Are you having issues with the site? We're here to help, if you are.

The 10 post/24 hour rule changes very few things, unless you're talking about the requirements for making large Hosted Project roleplays?

Ohh, you do seem to be talking about the roleplay groups. The Hosted Project system used to require 1000 posts for users to access it.

Large 'groups' take up site resources, and are better suited to large games. If you had a thread game that had a lot of members and was seen to be active for a time, you could always request it be moved to its own mini-forum. That restriction's in place because they're not needed in every game, and most players don't GM a larger one until they've been around a while - threads work just as well.

I was former staff on another site that had a system like this. I ran a group of 7 and a group of 12 until that site died off. I had some friends vouch for this site as a place to come run those groups again. I guess I should have listened to the other friends which warned me away from here.

Nobody's really demeaning on here. If such has happened it's possibly a one time occurance. But hey, do whatever.

You can put in a support request telling us why you should be able to bypass restriction for your game, then! :)

We don't mean to insult your intelligence or ability in any way - they're just restrictions put in place to keep RpN useable.

I dont think my patience is high enough for that after the other explanation I saw given for the restriction. I appreciate the efforts to talk me off the metaphorical ledge, as any good staff should, but some people have their minds made up. I guess we'll see over the next few days how likely i am to stick around.

That's fair enough, then! I hope you end up enjoying the site. ;)

In RPNs defense, growing invested in any site has proven difficult after trying to make a difference on one, receiving staff promotion, and then having it all go to shit. That leaves a bit of a sour taste in one's mouth.

We're a pretty hardy community, though - RpN's been around for 3-4 years itself, and through mergers and all the original site's like.. probably more than nine years old? I'm not sure. Not all things I was around for, though!

...the site's over half my age, but y'know, whatever. ;-;

Roleplaying sites seem to either go really well for a long time or go okay for a while and then die, though - not sure why. Maybe it's just people fading in and out of the hobby.

Do you do freeform games, or dice?
Forboding_Angel
Forboding_Angel
Dice is for actual sit-down D&D... which I have not played in too long. I run more freeform stuff myself.
