Overview & Main Roleplay

Kuvira
Her watched the platter slid before her, a smile still painted in her face. "Thank you, your majesty. " She nodded whilst seating herself beside him. Kuvira couldn't help but to find the situation humorous. She was currently serving the man that was initially her puppet.

At first she wasn't sure what to make of her encounter. Considering the fact that she had been deceased for a year. She expected her grasp over him to have withered away. Fortunately, her doubts were no longer present. Thornton's reactions to her advancements made one thing clear, she still had a few cards to deal.

She began to cut his meal a piece at a time. "You must eat, your grace. You'll need your strength for the days ahead especially in these times." Kuvira said softly in an effort to comfort him. Due to her year with the departed, she wasn't quite aware of the occurences that went on in morganna but she could only think of the worst. Assuming that Thornton had absolute control over his domain would be irrational. This lead her to conclude that someone had some or most of the power while he was nothing more than a symbolic figure, something that in her opinion, he had always been.

She picked up a decent amount of food on the fork prior to placing it close to his mouth. "Now say ahh." She said in a rather playful manner to hearten the king's spirit.

"Who is this woman?", Thornton wondered to himself. He couldn't break his stare into Kuvira's eyes as he searched them for some clue as to who this woman was. He felt as though he recognized her, but he didn't. He tried to shake the thoughts from his head as she gently cut the food in front of him and offered it to him.

Thornton hesitated a moment before opening his mouth to accept the bite of food. It even tasted better to him. The room fell silent then as his eyes drooped downward to the plate and back to the servant girl's eyes with a look of awe. "What is your name?" he asked.

Before the mysterious strager could answer the question, a third individual entered the room. As if on cue, it was none other than the man Kuvira was searching for. Commander Vohon entered the room. He was standing straight with an urgent look on his face. The tall man made haste approaching the table. He took no notice of the servant girl, and addressed Thornton without hesiation.

"Your Honor, we have a bit of a situation outside", said Vohon.

Thornton sighed and glanced to the woman across the table from him. He couldn't leave now; what if he never found this woman again? He needed to know who she was first!

"Is it something you can handle, Commander?" Aksed Thornton.

"You're gonna have to come see this", Vohon stated. He took a glance around the dark room and examined kuvira for a moment before continuing, "a group of strangers accompanying the Lady Cecile have requested entrance into the kingdom. The group is in escort to the palace as we speak", he said, his demeanor appearing annoyed by the situation.

"I suggest you greet these visitors, unless you have more important matters to attend", he added while sending a slight sneer of disgust to Kuvira. He perceived Thornton's lolly gagging to be a great waste of time.

Thornton, however; carried a new look of surprise. "The Lady Cecile? Is she alright? She's coming home, now?" He slowly rose to his feet and fumbled with what to do. Suddenly, a thought came to the young king. He turned to the servant girl and held a hand out, "would you like to accompany me to greet the Rose Princess? She has been away, and will need the care of someone as fair as you", he said. This way at least, he could find her again, he reflected. He took her hand as Vohon lead the way to the main entrance of the castle.

Spacing Out Spacing Out

. . .
"Stop!" Cecile cried as she ran towards the woman. The woman showed no signs of slowing as she darted through the dark passage way, her long white dress flowing behind her. Cecile could barely keep up, but she couldn't stop, not when she was this close.

The Rose Princess slipped and stumbled, barely catching herself before falling to her knees. She grunted as she hoisted herself back to her feet and took off in the direction of her chase. The woman before her slipped around a corner, quickly vanishing from her sight.

Cecile burst around the corner in pursuit of the woman, drawing her wand and charging as much power into it as she could. This was her chance. "Ignitus!" She shouted as she barged through the doorway. It was just in time to see the woman's back turned to her. She turned around and in that moment Cecile's heart sunk. There Prudence stood, smiling. Alfio in her arms.

Just as the flame began to spark and erupt into a hot flash of flames, Cecile jerked her wand downward to the floor, sending the explosion of flames away from Prudence.

"I knew I should have finished you when I had the chance", said Prudence as she drew a wand from her baby's bundle. She lifted it and attacked, sending a rush of ice directly into Cecile. The ice swiftly coated her, impsisoning her within a glittery block of ice.

Cecile felt her heart begin to pound as she tried to break free, but she couldn't move. She couldn't feel anything. She tried to stretch her hand but it was frozen solid in place. She made the tragic mistake of dropping her wand during the blast, and it was left frozen just out of her reach.

Prudence approached the frozen figure of Cecile. She was still holding her baby, and laughing at the Rose Princess. "I knew you were too much of a coward to strike an infant", she began, propping up Alfio and adjusting him casually as she spoke, "and now that mistake has cost you your life". Once Prudence had Alfio secured into a bundled pouch against her chest she turned to leave. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have a boat to catch".

Cecile watched helplessly as she left her to die. She was trying desperately to kick and bang the ice, but she couldn't budge. She wanted to scream but she couldn't. No one knew where she was. No one would find her in time. Panic began to rise in her as air was depleted. She needed air! She struggled to no avail, and soon the Rose Princess could fight it no more. Her body relaxed and stiffened as she breathed in her last morself of air. She could feel herself slipping away into cold darkness.

She could feel her hand still reaching for her wand. There was one other way, she realized as she closed her eyes and tried to focus. She focused all of her energy into her hand, hoping, praying for a miracle...

Suddenly, a blast of flames erupted from the palm of Cecile's hand. It shattered the glass and burnt the floor. Cecile collapsed. She was burnt from the flames, sliced up badly by shattered shards of ice, and weakened to the point of exaustion... but she was alive. She could do nothing but breathe now as she sunk into unconsciousness.

Cecile let out a surprised gasp as her eyes jolted awake. Then she relaxed as the pain covering her entire body returned with her awakening. She shifted to peer around herself and suddenly became aware that she was moving. Cecile was laid across the inner seat of a carriage. It was daylight out. Where were they? What happened?

Of course, Cecile had no knowledge yet of how their enemies escaped Amberjack. The monarchs were forced to retreat, but luckily they'd found Cecile.

"What's happening", asked Cecile aloud as she peered out the carriage window. They were travelling slowly and from the cool air and mountains Cecile knew they were in the Rose Kingdom. Outside the carriage she could see the rest of her group, including the trio. It was her first time waking up since the attack, and she was relieved to see they had all escaped.

Alamar Majere
Damn...he was so close...SO CLOSE...Oromis had fled before him. He had flaf out fled. Did he even know who was on his tail? Of course...they locked eyes, even though for a brief moment, they knew. They both knew. The look they shared was a combination of shock, fear, and hate. Somehow, even Alamar, who knew they were going to clash, was still surprised. And of course, he would have to be a fool not to fear what Oromis could do. Even so...

He was trying to thinm on what happened...they went in...he sas protecting them...an ambudh? He remembered the sudden sap of his strength, then of course him pulling other's power to support his spell...there was fighting...then they continued...what happdned to the Royalty? He was supposed to guard them. Or one of them. Did he? Yes...until he saw Oromis...then, casting a tracking spell on the princess, he bolted after him. They locked eyes...and Oromis ran. He fled. Why? What had made him so weak??

Well, he would find out. He would have continued the persuit if his plan B wasn't about to go down. He wasn't willing to chase Oromis and fight him like that, far too risky. No, he turned and found Cecile getting her ass kicked. That was the time to slip in some whispers, how he had been there the whole time, trying to defend the princess with body and mimd. Hopefully she'd buy it.

He hadn't said a word since then, every day he had he would time heal whoever needed it, bht could only do it once. He had developed a rather terrible. Cough as well now, constantly whipping blood off the back of his hand. That was new.

"We are running like dogs with their tails between their legs, or as many a general would put it, making a tactical retreat." A haggard, raspy voice would state. From the other side of the carriage, the form of none other than Yoren would suddenly standout, yet something was wrong. If Cecile were to examine him, she would see where once had been Yoren's callused left hand, would be nothing more than a stump, while his right hand had gotten off lucky, only having lost the little and ring fingers. Besides these, he also had several, now slightly soiled, bandages wrapped around his chest, and some wrapped around his lower calf. The air in the carriage also had a rather heavy vanilla and lavender smell in it, with a faint hint of blood. "My apologies about the smell in here, milady. I would be outside walking if I could, but I was only able to deal with all but the most grievous of wounds. That lanun man must of had some sort of poison on his blades, and I fear how long I may have left," After a moment, the old assassin would sit up a little higher in his seat, wincing in pain as he did. "But, that's enough about me. Are you alright, milady? Anything sore or hurting? Luckily, your wounds were rather minor, so a a few adarna tears were enough to heal you." Adarna's are magical birds, cousins to the phoenix, though with far weaker healing abilities.

Silence filled the room for a while. It felt a little strange but peaceful all at once. Thornton staring into her eyes, attempting to find answers whilst she did nothing to fight it. It was soon broken when the king asked of her name. She was stumbling on whether to reveal herself or play this role on for a little longer. Kuvira opened her but was soon interrupted by the thud of the doors. Any there he was.

The man controlling the puppet, Vohon. Kuvira sat there for a while before realizing her current position on the hierarchy. She performed a quick bow to him but wasn't acknowledged. All high and mighty I presume, she thought as she returned to her seat.

Kuvira was shocked for thornton's hesition to deal with the problem personally. At least she was aware of cecile survival through the hardship of this rather dramatic year. Though they did not leave their relationship off in the best way, she was thankful for it.

Vohon's sneer was returned with a smile of mockery. If only he knew what lied behind this disguise of hers would his demeanor change? That would be answer soon enough.

"Of course your honor, it'll be my pleasure." Kuvira replied content as she took his hand that seemed to cuff hers unintentionally. If she was honest, It was startling to see how quick he was to allow her to accompany him. It made her wonder if there were other before her and if there was a chance that her status as his fiancee when things were said and done could be taken away from her by a single batter of the eyes. She would make an effort to try to make those possibilities minimal.

What a disaster, Lenelia thought. Despite not wanting to get directly involved, Dreadnought threw himself into the fray. While he did not doubt Dread's combat capabilities, Lenelia struggled to keep him alive. The doctor, he thought. He engulfed the Big Steel in screaming storms of flames. As he did that, he began to be pelted with lightning bolts from what seemed like every caster in the general area. More than once. He himself took some licks, but to lose his buddy, he couldn't fathom the thought.

So there he sat, having bailed on the ride home after they arrived in the Rose Kingdom. He was a performer, and so, perform he must.

Out in the streets he sat, strumming his lute to gather attention. He smirked, taking a deep breath as he applied melody to his voice.

For I come from Yunakai
with a tale to shed tears~.
The rebellion, at it's peak!
King Lance on the attack,
But alas he was beaten back,
With a sorrowful squeak.~

Woe unto those fiends~
Who would dare harm a child~
For Princess Cecile lost her nerve,
At harming a mother so mild~.
The Wilting Rose and her enemies~
Nasty Demons from Hell.
In strength and wit, they are equal,
Yet it seemed no one fell.~
King Oromis of the Yunakai!
A leader so strong!
Had bent knee to King Yaro,
Well now, that's just wrong.~
The Golem known as Dreadnought,
He fought with all of his might!
But when the lightning came down,
We ran off into the night~
And myself, dear Lenelia!
I did what I could, I took my lumps
So it is with pity that I tell you,
The Rose Kingdom looked like a bu-u-nch of chu-u-u-u-umps!

Oromis Silverspire
He had spent the last...eight hours traveling now? Had it been that long, of him just going back and fourth between riding, walking, galloping, and resting? His mind asleep and numb from his last interaction, seeing HIM for the first time in years, after thinking him to be dead. And how was he alive, last time he saw, Alamar was half buried in snow, screaming curses as Oromis left him to freeze to death. How on earth had he returned? Some pact with the dark forces that were better left alone? Who knew...now he continued to ride, just as he was taught, enough not to wear the horse out, but still enough to cover over 150 miles in two days. He had chosen a very strong riding horse, and intended on using it until he got all the way to the capital. He didn't know what was left Yaro and the group, but he imagined they were off continuing the plan. That was fine, his goal now was to raise an army, and make sure the North knew that he would still be just as good as the king. He had allies there, and hoped to keep them that way. Not that he was planning on any type of rebellion, there was no way he would shift for even a moment to the rebels. He just wanted to make sure that, if Yaro ended up dying, he would be the one that would take ALL of Yunakai. It didn't cross his mind once that he might be destroyed.

What did cross his mind, as he continued his third and final day to the capital, was how Yaro had treated him. Of course, he had set the bar low, there was no way he was going to show anyone what he was capable of until he knew what they could do. By personally acting like a moron, the bar was set low, so anything great he did would be a good thing. He also might let on more secrets if he thought he could get away with it.

Not that Oromis was the brightest, no, he never had been. Certainly not school wise, and even most book smarts he didn't have. What he had, was a crafty mind, that seemed to work with whatever he needed, and of course, street smarts. He knew how to manipulate, make allies, and insult people left and right. He left sticking a nose into the books for the magi, the people who might amass some power but in the end, never know what to do with it. But he knew, he knew how to control people, and magic. He knew that he would one day control everything in Yunakai, and perhaps further. But for now, he needed to bide his time, collect his army, and wait.

Of course part of that would be grabbing his elite again. He hadn't seen them in a few weeks, and had hoped they were still alright. Steadfastly loyal, with almost a cultish appreciation for him, they would follow him into hell and back, and he had no doubt they would be ready to take up arms with him again.

His thoughts bounced back to Alamar. It was a terrifying moment, full of excitement and fear, for even though he loathed Alamar, he still was wise enough to fear a man such as that. He knew he would be a challenge, he would be able to read the moves of the armies, to find his plan. He had always been good at that, everything to annoy and get under his skin, Alamar could do. So he knew he might need help...but who? It wasn't like brilliant heroes, that would follow or bend to his ideals, would just show up. Wishing for that, and banking on that, was as foolish as wishing for rain or snow, as all it would lead to was disappointment.

"My my my.....I was hoping to see you before you heard the news, Most Venerable King Thornton Rose. it has been such a long time since we last discoursed."

A sweet voice spoke out, as Thornton made his way through the waiting hall of the Castle, near the throne room. Stepping out of the shadows, a young looking woman appeared. She wore a regal dress with the colors matching the green of the Rose Kingdom, and walked with a practiced grace. She wore her hair short and practical, a typical style in the Kingdom of Syndaria, and atop her brow was a glittering emerald studded crown adorning her forehead.

This was Queen Valerie Yuriya Idylis, the current Queen of Syndaria.

She would curtsy to King Thornton respectfully, before flashing him a warm smile. "Lord Vohon had informed me you were eating, thus I did not wish to intrude up you....But when I heard of Cecile's return, I could barely contain my excitement!" She said, putting on the practiced act of youthful joy. She had known Thornton and Cecile for quite some time- When she ascended the Throne at 55, barely looking more than a child, she had attended a gathering in the Rose Kingdom.

Back then, she made sure to befriend the two children. She had shown Cecile how to make a rose bloom with her 'meager' magical talents, and had done her best to try and capture the infatuation of the young Thornton, even kissing him on the cheek when they were forced to bid each-other goodbye. The two became regular corespondents over letters. When Cecile had went taken captive, to ensure that she maintained the image of long-standing friend, she offered the Rose Kingdom her Fallen Army to ravage Bathelon, though the former King rejected it, for whatever reason.

She maintained the image of stalwart ally, and now, she had to continue to play on that.

"It has been too long, my dear Thornton. I have missed you and Cecile so much. I wanted to visit, but with everything going on, I had to ensure that any mark of rebellion in my lands was crushed. I bring gifts and good tidings, Thornton, and I reaffirm offer my aid and support in your time of need....o-of course, only if you want it!" She said, putting on a show of embarrassment of how informal that sounded.

She had the smarts to use magic to warm her cheeks, making them gleam a low pink at her words. She would then take a deep breath, before smiling towards him again. "Please, allow me to accompany you to see Cecile, I've miss you and the girl terribly and I would love to catch up with you again." She said, as they'd hear a chirp coming from her shoulder. Wrapped around her shoulders protectively was her familiar- the griffin Sinclair, who she received when she was 65.

It was no secret that the Kingdom of Syndaria was home to many species many thought nearly-extinct. It had been a long-standing policy that Syndaria would offer Sanctuary and aid to these unfortunate creatures during their times of need. Sinclair had been both Valerie's pet and familiar for nearly twenty years now, and she used him as a trusted confidant and messenger. There was little more dangerous than an angry griffin, especially one who was a familiar.

Next to Yoren was Lanister's weapon, cloak, and mask....The cloak was torn, the blade shattered, and the mask had a spray of blood on it. Yaro and Lanister had fought in the city, but....Lanister had not survived. He died serving the Rose Kingdom, ever the stalwart soldier to the end. There was a letter inside the cloak, likely his last words, but for now it was wrapped up by the cloak respectfully....the last of Mavarath's blood-line had finally met his end.

This war was not kind to heroes....

So close...

He was so damn close! Aizen had been silent and brooding for the entire ride back. He had the rebel leaders right in his grasp! He could have made all of them ten pounds heavier with arrows... but then Lanister fell. Seeing his former master die was enough to break the young Hobbit's morale. When the retreat was called, he was among the first to go. The only healer Aizen knew, that lunatic doctor Klaus, was likely in no mood to use his resurrection magic upon him. Heck, without a Cleric or Necromancer present it wasn't possible to even reach the souls of the departed without physically going to the Afterlife, which was no easy task itself.

After the rendezvous in the Rose Kingdom, Aizen was to return to Valpurina, to undergo the trials to become the Silencer.

"When that is done," he murmured to himself, sitting across from what remained of Lanister. "When I am Silencer, I will have my revenge." His voice was beyond cold. So great was Aizen's anger, he couldn't even convey it with rage, only calmness.

Thornton felt as if a weight were somehow lifted from him. He couldn't explain it, but this was the first person to act "normally" around him in quite some time. He was capivated by what eased the loneliness he had become so accustomed to.

For this reason, he was comfortable inviting Kuvira to join him. As the group made their way towards the doors, another individual appeared. It was the ruler of a distant kingdom, one that had been an ally to the Rose Kingdom.

A small smile curved at Thornton's lips and he stepped nearer to greet the vampire. He bowed to her and held out a hand, "yes, indeed, my sister has returned. We were all about to greet her and her escorts". The two greeted and the group proceeded forward, walking slowly through the palace and eventually making their way to the main entrance. The entrance was guarded by several guards dressed in full uniform. Vohon followed closely alongside Thornton.

Outside the castle the remainder of the group was just arriving. Cecile was still blinking awake as she took in the depressing scene before her. It seemed Yoren had suffered severe injuries... and Lanister was nowhere to be seen. She shook her head because it was hurting, but for the most part she appeared alright. The last thing she remembered was believing her life was near its end, and Cecile believed she still felt the icy chill that almost suffocated her.

Cecile looked sadly over Yoren who was seated across the buggy. "I'm so sorry, master Yoren", she said softly to him. She shifted then to her knees and peered out the window. She quickly learned the rest of the group didn't look much better, but what was before the group made her eyes brighten. It was the Rose KIngdom palace. The air was fresh and cold as the highlands often were and the mountains were snowcapped. The buggy pulled in and as soon as it stopped Cecile was on her feet again. Thornton and his company was just exiting the building.

"Thornton!" she exclaimed; she hadn't seen her brother in a long time. She ran to him and the two embraced in a long hug.

"Cecile, I'm so glad you have made it home safely. I've missed you greatly".

My brother, it was these brave people who ensured my safe arrival. I believe we all deserve the opportunity to refresh ourselveses in the safety of the palace."

"Very well, that should be no issue", said Thornton as he nodded to the guests.

Indeed, it felt reassuring to be in the safe confines of the Rose Kingdom. Cecile took a step back and examined the other guests alongside her brother. It was a queen whose name she could no longer recall... and a servant she didn't recognize. How long had she been gone? She wondered.

Lance had spent the journey back from Yunakai in a silent fit reminiscent of his late father's early ruling days, when Varudian was more easily frustrated. And despite his limp, Lance kept pace with the group. Anyone who tried to approach him was met with a dark scowl; anyone who asked him to ride the carriage would witness a brief, self-deprecating smile, and the injured king's continued silence.

The battle at the palace had dealt Lance a heavy blow from a mace that had almost shattered part of his hip bone. His accelerated healing was likely the only reason he could still walk on his own, and his increased pain tolerance following the healing (as well as an unhealthy dose of mulishness) let him carry on despite the long journey.

Unfortunately, every stop the hobbling caravan made would leave the werewolf leaning heavily against the carriage, his bad leg bearing no weight, and clutching at his hip. Then they would move again, and he would bury it behind an idiotic will to overcome this injury. While making it worse. Lance was terrible with self-preservation, it seemed, and would probably run himself into an early grave.

Now, the king was sitting back against the buggy, watching Cecile's reunion with her brother and some royal woman Lance immediately didn't trust, fidgeting restlessly but aware he was in desperate need of rest. The best pastime he found was wondering why that servant woman gave him the creeps. She smelled.. dead.

Great. First murderous doctors and evasive witches. Now, zombies. Maybe zombies. Maybe she was just an undertaker who forgot to bathe. Knowing their luck, though, she was probably some vengeful undead being who needed to pretend to be alive to manipulate the minds around her into bending to her death-defying will.

KUVIRA

The 'servant' continued to stroll down the empty halls alongside her king. Their hold on eachother never loosened, the silence of the premise was one of solace. For a moment it seemed like nothing had changed, it is until she heard a voice. A voice that another would see as sweet but to her it was piercing like knives. Kuvira didn't have to turn around to know who it was. Queen Valerie Yuriya Idylis, the current Queen of Syndaria, Her former rival. Despite, giving off a look of awe, internally she could feel her blood beginning to boil. Syndaria and Yunakai were never allies, always had different views, neither one willing to compromise. Kuvira managed to keep the two nations on mutual terms in the past, but of course times have changed.

Kuvira bowed to the queen, no words needed to be spoken because in this disguise her opinions were unnecessary.

Every word that fell out of the Queen's lips seemed... Irritating to her. For personal reasons, it's natural for every word a foe speaks to dig under your skin. However, that was not the only reason, She already knew Valerie's motives. Despite, Thornton's oblivion to this strategy, it was a common one especially for women... The art of seduction. Her artifically blushed cheeks, her attire with the corresponding colors of the rose kingdom's. She wanted more than just offering arms, she wanted him.

Makes sense. She would've probably done the same. An absence of his fiancee due to assassination gave her the chance to be the shoulder to cry on and eventually the queen the rose kingdom desired. Too bad, she happened to put her plans into motion in an untimely manner.

Valerie was attempting to give off a persona of innocence. A quality for a princess, but never for a queen. With Valerie's age and experiences, Kuvira concluded that the variable had been long gone. Her first statement was bold one, 'Venerable King', a term that seemed out of place. A man's foundation is his pride, and she was already tugging on it. Kuvira had to give her credit, she maintained the appearance of a confidant to both Cecile and Thornton, something that took a lot of effort. Valerie wasn't as she made others perserve her, therefore Kuvira knew better than to underestimate. She already made that mistake with Yaro. For now, Thornton was in the darkness and she was his beacon of light... When the time was right.

When they arrived outside of the castle, Kuvira watched as the buggy come to a halt. All of its passengers were beaten up, some in her perspective missing. Where have they gone? Where was Lanister? Was Maeve with them?, she pondered. She couldn't help but smile at the union of siblings offering embrace. Something that she never had and perhaps never will. She glanced at Lance, who leaned against the buggy, regenerating at a slow rate.

A plan popped into her head, she decided to put her disguise into good use. Kuvira excused herself before rushing back inside. She beckoned a few servants to approach her. "The King as well as his guest need refreshments, Wine and water seems to be in order. They also need medical attention. Be quick, King Thornton requests it with urgency." She informed. the servants nodded before persuing their orders. Kuvira than entered a study room in a dicreet manner, making sure no one followed behind her. She then placed a piece of paper and a quill before her, beginning to write. After she was finished she folded it in an orderly manner and slid it in her sleeve. Kuvira exited out, quietly closing the door behind her prior to returning outside. The servants were already out and about, moving with ease.

Kuvira took a glass of wine and water to lance since in her luck, he was not yet tended to. She curtsied before offering a smile. "King Lance of Bathelon, it is an honor to be in your presence. Water or wine?" She asked. "You will get medical attention shortly. I am devastated that you are hurt as well as your companions." What Kuvira said was sincere, she had always seen Lance as an ally. He backed her when she went against rose kingdom, even after. She assisted him in getting a cure, as well as helping him compose himself after his reveal as a werewolf. He was one of the few people she felt she could trust.

She didn't want to speak to him for too long, that would only make people suspicious. "It was a pleasure meeting you, King Lance. I hope to see you again." She placed whatever beverage she still had in her hand on the floor of the buggy and gave him a firm handshake. She leaving the note in his hand as she pulled away. She then moved away, beginning to tend to other people. Hopefully, he would comply with what was inside. Now all she had to do was wait.

Dear Lance,

Despite the current state that you are in, I am afraid your day is not over. I request an audience with you, 3 hours from now in the abandon tavern named the hollows, located near the edge of the capital city. What I will inform you there is urgent and may change the playing field to your favor. Bring no one else and use discretion. There are people that cannot be trusted.

Safe Travels,

Regina

Cecile was too overjoyed to be safe and home to notice Kuvira slip anything to Lance. She joined Lance's side, excitedly reached for his empty hand and clutching it in her own. She felt guilty to be happy following such a defeat, but Cecile was eager to make her new abilities known. She could cast now without a wand.

"Come on", she said to Lance, pulling him forward and toward the opened castle gates. Inside refreshments were waiting, and Cecile was ready to be fed. Thornton and Vohon followed as they entered.

A few minutes later everyone was seated at the table, engaging freely as they pleased. Thornton was sitting beside his twin sister.

"Cecile, you were very lucky to make it safely to our kingdom. This is the best place for you to remain while our neighbors are so plagued by war", he went on.

Cecile was munching on bread, but suddenly stoppe, her plump lips dirtied with bread crumbs which she didn't wipe away.

"But brother. We can't stay long. We have to hurry to Bathelon to protect Alethea", she said. It was revealed at Wyrm's skull that demons were seeking to destroy the Umbra Carcerem prison.

Thornton of course appeared displeased. A look of anger came to his blue eyes, "nonsense! No demons can infiltrate Alethea!"

Cecile turned to Lance with raised eye brows and back to her brother, "but we have to! They're after Alethea!"

Lance looked up as the (dead?) servant woman approached, and while he didn't smile his gaze was grateful. "Water, please," he requested, and as she handed him the beverage he nodded. "Thank you, but I'm afraid that there isn't much more that can be done for my injuries. Focus your supplies and attentions on the others." He drank briefly, but the cold water settled poorly in his stomach, so he set it aside just as the servant reached her hand out for a handshake. He paused for a moment, eyebrow raised, but his attention flickered to a barely-seen scrap of parchment. Ah.

He took her hand, shaking it, and slipping the paper into a pocket as she withdrew. "Thank you again," he said, rising to his feet and watching the woman leave. It was then that Cecile came up and grabbed his hand and began yanking him towards the palace. He followed as well as he could, but his walking pace was much slower than the young princess's. It made him feel old.

At the dinner, Lance was still mostly quiet, up until the conversation turned to the topic of Alethea. Lance shifted at Thornton's insistent declaration that the demons could not possibly breach the magical prison.

"I received reports on our way here that the demon forces were massing outside of the prison. They obviously think that they can infiltrate it. Whether or not they actually succeed, their confidence means that we must be prepared either way. I would much rather waste resources and be safe, than be lax and unleash another Raid on this world. And while Bathelon survived the first Raids out of luck, preparation, and timing, my people will not be so fortunate again, between the recent Plague and the demons. The kingdom's outlying towns have already been assaulted, and if they actually open Alethea, Bathelon will fall." His eyes narrowed and he paused, letting Thornton consider some more. "Would you so willingly let an ally of your kingdom down, Thornton?" Hopefully that would convince him.

Yoren would sit up in his seat as best as he could, doing his best to eat with his one hand and the aid of a servant. He wore fresh clothes, a set of red finery given to him after his wounds had been treated, and his flesh looked just a little bit rosier, though that may have simply been the wine doing it's job well. Taking a few bites from his food, the aging assassin would allow the King of Bathelon to speak his piece before gently wipe his mouth with a handkerchief and speaking up.

"Your grace, I believe it would be wiser if you were to leave a majority of your forces here and sending a few of your more elite troops to aid in Bathelon's plight, at least for the time being. During our trip, we encountered many disturbing sights, that I feel should be covered as soon as possible, preferably now. The self styled king of Yunakai has an iron grip on the nation, and while there are many who support him, it seems as though there are also a few among the population there willing to fight back if given a chance. Yaro has also obtained multiple companies of mercenaries to supplement his normal troops, and I fear what Princess Cecile says is true. We encountered a town beset by minor demons, and when we went to the source, we found that a bandit leader had sacrificed his own men, and was preparing to sacrifice the mayor of the town, in order to summon a major demon, one that could of killed us if it had not been for the actions of everyone here, and the actions of the departed." Yoren stopped for a moment, covering his mouth for a moment before wiping his eyes and continuing.

"Besides this information, I fear that Yaro was also able to convince King Oromis to bend the knee to the rebel king, and while we were in Amberjack, I saw no sign of him. Sir Edwin has gone missing as well, after accepting the deal of a powerful demoness we encountered on our journey." He said, taking a moment to empty another goblet of wine, and take a few bites of bread, before wiping his mouth again with his handkerchief.

"Besides this, it also seems that Yaro was able to obtain the services of at least one Lanun Privateer, a man by the name of Falamar, captain of the Black Wind. He is known and feared all along the coast of Morganna, and is a wanted for piracy in no less then four dozen cities and nation-states. Now it appears that Yaro has pardoned him of all past crimes towards the nation of Yunakai, and this could lead to Yaro obtaining an army of Lanun pirates. More than likely, Yaro has sent The once-King Oromis out as a forward raiding leader. No doubt, we shall see some sign of him in our lands soon. As for the pirates, I suspect Yaro is attempting to cut a deal with Falamar and those captains who follow him to have them attack the coast of Bathelon, or perhaps even Syndaria," At this, Yoren would give Queen Valerie a quick look, "In order to act as a decoy for the main invasion of our fair nation. And yes, I do believe he is mad enough to do it. The man has surrounded himself with pirates, necromancers, and demons, and has even taken a woods witch as his royal consort, so doubtless they are filling hhis head with gods know what. All in all, the situation appears to be very grim," He would finish with that, as he would grab another biscuit. "Then there's also the matter of my maiming and Sir Lannistar's death. But I would not consider that good table talk. Better I tell you in private later,"

Aizen remained silent as he assisted Yoren how ever he could. His mind was elsewhere, back at Valpurina, where he would become Silencer. Even the mention of Alethea didn't stir him. Demons and such were of no concern to him. He had already seen enough to have an opinion on such a crisis.

"As many violent, sociopathic insanely strong people live in Morganna, I am surprised the Demons do not quake in their boots." He murmured, only loud enough for Yoren to hear. "All we would need to do is declare open season on all of demon kind..."

. . .

Lenelia had a blast as he made his way through the city, playing his song of Amberjack and raking in coin. Whispers of Lance and Cecile's incompetence began to spread. Soon enough, Lenelia would unintentionally make the two laughingstocks.

Valerie would walk with Thornton as their guests approached, giving the undead woman a cursory glance of distrust, before enveloping Cecile into a hug. She let her magic warm her body so that she could give off a warm embrace to the Young and Gifted Magus, for if what rumor had truly been told accurately, she was advancing far beyond her capabilities- It took mages years to master even the basic arts, most practiced young, and longer to be able to cast without a focal point such as a staff or a wand. Valerie herself kept a wand merely because it empowered her abilities.

From what her spies had told her, Cecile had mastered both the basics and hand summoning in less then a year.

She was too valuable to lose. Valerie had to maintain her friendship with Cecile, though the girl could be a tad bit....irritating at times, she made up for it with being able to rise to the occasion. "Cecile, my dear friend, it has been too long...Oh, but you are injured! Allow me to aid you, my dear girl." Valerie said, before reaching into her pocket and retrieving her wand. She would then raise it before the girl, before giving her a slight tap on her collarbone.

"Damna Reparare"

Cecile would find her cuts and bruises begin to heal, along with her outfit, by the magic in the woman's wand. Valerie was still a skilled mage, she had not spent years in the study of the Mortalitasi without understanding magic, hell, her culture was built on a fundamentalist society based around Magic! They treated it as something sacred, since it was a gift of their patron god, and thus Valerie thought her ancestor would be proud that she had excelled in that department.

When word that Alethea's protective seals could be breached, Valerie had to maintain her composure- Her Kingdom was lucky, it fared well during the raids, suffering little damage as the rest of the world was consumed by unholy fire. However, she had to maintain her role first and foremost. Acting rash could cost her dearly. "King Lance, My Dear Cecile, Master Yoren, I believe Thornton is simply worried- We hear nothing from you after you had fled from the Rose Kingdom on your excursion, and then you return, bloodied and injured. Would it not be best to let our forces handle Alethea's defense?" She said, trying to play the part of the reasonable leader.

"As for the Lanun....heh, I'd like to see them try to attack us- It has been too long since my brother was murdered by that whore of a Pirate Captain Hannah, I'd like to return the favor, and see her sent to void. It will be a grieving sister that sends her there." Valerie said, playing the act of a sorrowful, vengeful sister, knowing that Thornton would understand what it was like to have your siblings taken from you and fall for the ploy.

When Aizen's words reached the room, they'd be surprised to hear another voice.
"That line of action, Young Silencer, is not as far off as you'd believe."

Standing before them now, walking with his two fellows behind him, Grand-Master Osuin would walk as they'd examine the Cloth holding Lanister's body. Osuin would place his hand on the Young Master's chest, before closing his eyes, muttering as a prayer to his gods. "So the last of Mavarath's line meets his end....This is the last straw. It has become clear we've been silent for too long. Our warnings ignored for too long." Osuin said.

In his hands, as they approached, was perhaps the most sacred text in the Wilting Rose, one that Yoren and Aizen (along with anyone who had a good knowledge of history) would recognize- The Sacred Scripture of the Inquisition.

It was the founding tome of the Rosecae Inqusition- King Rosecae, and his son Moyesii, gave this tome to the founders of the Inquisition, authorizing it's formation. Written inside was the signatures of the Divine Speakers for each of the Good Gods, each one in union that such an extreme measure had to be taken. It was the proof of their legitimacy, before the groups reforming into the Order known as the Wilting Rose, and was always kept as the cornerstone of their history.

The Tome detailed the Laws and Contingencies that the Inquisition, and it's followers, had to abide by, written during the demon raids, in a world gone mad, to restore order and peace among the disunited and scared populace. It gave clear and detailed instructions into the handling and extermination of both Demons and Monsters. Eventually, it was passed down by each of the Grand-Master's of the Wilting Rose, their fundamental laws within Valpurina. It started their knowledge into handling demon as well as combating and killing both Demons and Monsters, eventually the knowledge becoming more refined and precise. The Three Grand Masters would not risk or compromise the safety of what could possibly be their most precious artifact, unless it was deemed absolutely necessary.

"King Thornton Rose.....We need to speak, Immediately." Osuin said, his voice grave and serious, unfitting of the kindly elven Master known for his collected nature.

The carriage that Oromis was in would suddenly stop. Not even a second later, the demon Chalondra and her brother Lexus would step in, both silent until the carriage started again. Chalondra would then look towards Oromis. "Sorry it took so long for us to regroup. Their blatant attack on the Capitol was...unexpected, but at least we know what we are up against now- Children trying to play hero. " Chalondra said, before handing Oromis a scroll. It had the mark of the Yunkanian Military. "Your badge of office, The King told me to hand this to you, so that the military respects your authority."

Lexus would look towards Oromis and act his part of the war strategist. "I have several potential sites where we can secure resources, points of interest, and altogether weaken the Rose Kingdom's defense, before the invasion begins- On your leave, Lord Oromis, I shall begin my part of the plan. Tell us where to strike first and we shall begin. " Lexus said to him.

"Remember though, we must act under the guise of bandits for now- We cannot risk compromising our position before the Invasion is ready, but I am sure you are already well aware of that. You are our general, after all. "Chalondra said, stroking the ego of the Yunakai Noble.

~Elsewhere~

Inside of a wooden coffin, buried under six feet of dirt, a sharp gasp would rattle from the body within. Confusion, shock, and fear would run rampant through the figures mind. How did they get here? All they remembered was.....suffocating, vision turning dark, life fading.....They....died. But if that was true, how were they breathing now?! How long had they been down here in this hole? The wood wasn't rotten yet, so it couldn't have been long....their clothes reeked, they smelled of blood, and all around them felt.....

It felt wrong....so very wrong!

Opting to look for a means of escape, they began grasping at their wooden tomb, fingers
digging into the planks holding it together, before with a mighty tug, a sharp piece of it was pulled free. Using that Shard, theyd begin digging through the soil. Dirt and bugs spilled over their body and mouth, and they could feel their lungs tightening from the lack of oxygen, but desperation and sheer indomitable will pushed them forward until they finally saw the roots of the grass and weeds below.

Beneath a Tomb-stone, with the name 'Toriel Conner's' etched onto a simple stone slab, an arm would shoot out of the dirt below, grasping at her freedom, before pulling herself out, her pink hair matted and filthy, as she placed her arms on the ground around her, taking deep breaths of life-giving oxygen.

Kuvira's spell had worked too well...

A twinge of guilt shot through Aizen's mind as Osuin mentioned that Lanister was the last of his line. That little piece of trivia had not been learned by him.. The assassin had no wife? No heir? A tragic existence, indeed. Part of the young Hobbit wondered if Lanister would even consent to a resurrection, but at the same time, competent Healers were hard to find...

Healers...

Aizen's guilt soon turned to a tranquil rage. It was that Healer, Heinrich Klaus. His fault that Lanister died. He did not know if it was Klaus who delivered the killing blow, but with all of the times he had saved his own allies from death, he had no doubt there was a hand of his in Lanister's demise. He needed to die more than any other rebel. Especially with the words he had parted with.

*When next you see me, I will be turning the world as gray and empty as me.*

The emphasis on grey.. Aizen knew he sought Gray Truth. This could not come to fruition. Perhaps Osuin had answers? When the Master fell silent, Aizen took his attention with a tug of his shoulder.

"I fear of a threat greater than the imprisoned demons.. It is the man partially responsible for Master Lanister's death. His name is Heinrich Klaus.. and he seeks the Gray Truth. I do not want to imagine what horrors he will inflict if he obtains that weapon but.. worst case scenario? The demons quake in fear, and obey him. What I want to know from you, Grandmaster... how do I counter Gray Truth? How do I counter pure insanity?"

"The end justifies all means"
Demons Demons Demons. As much as he liked their fighting abilities, he never liked being near them. Reminded him too much of his brother. He had to fight back words as they spoke about the capital being where he just was. A sorry place that was...he was in the capital, right here. Still, there was a job to be done, and that meant he would be ready to tear apart the Rose. He had some ideas, though he didn't know enough about the Rose to really make hard decisions.

"Alright..." He said, faking a sigh and acting as if he was hard at work thinking of a plan. He already had a plan, he knew what needed to be done. "Fortunately, bandits will work just fine. There are a few things that the Rose should be deprived of that will make an attack easier. Already their moral is lowered from the failed attack, and of course, the news of a united Yunakai should strike fear into their hearts. We need to play on this, the lower their moral is, the high ours will be, and the easier it will be to fall their great cities without losing men." He personally wouldn't mind losing Demons, but still, he wanted to keep loyal and strong soldiers. "Gold, a huge support for their armies and defenses, and in their welfare in general. I know it is petty to strike at gold mines and supply lines, but the more we have that they don't will be perfect. So long as they don't know we are working with you, it could be just bandits, or if they discover who you really are, they could be distracted and afraid demons are attacking their merchants. Besides, the more of these attacks that strike successfully, the less and less other merchants will want to be going in there." A quick pause, then he continued. "Any distraction is a good one, and if they move even a small amount of troops away from the main army's path, then it should be a big help. I'd imagine with all your portals you could easily handle this task? You'll have plenty of time anyway, as I have many troops to rally here, and then we need to make our way down. By the time our might is fully mustered, they will have been properly robbed and hopefully crippled. Once again, I know a few attacks won't do too much, but the goal is to distract them, lower more moral, and hopefully discourage other merchants and traitors to go into their territories."

No no no no! Stupid! Now was not the time to sit back and cower, now was the time to gather some forces and assault them right now! As much as he wanted to see the library, he didn't knew the more important task was getting a war pumping right now. Perfect distraction for his plans to unfold, and he knew his brother couldn't resist the call to battle. He needed to find the Princess, she was the key for him to get a handhold in running this place. There were so many things he needed to do, and things were falling into place perfectly, just like He had predicted. But now was not the time to celebrate that, he needed to start fusing a war here.

Many times he had heard the bard play his song, and while it was amusing, and normally he wouldn't care, he couldn't have the names of the royalty be weakened! At least, not the girl. He was sure the next time he went by the Bard as he was playing, he would slip a note tied to some gold in there, almost all of his money. The note would read:

"Don't be a fool. Yunakai will not be happy that a bunch of armed Royalty came stomping into their capital. By disgracing the names of their royalty, you weaken our chances of victory. However, you are correct in your song about them, and I would not want your talents to go unused. Cecile is...young, and foolish, and has no idea what she is doing. But she can LEARN. Lance, he is old, and stubborn, and he will not change his mind. He needs to go, because he will lead the Rose into Chaos and Doom. It would please me greatly, and you will earn my services and debt to you, if you would shift your blame to ONLY the King? Thank you in advance, come see me if you need anything in return,

-------Majere-------

He then needed to go find Cecile, as she was still a key piece. It took him long enough, but upon finding her, he simply slid into her view, and waited for his presence to be known.

Chalondra would nod thoughtfully. "A sound plan- Snowflakes on a branch, waiting for it to snap. While you gather the forces, our clans can use bandit tactics to bleed them and weaken them.....Like hunting with wolves, when they trap a bear- when finally it is trapped, the alpha goes for the throat." Chalondra said, making him seem like the Alpha, to boost his ego and pride. Everything was finally coming into motion- Years of careful planning and arduous gatherings of every demon and raid survivor, now was time to avenge the long standing insult-

Make the Rose Kingdom fall.

Chalondra then looked towards him as he mentioned gathering his elite and smiled, before speaking up. "Stop the carriage." She said, as it stopped. She would look towards Oromis, before standing up. "Walk outside for a moment, Oromis.....Commit what you see to memory. Use it as fuel to drive yourself forward." Chalondra said, as her and her brother stepped outside.

The area below was a forest before a clearing, as the mist of the nearby rocky crags finally broke free. Soon, the sound of metal clanking began echoing, before...an army began exiting. It consisted of the Yunakai Forces, now finally reunited, and the forces of the Yunakai Demon Clans. The larger of the demons acted as beasts of burden for their engines of war. They walked as if.....they were walking to their death. They accepted that this fight could very well be their last, that this would be the last time they saw the lush land that was Yunakai.

But there was no fear.....no....

There was Joy. Determination.

This was a war they longed for- to prove the Superiority of the Dragon Kings of Yunakai over the weak-willed weeds of the Rose Kingdom. They knew this was suicide mission, but they didn't back away- With an almost religious zeal, and the knowledge that the great general Oromis was leading them and with them, they marched without fear or care of what could happen. They marched for the Honor of their kingdom, the love of their homeland, and the idea that they had a chance to win.

Chalondra would look towards Oromis, before holding her hand out "This is our.....No, this is your army, Oromis. This is the beginning of it- These men and women, despite the fact that they may die, willingly go forth into battle, with the knowledge that YOU are leading them, Oromis....the Indomitable. You tell them to perish on their own swords, and they shall do so with glad hearts and completely of their own will. " She told him. This was to show him what he had in his hands- The greatest army that Yunakai had ever mustered. Soon, he'd be marching for the Rose Kingdom.

Marching for War.

Several of the soldiers saw Oromis and the others on the cliff overwatching. In response to this, instead of stopping, they raised the flags of Yunakai, and marched forward. Even in it's youngest form, this army was ready and willing to throw itself unto the machine of war for Yunakai.....they were more than prepared to die- they welcomed it with open arms!

They were prepared for Oromis to lead them.

Cecile looked from face to face across the long table as the men explained their complex situation. She frequently turned back to Thornton to examine his expression, but for the most part the girl simply did her best to keep her tongue. She hoped that maybe these others could better convince her brother about how important every next move for the Rose Kingdom could be.

Thornton was sitting with has back straightened and his head tilting downward with a frown. He nodded as Yoren explained what the group had learned during their travels. It semeed the Rose KIngdom was in danger, and a riled up dictatorship would soon be upon them. His eyes met occasionally with Cecile's, but he averted them. He knew that enegetic sparkle in her eyes meant she wanted her way.

"I see...", said Thorton at last to Yoren. "Thank you for bringing this to my attention", he glanced around the table and added, "thank you all".

Now Thornton at last addressed his sibling again and her demands.

"My sister, it is true that our kingdom could soon be under attack. It is also true that Bathelon is in need of our assistance. We will of course aid our ally in whatever way we can, but I will only allow you to go after you prove to me that you have potential out there in military operations".

The table fell silent then. Vohon looked over Cecile and back to Thornton with a very questioning gaze and a frown.

"Tonight in the rose gardens you must demonstrate to us what you've learned since you have been away training with Lance". He continued, "and you Lance must also prove to me that your leadership is worth an alliance".

Cecile smiled to Alamar as he sat down, suddenly interrupting the conversation. Another awkward silence fell over the table.

"My power is beyond your understanding..."
He almost smiled as another silence fell over the table. It meant his presence was known, and that he was enough of an impact to cause a stir. He was able to get his satisfaction out with a warm smile towards Cecile, as he was quite happy she wasn't angry with him for abandoning her in search of Oromis. Still, he scooted his chair forward, no longer wanting to just be in the background, but being front and center. He knew it wasn't his place to speak amongst all these nobles and rulers, but at this point, he hardly cared. If his plans went accordingly, he would be gaining power extraordinarily fast, and he was quite happy with that.

When silences fall, a few different things could happen. The people involved could look away, look down, fidget, or perhaps look to others to speak. Though the one thing they all have in common, is they want the silence to go away. Alamar did not have this problem, as his years of lone travel had taught him to no longer fear silence. He waited, just enough so that the silence hit it's peak, and right as it was about to fall, he spoke.

"Oh, no need to go all silent on my account." He said in a tone that some would either take as sincere, or sarcastic. "But still, I suppose because you all have done such a bang-up job speaking yourselves, I suppose I could slide in a few words." He was quiet again, just for a few seconds, enough to get the attention of everyone there.

"First off, concerning the Princess, I don't believe there is any need for her to be showing off her skills. She has them, and there is no need to be playing fire tag (Fire tag was a common game most young magi would play, running around shooting little embers of flame onto people to tag them. A good way to practice aim and focus at the same time) while the threat of a united Yunakai is before us. I am certain none of you meant to say stupid things, because none of you understand the true threat here." The last part was spoken slowly, almost as an insult, yet still, given with a certain amount of innocence, as to make it as though he had no idea he was being insulting. "With brilliant leaders like the many of you here, it is possible to save the Rose, yet, we must not waste our time with unconcerning things like the training of the Princess, who was able to survive a great raid on a highly guarded enemy base, which most of your captains couldn't survive. Once again, I am not undermining you, I am simply stating what must be done." Another pause.

"I know Oromis well, too well, and he would not just kneel, nor would his mind be easily controlled. Something caused him to want to do this, so I would imagine one of you disrespected him in some way that he would go to any length to get revenge. So you will have that united front, along with a madman who just wants to slaughter people in this ROOM, and a massive army who will be rallied by the fact they defended against a raid on one of their strongest cities; while our soldiers will shake in fear because of the great foe, and their moral will be quite poor because of a failed attack. Tell me who wins here?" Another pause.

"What needs to be done right now, is to get Oromis mad at the rebels again. Why have us fight, when they can do it for us? I am a man of magic, purely, magic, which means I must conserve my energy whenever possible. If we can direct Oromis' rage at Yoren, he will just betray him, the rebellion starts again, and Yunakai returns to being a threatless country that we can continue to walk all over." He grinned, and sat back. "Questions? Comments? Concerns?" He gave a friendly smile to everyone there to rap up his little speech.

Kuvira
Kuvira stood in the corner of the dining hall, watching them all dive into their discussions with a pitcher of wine in her hands. Being disguised as a servant did have its perks, it made it easier to easedrop without the attracting any suspension. With this advantage she had time to take evaluate her counterparts.

Cecile was still the young, naive girl she met however she did feel an increase in her mana; seemed she was getting stronger by the day, she did have potential after all. Lance still managed to remain King despite the current situation of morganna, However, Yaro had gotten a hold of his kingdom as well. He needed assistance keeping his land at bay, something she could use to her advantage. Same went for Queen Valerie, she is the Queen of a powerful nation and a woman of intellect, setting her eyes out for Thornton when he is the most vulnerable. A clever move. If Kuvira could play her cards right...she could gain a few things from the situation at hand. One thing was clear now, Communicating with Valerie would have to be put onto her agenda.

There were new individuals as well such as the man named Alamar, Who was a cunning man and as he claimed seemingly a man of talent. She wasn't sure if she could potentially entrust him with her true identity or even set up strategies with him. However, She wasn't keep to take him off the list of future aids. She sighed softly when Alamar brought up her successor. Oromis had failed as a king but was awarded the role of a general by Yaro. Her questions was why? He must be a valuable asset to the Rebel's plan. Perhaps she could change that. For now, she had to make this game her own once again. It wouldn't be easy since she had to work from Square one but nothing was impossible especially with opportunity bestowed upon her from day one, she just had to make her moves carefully.

She continued to serve the guest before leaving the room to go down to the cellar to refill. It was then that a burst of emotions began to flood over her. Confusion and fear. Kuvira held her throat, gasping for air, as the pitcher fell to the floor. The reek of blood filled her nose. She felt as if she was being revived all over again, but all everything she felt didn't feel like her own. It was as if someone was leaving inside her. Her senses seemed to be alert as a sensation tugged on her. Getting stronger by every step she took towards it. Kuvira followed that instinct without hesitation, going to the stables and taking a horse without being seen by follow servants before riding off.

Where the sensation lead her was a cemetery, something that made set an alarm in her head. It was surely a place that she didn't wish to go back to yet she gained the courage to go inside anyways. Her heart fasted with every step she took, her eyes looking around for any dangers that could be lurking in that forsaken place. Her sensation became overwhelming as she approached a certain tomb in particular Toriel Conner.

She backed away, the beating of her heart became more rampant. The woman that Kuvira killed in cold blood. The Sister of her adversary. She located a shovel not too far from where she stood and began to dig it up. What she found was the wooden Coffin that buried her had been broken into and the pink haired corpse was no longer present. "Why is happening?" She murmured to her. Her eyes widened as she started to think. It happened on the same night that she had successfully performed her spell to resuscitate herself without the assistance of the living. But, it still gave her a reason to why Troy was no longer in her casket! She stepped out of the pit, looking around the perimeter for any signs of life. "Is someone there? If so, Reveal youself!" She command, Preparing herself for a fight.

Confusion....anger.....fear.....those emotions flooded Troy as she stood behind her tombstone. She would look down at her battered and bruised body. It was slowly healing, the body getting used to life again, but it was.....What happened?! She couldn't even remember what had happened after died! It was like her mind had begun swimming in a vortex of thousands. Soon, though, she felt it- The spark of life trailing near. It was like how she was connected to Muramasa- The two always knew where the other was. How did this make sense?!

When she heard the woman's voice call out, Troy would peak over the side, and both her and Kuvira would feel Troy's blistering rage. IT WAS HER! It was the woman that murdered her! She was at her weakest, and Kuvira cut her down, like a rabid animal. She was without honor, without dignity, and she'd be doing the entire world a favor in.....well, returning the favor. Grabbing the piece of wood she had liberated from her tomb, she stood up and faced her killer, for the first time in the entire year she had been dead.....that they both had been dead.

"Hello Kuvira.....Been a long time, hasn't it?...." She would use the tomb-stone to hold her up. Her clothes and hair smelled of death, and she looked like a strong breeze my topple her over, but she was still alive and still breathing. "I won't ask why you did what you did....frankly, I don't care.....Allow me, though, to return the kindness...." She said, as she moved closer, holding up the chunk of wood, intent on impaling her and ending her miserable existence!

However, both would feel a...pulse around their body. It would cause near excruciating mental pain, before dropping them to the ground. Troy would hold onto her head. "By the gods.....what witch-craft have you cast on me, Bitch?! Was killing me when I was already weak not enough for you, must you humiliate me further?!"

"She is not the result of your current predicament. That would be me."

Troy would look around, before looking up, and Kuvira would be able to see Troy's body freeze completely. In front of both was a woman, though she appeared more a ghost than a person. Though she possessed an attire that was clearly not normal, she stood as if she were royalty, a visage that made it clear that she held power that commanded respect. There was also the grin on her face.....It was as if chaos and madness were seeping out of her very presence. Though, if Kuvira knew her history, there was no denying who this woman was, who Kuvira had helped freed (in a sense).

Muramasa.....the Soul inside the Demon Sword....By the Gods, what had Kuvira unleashed?!

Osuin would look towards Aizen, before sighing, and press his hand to Aizen's shoulder. "To defeat your enemy.....you must know your enemy.....even practice their beliefs. Which is why we are here- We are here to do what should've been done before. It is clear now that no appropriate action shall be taken, if we continue to wait around.....Master Yoren.....Silencer Aizen....." He would place his hand on the book, before taking a deep breath and.....unclasping the books seals.

"It is time......The madness in this world cannot be allowed to fester any longer- This wound must be cut....."

Osuin would look towards Alamar and nod. "You speak wisdom, Young Mage....Amalyn chose right, her choice of successors......"He said, which would earn a few shocked looks. Alamar being asked to join the Mages College of Valpurina was one subject all on it's own, but Osuin just told him that.....Amalyn was going to be his instructor. More than that, Amalyn would be training Alamar to succeed her!
One of the Grand Masters of the Wilting Rose was putting THAT much faith into Alamar, signaled that they saw something in him that the others didn't- A willingness to do, despite everything else, what NEEDED to be done.

Osuin would hold the book in front of Thornton, before setting it down, opening the pages up, before gesturing to it. "YOU know what this is, Thornton......The Scripture of our Order's predecessor. Do not try to deny it's legitimacy, I was there when it was written, every law was signed by your ancestors, for the Lord Inquisitors direction! It was the sacred tome granting us proper authority to act, back then....and now."

Osuin would place his finger near the end of the tomb, written into it was a law signed by the Head's of Church and King Moyesii. "With the Umbra Carcerum's barriers threatened, and a united demon force spotted in Yunakai, I invoke King Moyesii's last contingency- In the event that, should Royal Forces fail to maintain the security and stability we have created against demonic forces, the Inquisition is granted divine authority to act in matters seen fit by the Churches of the Nine Gods." Osuin recited.

Osuin would then stand back, before speaking up. "As of this moment....I declare the Inquisition Reborn." Osuin said, before picking up the book and closing it, placing it in Clementina's hands."We will prevent the Demon's from entering the Umbra, we will find those responsible for atrocities inflicted on all the lands the Great Celestial Dragon has provided for us, and we shall restore order, with or without your approval!"

Osuin would lower the his hands, before speaking up. "I don't want to be your enemy, King Rose, but in the last year, I have lost many good men and women to this damned rebellion, and we now have just lost one of our leadership, not only that but Master Yoren was maimed.....I have respected your Kingdom for it was our vow to ensure it's security, but I cannot sit by and watch any longer." He said.

He would look towards Yoren, Aizen, and Alamar. "You three should go with Clementina.....We must prepare every Eldritch Knight, Assassin, and Mage for the battles that are to come.....war is coming, and if we fail to prevent it, then that shall be the end of our kingdoms. I must stay here, I need to speak with King Lance on matters concerning the both of us." He said, before Clementina and Amalyn would go to leave. It had been centuries since the last time the Wilting Rose Mobilized under the banner of the Rosecae Inquisition. Now...

The Inquisition was born again....and they were going to prepare for war against the forces of Yunakai. They would not let the Lands of the Great Savior Morganna see that FILTH taint this land again!
