Nah. People don't realize how much work raising a puppy is. Most people get a puppy because "Oh it's sooooooo adorable!". Then the puppy acts like a puppy, and then it ends up at a shelter or abandoned. It's sad actually.

Yeah raising a puppy takes a lot more work than some would think. It's not just teaching them to sit and do tricks. There is a plethora of other things. That people don't take into consideration. Though sometimes a shelter is a better option. I once had a friend who could not take care of dogs and instead of maybe giving it a family that could. They just go another, and another, and another.

Like you said, it's not just training and tricks. People don't realize how important it is for puppies to get vaccinated, and they likely don't know how expensive vet clinics are. Then there's the expense for food, which goes quickly. I wish their was some kind of law that required people to take a course on puppies BEFORE adopting. Sometimes a shelter is better, but sometimes it isn't.

The whole vaccination thing upsets me. Why wouldn't you want to keep your pet safe. Yeah it cost, but in the long run if they get sick the vet bills will equal so much more. I think that it upsets me more because you’re not only putting your dog at risk, but also mine.

Not to mention having any pet hard even having at kitten is a challenge. Making sure they don't play with claws or bite. The problem is people just assume that their pet is bad because it's just some dumb animals. Which is far from the truth. The animal won't be the same if it had proper training and care.

I work with dogs, so I understand how you feel. People think spanking is a good way to discipline dogs. While I grew up the same way, I know there's a difference between spanking and just beating. I see dogs come in that flinch when you try to pet them. Like I said, people need to do research.

Yeah that's just sad. A dog should not fear it's owner or anyone else. I think part of the problem is that people don't see dogs as family they see them as simply pets. Which I don't understand like whats the point. I actually wanted to work with animals for a while, but family that do and they say the worst part is having to deal with the owners who just don't care.
