GhostTrail
Time You Enjoy Wasting is Not Wasted Time
Hello there, the name's Taylor! I'm now on this website again after... 2 years? Either way, this is my new account where I will be befriending people, rping with people, and being a nuisance!
Wait... oh no... forget I said that last part. You. Heard. Nothing.
So a bit of things to know about me, regarding rp-style:
I don't care that much about length, what I care about is the content in the message. If you can put out the same information in a paragraph that you can in five, then by all means.
I do have a limit though. I do not want to sit down and read an essay. I prefer an rp, as opposed to an exchange of letters, to be an exchange of the different character's reactions to scenarios. If two character were to get in a fight scene, I'd like it to be a battle, not a strategy meeting inside both of their head. Strategizing face paced, as you have to react to the opponent while making your plan. That's why I prefer we keep it between 3-4 paragraphs tops.
What genres I do:
Everything. I mean this literally. I play slice-of-life as much at gritty actions and romance. I play super-hero genres as much as I play mystery themed adventures.
How I like worlds to be produced:
"Hey Taylor, this is a weird category to add"
"Yes, I realize this Kazuma" (Yes, Yes, I'm Kazuma) "-but let me explain myself"
When it comes to rps, I prefer worlds to be produced in a way that, in turn, will make both people in the rp more happy and immersed.
A) One person has full reign on the world and will start off with a brief set of rules regarding the rules. This is a more uniform style that leaves less creative freedom, but in turn is extremely stable. The person providing the world should make it clear what does, and what doesn't, fly in the world. The second player uses these rules and follows them closely. The second player would avoid introducing new story elements, acting as a player as opposed to a game master.
B) Both players brainstorm a world on the spot. In this scenario, while stability is lost, creative freedom is unlimited. While rules can be established, they're fairly loose and forgiving.
C) A world is taken from another media. This is the one with the most stability and a varying amount of creativity, depending on the world chosen. This medium can come from video games, manga, anime, etc. All that matters is that both players know the source. Explaining the source is not an option. This results in the one knowing it taking on the burden of teaching them, and if poorly taught, can cause the world to fall apart.
EX:
"My Hero Academia is a school for superheroes."
Got it, so we'd learn about secret bases and undercover identities and fight villains?
"Well no-"
Oh my character's superpower will be strength, they'll be called The Iron Fist
*YesYesImKazuma has left the chat room*
For now, that's all regarding my introduction. tomorrow I'll start posting the worlds and stuff I've already thought up and see if anyone's interested in those, if you want to rp before that though, hit me up and don't be afraid to ask questions ^-^
