You can still casually stalk someone 


I doubt anybody would mind. It's not like you're stalking their facebook - it's a roleplaying site. The recent profile visitor thing was a feature for a very long time (we're talking pretty much consistently in all but the latest version of the site before the update) and nobody ever got mad at me for stalking them.
