Strengths: She's creative and gracious. Of course she's also fun-loving, adaptable, and independent. Her adaptability is one of her strengths when it comes to hunting. She is also quite talented with the art of knife throwing, and knives usually consist as her main weapon.
Weaknesses: Her thievish nature and coldness are far from ideal, while being independent is a strength it can also be her weakness. Sadly, she is also manipulative to get what she wants, she uses clothing has a main factor to manipulate men especially. These traits make hunting with a group rather difficult for her.
Character background: Raised in a militaristic home in a small French village, her parents expected nothing but the best from her and instill strict militaristic discipline on her from an early age. Failure was never to be an option while both of her parents were highly successful doctors. Her mother an ER working and her father a heart surgeon and a hunter on the side. It was no exception for Rayanne. She was to follow her parent's footsteps and become a doctor as well. With such a strict lifestyle you would think that any thoughts of rebellion would have been stamped out. They weren't. Rayanne could never manage to be as good as her perfect younger sister and in the end she stopped trying.Sadly, her younger sister died while undergoing surgery for a rare disease (Eagle Syndrome). She went from a straight A honor student without a smudge on her record to a smart ass drop out to continue the life of a hunter in the US.

History: Daystar Alleyne's story starts long before he was born. His parents were Ezra Alleyne, a real estate tycoon in the Midwest U.S.A., and Sara Alleyne a housewife and hopeful mother. Though they tried for a long time their union was not blessed with children. Eventually, going to the doctor, they were told that they could not, or would not be able to, have children at all. Heartbroken by the news, Ezra refused to give up, and soon began seeking more and more unconventional methods of help.

Eventually he came across a woman who claimed that she could help him and his wife conceive a child. She was a witch, a psychic, someone who dealt in the darker arts and worked with demons. Her name was Hadassah. Not quite believing in all of it, but willing to give it a try. It worked. After several herbal remedies and sessions with Hadassah, Sara and Ezra were able to conceive a child.

Happy at first, Sara soon became plagued by nightmares during her pregnancy. Every night she dreamt the same terrible dream. At first she tried to hide it from Ezra, but he soon discovered it, and sought ought Hadassah for help. When he got to her place though, she was gone. Nothing remained, and there was not trace of her. Traveling for work Ezra was called away on business just before Sara was due. Hoping to make it back in time for the delivery he was at the airport when he received news that she was in labor. Getting an earlier flight, and racing home, Ezra arrived at the hospital too late. Sara had delivered the baby, and died during the ordeal. When Ezra went to see the child itself, he discovered its crib empty: The child had been stolen from the hospital.

Unknown to Ezra, Hadassah had stolen the child from the hospital and raised him while traveling. Fleeing the authorities. She took him so that she might turn him into a weapon for her own use, something she'd devised upon first meeting Ezra and hearing of his plight. The name Daystar was picked up by Sara prior to her death, and Hadassah allowed him to keep the name Alleyne, thinking it common enough that it would be no great difficulty. Hadassah being a witch, and hoping to raise Daystar to protect her from the various enemies she'd made in the supernatural community, raised him with the full knowledge of the supernatural world. He grew up believing that Hadassah was his grandmother, and that his parents were both dead – killed by demons. Though she taught him the basics of language, mathematics, and histories, she also taught him supernatural lore. She would not however teach him anything of the craft other than how to protect himself from it, for she feared he might learn to use it against her one day.

While Hadassah was always there, the two were never in the same place for very long. And they traveled all over across Europe, the Middle East, the Carribean, Africa, India, and Asia. He learned a lot during the course of their travels. Both from Hadassah and through other teachers, people he met during their journeys. He's lived with the rich, the poor, the supernatural, and the human. Though his time with Hadassah was not overly kind, she was not overly cruel either, until late in his teenage years. His time in England during his travels had a profound affect on his childhood. It was a time of many firsts for him. His first sword, his first romance, and his first book all came during his time in England. His first sword, his preferred this bladed weapon when hunting and fighting, is a intricately designed double edged sword with cross guard hilt. Given to him by Hadassah for the beheading of a vampire she 'found'. Only later did he think back to question these orders. He thought she was just training him to hunt and destroy evil. One of the reasons he was so gullible was his first favorite book: The Story of King Arthur and His Knights by Howard Pyle. He tried, even through Hadassah's various punishments and discouragements, to live as though he were one of those noble knights. It was the pretense that allowed him to cope with the wanton hunting and killing that Hadassah forced upon him. Though she chose who he might kill, and who they might work with, at all times. He was her enforcer, and her hit-man, even before he'd come of age.

His first love was also in England, though he only saw her once, and never spoke to her. Their eyes met in passing, and he was sure he saw her smile. He remembers everything about that small moment, and has played it backwards and forwards, slowly and quickly, in his mind ever since. Constantly wondering, what if. He's never had a true lover, or a girlfriend, but he has fallen in love with the idea of a classical romance. It was not until Daystar had come of age that he and Hadassah returned to the United States. It was there that Daystar met a man by the name of Keith Saint, a pastor at a local church near where Daystar and Hadassah were staying. It was he who introduced Daystar to Christianity, to kindness, to forgiveness, to salvation, and a better more honest way of living his life. Daystar took to it immediately, and began devouring the books that Keith had given him.

Though Keith was unaware of the larger supernatural world, save for those things that he believed in because of his religion. He soon became aware of it when Hadassah attacked him herself. Fortunately for him Daystar learned of Hadassah's plans to rid herself and Daystar of Keith's influence, and intervened. The battle with Hadassah was fierce, and terrible, but ended in her seeming destruction. Though during the battle Daystar was able to learn that Hadassah was possessed by a demon, and from her words, learned that she was not truly his grandmother.

Now free from Hadassah, but without home or purpose, Daystar was taken under Keith's wing. He became both a spiritual, and an unofficially adoptive father to Daystar. Though Daystar soon grew restless, and soon began to form an idea in his mind that he could not shake. It took a while, but working at a local shop he was able to scrounge up enough money to buy a used 1971 Plymouth Barracuda. He considers the car his partner, and his home, on most occasions. The car carries his armory and camping gear, and he's slept in it more than once. Once he had the car he started out upon his mission. Though he'd known of the supernatural, he'd not known of the existence of other hunters until he met a few during his travels. He didn't like them very much, as even though they slew evil; they did not carry themselves honorably. Daystar went on to research everything on the supernatural and more importantly vampires as that was the first he killed. That ended up with him going out on his own to hunt various monsters which led him to bump into other hunters that told him he was on a good, but dangerous path.Both with them, and on his own, he encountered plenty of the creatures that he'd been trained to kill, and plenty that he hadn't, but he always acted as a soldier through and through.

Now, he travels from place to place, seeking out the supernatural evil in the world and carrying on his mission to destroy it.
