's one thread for all characters

Wow, really?  I honestly didn't think that I had been that prolific before I brain-farted and died for 10,000 years...

Alrighty.  Thanks for letting me know; I just wanted to make sure to avoid breaking any of the rules for all the new stuff.

Also, sorry, I figured out that I actually can use the HP things like 2 seconds before your second post.  For some reason, I thought the pic in the tutorial was for the list of genres and not in the actual genre sub-forum itself.  I'm sorry for the hassle.

I think my only other question right now stems from being an idiot and forgetting stuff from the old site: how do I use the dice roller again?

Dice roller's not working atm, we'll be getting it (or a version of it) up as soon as we can.

Gotcha.  Is there an alternative we should use in the meantime, or should we just rely on screenshots or something similar?
