Copperheads can't climb so.. if it's above your door and on your doorframe, it might be something else. 

Idk it's got the same coloration and its head looks the same as a copperhead's.

But if it attacks you, just grab it's head area and keep it away from biting you. Then throw it out the window or lock it into a cage that it can't slip out of.


Makes it easier for everyone involved. Unless it is a snake that likes coiling up against you, then stay way from it as far as possible.

Copperheads are like Rattlesnakes. Trying to grab it's head only mean that you'll get venom in you. Another name for a copperhead, the penny snake. It and flip it's head/ body out of your grasp, or can spin it's head fully around in your grasp and bite you. Don't attempt to touch it AT ALL.

Wasn't being rude? If I was, I'm sorry. Didn't mean to get you all, worked up. What I mean, is that I'm constantly outside, I have a horse, when you ride horses, you have to know whats dangerous and what's not. When I didn't know anything before, I almost killed my horse by not seeing a rattlesnake. The internet only makes me appear angry at your comment. However in reality I'm just lying down in my bed at night, watching TV, and playing with my cat. The only thing which would at very least annoy me at this point, is if someone were to knock on my door when I would go to bed.
